Round of Germany - Race 1

Prospec
A 1-2 for Prospec, on a day when Greenlaw's main rivals faltered. Cameron fought through the field early on, easily emerging in second, but by then Greenlaw had bolted.

Aeroracing
Double DNF, with Souto Maior's suspension failing part way through the race. Batistuta however had a humongous accident at the last corner. The Argentine turned in on Roberto Dinella, launching himself into the air, into a roll, and then the barriers. Despite this, he was fine and walked away by himself.

Jones
In the aforementioned accident, Dinella was unaffected, and that was really the only time he was seen all race. Swerts was noticeable, but for the wrong reasons. Any chance he had of fighting through the field was ruined on lap one when he drove straight into the back of Stephanie Brown's car, forcing both into the pits for new front and rear wings respectively. He spent the remainder of the afternoon tripping over Brown and Calvin Brooks, but at least he beat them.

West Cliff
Championship contender #1 had no luck today, being hit at various points by both Gulf cars and both Dofascos. He finished, with brakes that had destroyed themselves. On the plus side for the team, Port scored a point. Just.

Octan
A big pile of meh. Bainomugisha did sod all, while Vergne was slower and just as anonymous, apart from minor contact with Walsh at turn 4.

Porto Wine
See above, but switch Vergne with Soares, slower with faster, Walsh with Nurmester, turn 4 for the final corner, and minor with Soares spinning.

Kingfisher
Scott Davidson is already the unluckiest driver competing. After a brilliant qualifying performance, he gets in a collision with Olafur Ragnar Hannesson on lap 3, which drops him the order. As he catches back up the field, he gets hit by Brank Ristic, who had just spun. This knocked a wheel loose, forcing him into the pits. Then, on the final lap, Hannesson came by to lap him, so he punted him off the road, and will cop a fair few penalty points as a result. As for Brooks, he was the one who caused Ristic's spin.

ZombieKart
They hit each other at one point, but it wasn't serious. Apart from contact between Walsh and Vergne, that was the only noticeable time for them.

Parma Corse
Hannesson was on fire, even after his first collision with Davidson, but a good result went begging when Davidson got revenge. As for Lucarelli, he lost out on a point at the last possible moment, when Peter Port got a much better run out of the final corner and got past.

ZimSport
Melville's podium will keep Greenlaw within a reasonable distance in the championship, but he had no answer to the pace of the Prospecs. Zimmer was anonymous, failing at passing Harmsky near the end.

Fusion
Stefan Kuntz's best chance to get racing, so what does he do? Take out his teammate. His championship-contending teammate. Neither driver did anything after that, although Jantscher did at least make a few places, while Kuntz got hit by a Dofasco shortly after.

Gulf JCW
Both cars spent most of the day hitting everyone else at the final hairpin, although it wasn't always their fault. But it was an interesting battle, seeing one drop back and then other join them a lap later...

Best In The World
McAllister was quite impressive in taking 5th, nowhere near the Prospecs or Melville on pace, but fast enough to only lose 4th in the final stages. Verbeeck was less impressive, but much better than Horford would ever have been, finishing not far from the top 10 in a clean race.

Good Call
They haven't scored points for a while, but Franc Piscine was fast enough to fix that. Yorke wasn't as quick, not far inside the top 20, but he didn't cost the team any repair bills.

Linton-Solindahl
Reatherson was very quick by the team's standard, but a podium was realistically never going to happen. Still, fourth is an impressive result, especially considering Travesen's relative poor pace and eventual water leak, that netted him a few penalty points when he blocked a few cars and caused a traffic jam.

Dofasco
Pitea made a fool of himself more than once, while Maylander was just slow and eventually retired.

Red Bull
Hamilton was fairly quick, but as usual their most competitve car broke, this time the suspension on Taki's car.

Hydook
Jancker picked up a top 10 finish, the first of the year for the team, but points were not to be. Ristic, however, lost 2 laps in spins at the hairpin, not one of which was his fault.

JLD
Melrose starts on front row. Transmission fails before he makes a fool of himself. Brown qualifies poorly. Spends entire race making a fool of herself, semmingly unable to pass Swerts or the much slower Brooks.

Kamaha
Nurmester showed the exact reason why he was sacked by JLD - a brilliant qualifying before not-quite-literally crashing out of the top 10. Desai scored some points, though.

Shonan
Harmsky could have had a top 10, but he got blocked a bit by Port a few laps from home that cost him a spot to Jancker that he wouldn't get back. Sokolov couldn't quite make the top 20, but managed to stay out of trouble.

Nurminen
In their first attempt at a regular round, Larsen was actually quite decent, with a 19th place to start out the weekend, while Molinaro was on the receiving end of a few hits and only managed 24th, but still only 10 seconds from Larsen.

In a way, Nurmester is a caricature of my own virtual racing style. Quick on one lap, but rarely able to put in a consistent race, instead usually crashing out after a lapse in concentration. Although at least I can do well every now and then, unlike him who has so far been plain shite.

It's possible that McCracken isn't my only driver who is going to be put into retirement after this season. Kuntz has until the end of this year to prove if he's got anything - after that, he'll be retired for good. He ain't getting any younger either... Molinaro and Larsen are still young, while Nurmester was meant to be my main driver right from the start. Hämäläinen is still a mystery, while Võsu definitely needs another season in F1RDS although I won't be opposed to if someone wats to sign him for RWRS.

