And when does the season start?
By purchasing more power for your engine, or by buying more performance points for your drivers. This can done at any time during the season with the credits you´ve left. Then, at the end of the season you´ll receive more credits on a fixed rate basis (200 per season) + on achievements. The season will start sometime next week
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Pre-season testing session #1 should happen sometime this weekend.
-------
I also want to consult something with you guys. It would affect more people who bought a cheap chassis but I think it will make things more equal and "realistic". I´m thinking about entering a BHP (Power) limit a chassis can reach. The reason for this is that if one person purchased the Life chassis and the Zakspeed engine, for example, it would still be faster than the rest of the cars in the grid. So, say the Life chassis may only reach a maximum of 500 Bhp, a medium-priced chassis may only reach 700 Bhp and higher priced chassis can go beyond 800... Each chassis will have it´s own power limit if it´s ok with you.

Well the Horizon is the second more reliable car in the field... the MRT is somewhere in the middle but closer to the "reliable" side. I did some quick calculations and the best number I saw was 4000 (Lower = better I believe) and the worst was 30000

cars tend to be quite unreliable from 7000 onwards, so you can expect high atrition races all along this opening season. The fact that I chose quite a high consistency rate means that we´ll see varied results as well. The more inconsistent teams can expect their drivers to be up to a 5% slower than their best pace!
Tomorrow I´ll publish the list of teams having to face pre-qualifying for the first half of the season. Pre-Qualifying will consist of two 15 mins qualifying sessions. The best 3 teams will pass it (by the combined times of the drivers). That means 11 teams will be allowed directly into qualifying proper, and another two drivers will have to sit down for the race.

Qualifying will also consist of two 15 minutes sessions (as this tend to be more unpredictable as well). The races will be Formula One standard, except for a couple of tracks (it depends how the track is programmed). Norisring will be 99 laps, while Bathurst will be 99 as well!!! (as it´s programmed that way!).

FAT TURBO RACING
TRUEBA RACING TEAM
SHOCK OF THE LIGHTNING MOTORSPORT
FLYING FISH MOTORSPORT
CALINETIC

Flying Fish Motorsport
2nd driver -- Yu Hiang-Hao
CR Motorsport
2nd driver -- Andrea Massini
American Racing Conglomerate
2nd driver -- Jesús Plaza

A few things:
The HRT livery is epic.
I'm sure I put Prospec, Calinetic and CR liveries up somewhere, I think on page 20-something or rather.
And it's good to see HRT demolishing MRT. Even though watka is too low for my liking...

I suppose the real reason why Damon did so well is that he has had experience with bad cars, like that 1998 Arrows he once drove, and could find where the car would and would not work. Goals are exactly like Damon's, especially since our only sponsor at the moment is a defunct British rock band!

A 10 Bhp boost gives an improvement of 0.24%
Just for your knowledge, a 100 Performance Points boost (which costs 50 credits) gives an improvement of 0.23%
On a personal note, I think MRT should be pretty safe as for the first part of the season it´s clear that DNQ is reserved for both CR cars. There´s plenty of races to score a couple of points (if only based on reliability) and avoid pre-qualifying for the last 8 races.

Since Sunshine has 50 points left, and although I am no team boss, I'd like to ask myself a qualify-race-consistency upgrade, taking up exactly the half of it. I think Shinobu would do the same, but we'll see what the team boss says on it.
