Marchesi's penalty is the verbal equivilant of a slap on the wrist. Besides, the Chief Steward got sick of people ramming up the backside of other drivers after about the 8th or 9th collision

Even so, we'd like to remind drivers that during testing, the last thing is racing cars getting unnecessarily damaged due to collisions with other cars as, frankly, they shouldn't be racing that hard on a test day to begin with.

Swerts will drive the 20 car at Adelaide. This is how it goes for the season:
Swerts: Tasmania, South Africa, Turkey, Monaco, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Indianapolis
Pascal: France, Great Britain, Germany, North Sea, Singapore, Japan, America
Does that work?

Works for me. As long as Swerts does less than 9 races and doesn't drive in Japan, I'm not too fussed about how you do it. There are virtually no clashes in this year's calender anyway.

Swerts does 8 races and Pascal drives in Japan, so it's confirmed.

Sadly for Scott, he got caught up in a couple of crashes so couldn't run as well as myself. To crack the top 10 is encouraging, but we know days like this will be rare.

2015 F2RWRS Tasman Grand Prix - Pre-Qualifying
The 15 minute session proved to be an intense once as Wouter Lamberigts lost his first hot lap when he came across Wojciech Cieslar, who was also on a hot lap, costing the Belgian a bucketload of time. Cieslar was then handed a repirmand a few minutes later when he held up Terry Hawkin whilst the Brit was on a hot lap with the Pole on a out-lap. It took a last-gasp effort from Hawkin to haul Jones into pre-qualifying ahead of Gillet by the slim margin of 2 hundreths of a second right after the checkered flag fell.

2015 F2RWRS Tasman Grand Prix - Qualifying
The first ever free-for-all qualifying session in the F2RWRS proved to be a great success for new commissioner Tom Douglas as the times continually tumbled and the order changed faster than a fruit machine. In the end it was Wouter Lamberigts and Alberto Cara who locked out the front row with the Belgian being the first driver to break the 1:20 barrier all weekend. Gigi Pazzini did a fantastic job in the second RonDen to be on the second row as the Lancias locked out four of the top six spots.
Miko Glotch and Enrico Molinaro were both given probations for holding up Terry Hawkin and Hansuke Shioya respectively, although it didn't make much of a difference to Shioya's day as he was down in a relatively lowly 16th place. But at least he wasn't doing as badly as Carter Simpson in the Young Lions car who blew both his hot laps at turn 9 to be last on the grid and with a lot of work to do on race day.

2015 F2RWRS Tasman Grand Prix - Race
Positives:
Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen - The flying Dutchman has gone from strength to strength since late last year and today he showed the world that he is a match for his more highly-rated teammate. The tap on Gianlugi Pazzini which forced the Italian in for a front wing change may have been questionable but the sublime driving either side of it wasn't. He picked up the baton magnificently when Andrej Kremnicky spun off just before the first stops and controlled the race from thereon in to take his first win in the series.
Simpson Motorsports - On a day where the Lancias probably had a slight advantage on the field, the new quasi-works BMW team had the distinct title of the best of the BMW-powered teams with Michael Cameron continuing his excellent pre-season form to finish second behind van Nieuwenhuijzen. Meanwhile, Dave Anderson in the other car managed to take advantage of his above-average grid position and a rare bout of good luck to score a career-best fourth place finish.
Josh Carlisle - Before today, the kid never scored a point in any of the Commission-approved feeder category but on a day where having a level head was paramount over all else, he took the Falik Arrows car to 6th on debut. Prince Falik however was fuming none the less when Yuka Katayama in the sister car was taken out of a very promising result early on by Terry Hawkin when the Jones driver ran out of road at turn 10 and tried to rejoin the track, which got the Brit a probation as a result.
Wouter Lamberigts - On past form, one would have expected him to fall down the order like a brick after the start, especially when teammate Pazzini simply drove around the outside of him at Wakefield Street on Lap 1. However, this was by far one of Lamberigts' best races in his career as he was holding on to 6th place until the Lancia powerplant developed a severe misfire on the final lap and dropped the Belgian from 6th all the way to 10th in one lap.
Daniel Melrose - Under normal circumstances, early March in Adelaide is pretty uncomfortable at best. Add a stomach bug and a throbbing headache due to dehydration and it's a nigh-on miracle that Melrose managed to commentate the entire race on his own without requiring a trip to the bog or the medical centre. Not that it made his team's performance that afternoon any better mind you.
Negatives:
Gianluigi Pazzini - The Italian got ahead of Lamberigts at the start and led the first 10 laps magnificently on debut in the second RonDen car. As soon as Kremnicky got past however, it all started to unravel for Gigi as he got a love tap from van Nieuwenhuijzen in the braking zone for the hairpin at ended up losing the front wing on the wall at the exit as he tried to gather it up. After that point, Pazzini made virtually no progress through the field as he finished a dismal 16th; scant reward for what could have been so much more.
Andrej Kremnicky - This really was a race that got away from the Slovakian when a rare error removed him from contention for the win and any major points that afternoon. Unlike Pazzini in the customer team however, Kremnicky drove like a bat out of hell to make up for lost time but spent far too long fighting for sheep stations just outside the top 10 with the likes of MRT, GRM Young Lions and Aeroracing before getting a lucky 8th place at the final corner. One wonders what he could have done had he not thrown it off the road and chances are, it would have been a dominating win for him.
GRM Young Lions - Carter Simpson's progress early on the race proved to be far slower than anticipated and once it became clear that Tommy Nash wasn't going to threaten the points scorers anytime soon, the team seemed resigned to their fate of midfield mediocrity.
Hydook - They took out ROTR at the first race of last season and they repeated the dose here today on the streets of Adelaide. Phil McCracken tried his hardest to make the hateful Hydook-Aston Martin combination work before he joined Aeroracing from the next race onwards while Enrico Molinaro was stuck at the rear of the field before a spectacular engine failure put a merciful early end to his afternoon.