Joel Melrose took pole, but also took a big haul of penalty points for ensuring that Roberto Dinella didn't set a time. Melrose was on his out lap, and not happy with his position on the track, so he tried to go around the outside of Dinella, who was on a flyer. End result: contact, and Dinella in the fence after a roll. Melrose was allowed to start from pole, with a warning not to do anything stupid. Dan Greenlaw also got caught up, as he caught some debris from Dinella's car on his flyer which ensured a poor time.

Round of Germany - Race 2

Prospec
It was Greenlaw's turn to experience midfield madness, being spun by Zayas at the final hairpin on lap 1 and being hit by Dinella later on. Cameron's inability to pass Walsh and Lucarelli cost him a podium, with 5th his only reward.

Aeroracing
Well, they finished. On lap 8, they collided at the final hairpin when Batistuta didn't give Souto Maior enough room to make a pass. Batistuta spun, while Souto Maior still lost a few spots.

Jones
Swerts was a touch faster than Jantscher, the usual blocking tactics of Joel Melrose working both for and against him. Against, because he spent the first few laps behind him and Melville. For, because they took the pair of them out of contention. Ultimately though, Swerts was too far back to make a difference. Dinella did a decent job, apart from contact with Greenlaw.

West Cliff
I have a feeling Pippa will be on the phone to Mini, after two engine failures for her cars. Davies would have had an easy podium, and Port was doing his usual fight through the field.

Octan
Meh. Again. Without Lamberigts there is no entertainment here :lol:

Porto Wine
Mondlane retired early with a huge accident on lap 2 after launching off Peter Port's rear wheel and rolling several times. This was after forcing Soares into a spin the lap before. Soares would later go on to score a point - a late pit stop for a brake problem gave him a few laps on fresh tyres, and he managed to set the fastest lap of the race.

Kingfisher
That's more like it! While Brooks retired with a suspension failure and lost a front wing beforehand, Scott Davidson finally shook off some bad luck (probably in West Cliff's direction) and managed to finish 9th, just not quite able to catch and pass Kuntz for the final point.

ZombieKart
Ignore yesterday. Walsh did a simply brilliant job to get to the podium, passing Lucarelli with two to go. I still don't know what the pair were doing that high, even after the implosions of Melville and Melrose and Greenlaw and Davies. Zayas was less impressive, but managed a top 20 anyway.

Parma Corse
Hannesson's Lancia blew up while he on course for solid points, but on the plus side Lucarelli came two laps from a podium, but fourth is still a fantastic result considering his start to the year. Again, no idea how he got there in the first place.

ZimSport
Once Melville got wiped out by Melrose, any chance of a strong result vanished, winding up 50 seconds off the lead. Ryan Zimmer still managed to pick up a couple of points, mostly through staying out of trouble.

Fusion
And Jantscher takes another victory, with one man to thank - Joel Melrose. Or make that two, because if the Mad Uncle had sacked him by now, Swerts would have got Jantscher easy. As an added bonus, Kuntz brought the second car home in 8th, by not hitting anyone this time.

Gulf JCW
12th and 14th, the best effort for the team all year. Both had much better races than yesterday, neither getting in any collisions.

Best In The World
Nowhere near as good as yesterday. McAllister's race was ruined by Victoria Desai on lap 1, when the Kamaha turned in on him at the final corner. Verbeeck still ran well, in the top 10 until his right rear tyre went down two laps from home.

Good Call
Piscine's race went downhill when he was struck by an electrical problem that forced him into the pits. Yorke's was ended by a transmission problem. A race to forget.

Linton-Solindahl
Travesen got hit by Takuma Taki a few laps in that saw him require a new front wing, putting him out of contention. Reatherson made up for it though, picking up a few more points.

Dofasco
Maylander's race was very short, a transmission failure putting him out on lap 4, while Pitea had his usual race at the back of the field.

Red Bull
In the accident with Travesen, Taki had a bit of a roll, and yet again a promising Red Bull race ended. Hamilton made the top 15, but still never had the pace for any points, although he did get some penalty points for punting off Molinaro.

Hydook
After Jancker's brilliant race yesterday, it was a double DNF for Hydook, Jancker's suspension failing on lap 7 and Branko Ristic launching himself off of Melville's rear tyre on lap 9. Ristic had already been in the pits for a new rear wing after being hit by Sokolov on lap 1.

JLD
Melrose is in for a big haul of penalty points for the collision with Dinella in quali and Melville in the race. He only managed 21st, while Brown managed a top 10. For once.

Kamaha
Nurmester was let down by his gearbox on lap 2, ending his race early. Desai, after taking out Mcllister, had to fight back through the field, only getting to 11th.

Shonan
Both taken out in the same incident on lap 1 despite not hitting each other at any point. Sokolov was first, launching himself off of Ristic's car and rolling, costing Ristic a front wing. This slowed everyone behind them down, which caused Calvin Brooks to punt off Harmsky into the wall, giving Shonan a very big repair bill.

Nurminen
Molinaro could have had a top 10 if Hamilton hadn't gotten involved, but was relegated to 18th as a result. Larsen was quieter, only getting to 16th.

As specified earlier, Rick Simpson will run in the second car at Spa, while the 3rd car is available to any promising young drivers who don't yet have a seat for the Superprix.
