Lazier broke his back earlier in the year in a very scary crash, which would have been 10 times worse had he not been in the old CART machinery. He won Indy with his back in so much pain that he could not really get out of the car without leaning on it.

Those were the old CART cars.

There is only one Flash in all of motorsport...

And this is a decent attempt at an intro by the BBC (for those who care yet have not seen it yet).

That is ab-so-lu-te-ly brilliant! What's more, with an intro like that I would be excited to watch that boringly dull race...

Not sure if this one was posted on this thread before (I ran a search and couldn't find it). I had completely forgotten about this reject moment from Nick Heidfeld in Interlagos 2002.

Is it just me or does this soundtrack sound awfully familiar with a certain BBC theme song...

This might have been posted too, but I just thought it deserved a place here: the first part of Roberto Moreno's Miracle!

It was posted here so many times, but it's still a treat to watch Pupo trying his best in the hapless S921 :D

Anyway - here are some nice things from me.
HWNSNBM hits the track at Monaco...
...and Monza!

Gees, remember 2004 pre-qualifying? Such an unnecessary mess.

Well, unnecessary beyond granting us the opportunity to worship at HWNSNBM's table.

I was amazed the jack stayed attached for so long, the only reason it even fell of is because the right wheel of the Jack got dislodged by a kerb, threw the whole car off balance and launched the Jack in to the fence, If you look closely you can see the right wheel of the jack continue to roll down the track. .

I did find that odd, I thought the team went bust after their F1 entry in the 90's...

no, they sold their stuff to Andrea Moda, and so they survived. How they managed to still exist until today remains a mystery, though...

More specifically, they sold their F1 equipment to Mr Sassetti, and not even their entry for the championship - which led to trouble when Andrea Moda arrived in South Africa to start the season.

So actually Coloni tricked Andrea Moda into all of this madness. If you look at it that way, it makes Coloni even more fascinating :D

Is it just me, or does Toby Moody remind anyone of Brian Kreisky (who narrated the official 1983 F1 season review)?

Not really, though Tim "Chinless Wonder who got his team-mate to cheat to help him to his only BTCC title" Harvey makes a slightly better sidekick than Brian's dumb wife.

Anyways, cringe-worthy or seriously good? I'll let you decide.

I was expecting it to be the former, but actually it was the latter! He nailed it, all though the F1 car might need work, and it is a lot better then Buemi's impression. :D.

I don't even know how he did it!

Wasn't Kreisky the guy behind the 'Havoc' series? I think he died in a plane crash.
