all T8 did was look at Nissan's team and said "everything you can do, i can do better".
we're boned at this point. RedBull's gone elbow deep into another motorsport.

At this rate, I fear they'll return to NASCAR if one of the start and parks goes belly up given how they've gone this far in V8 Supercars.

Neither do I, but I've always wondered whether Red Bull would return to NASCAR considering their first attempt basically belly-flopped.

They haven't done it yet, and I doubt they will. Besides, T8 with their 2 cars have still scored more points than the Kellys with their 4

i feel like they'll absorb HRT if they do decide to do the 4 car deal.
then volvo will have to smack them around a bit and show them who's the boss at touring car racing.
what would really just stick it to all the other teams if Volvo turns up to test day at Eastern creek with a v8 powered wagon.

Absorb HRT? What have you been smoking? That implies that A) The Walkinshaws will sell up and B) Holden want nothing more to do with V8 Supercars.

Percat moves from D'Alberto Racing to HRT for the enduros.

And they get a massive thumbs-up from me for putting Murph with JC. HRT to change the #22 to the #51 for the enduros, anyone? :D

Turns out there'll be a new V8 Supercar category based in South Africa next year. And one of the cars is a Focus with a V8 engine in it.

Take that, BTCC!

For those of you that missed it, the Telegraph ran an article the other day on the fall from grace of Dick Johnson Racing.

As a Holden supporter, it's still painful to see the man and his team go through all this :|

If practice today is anything to go by, it looks like we're gonna be in for one of those weird weekends where Triple 8 decide to be shite and EREBUSWINSLOL might actually become a thing.

It probably won't though, because the Erebus Mercs are less reliable than a Lancia

Yeah, since the start of this season. And Datsuns as well. And from next season, Volvo. Which probably means there won't be any Fords or Holdens left on the grid in the next few years. :P

If you think the stewards in GP2 are bad, you should see the ones in V8 Supercars. Craig Lowndes punts off two cars, one of which loses 2 spots and the other of which loses 12 places (which is about 60 points). Consider that this at turn 3 on lap 1, in a 40 lap race with a convenient 15 minute break after lap 20. When do you investigate it? After the race, clearly. Usually this means instant 15 point penalty. This time, it meant a two-spot grid penalty for tomorrow.

WHO THE HELL THINKS THIS IS A DESERVING PUNISHMENT?!

/rant

(And this is my reaction to Lowndes. If Whincup had gotten away with it, I would've exploded with rage  )

I think it's safe to say that the remaining length of Tim Blanchard's career can now be measured in days unless he's bringing an obscene amount of money to DJR.

I can live with the MOSTERTWINSLOL in race 3, because it's DJR. But why the hell did Scotty's tyre have to blow while running 2nd? :(

At least JDub had two tyre failures in one race, which kinda makes up for it.

Which just leaves the second LDM car of Fiore left to be confirmed.

We were within two corners of witnessing the continuation of the DATSUNWINSLOL that has occurred so far this weekend... and then Caruso fires off the road and gets bogged at the second-to-last corner while on his way to a comfortable pole position.

Not only was there a Datsun 1-2 in the race, but James Moffat actually won the race! :o

What have they done with that car since the last race, because every time I've watched the series this year, the four Datsuns are either mired in the midfield or proping up the rear of the grid with Engal's Merc?

The two Norton Datsuns and Engal's crapbox Merc are running a slightly different fuel blend this weekend for a parity test before the enduros. Allegedly, the blend only improves fuel consumption, not speed. But whether anyone actually believes that or not is a whole different story

They'll have the chance to prove it wasn't, they'll all be back to E85 tomorrow. Although I reckon FPR could use the E70, I'm not too sure Frosty would have been happy being pushed down the pit lane by Davison

Now it also means more Aussies in V8 Supercars and the similar weight oval track type called NASCAR. Still stinks up the place worse than an exploded dunnie.
