Someone from Benetton Formula wrote:We're very pleased with the performance today. Jones and Nicolo both gave their all today, we were able to lead a few laps and compete with the others.![]()
An absolutely irate Daniel Melrose wrote:What the bathplug was she thinking? I tried time and time again to get past her but she kept shoving me off the bathplugging road. I was literally screaming over the bathplugging radio to get someone to show some bloody blue flags to get her out of the bathplugging way. It's simply bathplugging ridiculous. We were having a decent race too.
Clio Racing Team press release:
Whilst we are a little disappointed Zetticci failed to get past main qualifying, Koczo did himself the world of good. A couple of early spins put him towards the back, without this he mightve been looking at a top-10 finish, and the engine still hasn't been properly tested, so it's no surprise to see it let go. But our first classified finish gives us a lot of confidence to improve. It's clear we are going to be at the back this year, so hopefully we can capitalize on a few attrition-hit races and pick a few points up.
Autosport Journalist wrote:So Daniel, you are justifiablely upset at Gawron for driving like a rock ape. However the second time you tried to overtake her, she was a car length or two in front, so why did you spin and why did you later spin before the pit entry and it looked to us that you were trying to spin the car back to face the right way but you just got out and walked back to the pits, was there any damage or did you just have enough of the day?
SuperAguri wrote:Any comments on my race summary? Do you want free practice results before prequalifying?

Daniel Melrose wrote:These cars get incredibly unstable when close behind another car and after a short while it feels like you're barely holding on and just managing to keep the car on track. As for the last spin, the engine just died on me and I couldn't get it restarted. The team are investigating what the problem was and hopefully they're rectify it by the next race at Phoenix.
David Zárate wrote:What the heck was Joanna Gawron thinking about? I've told our drivers they lacked a bit more pace, but still they were driving error free, and then goes Gawron and takes out Vytkin! That girl shouldn't even be in FFord, let alone here, and I hope they will suspend her for the remainder of the season.
Dan Unser Jr. wrote:Yeeehaaaa!!! That's how we Americans do it, yeah! I thought them Europeans knew how to drive, but I was certainly wrong all around, hahahaha! They guys spun like pigs in the dirt!
Richie White wrote:That was a decent first effort, though I'm slightly miffed that my slow pitstop cost me a podium. I'm not going to comment much on Joanna's performance, apart from the fact that she is out of her depth, and needs more testing mileage.
Florence Briggs wrote:I feel like I've embarassed everyone with my performance today. I didn't realise that it was going to be such a big step up from F3000. I made an arse of myself out there.![]()
EXTRAS wrote:A thoroughly frustrating race. Max's gearbox decided to give up the ghost early on, and judging by his pace, he could have easily brought home a haul of points. Ludovic endured a nightmare of a race, and the unceremonious position of last place. We will improve for the next race.
Stavros GP wrote:Stavros GP refuses to panic after their disastrous first race of the season. Stavros has already invested money in improving their drivers but Stavros has refused to continue to invest more.
Markel wrote:We like how things are going at the moment. The car can finish and we got decent points, but we need to be more ambitious and our drivers, whom had great races, need to improve nevertheless. More regimes, we need their waists lighter, so that they can then raise within their size and become able to get more money for me... ahem, for the European ERT, obviously. All I can say for now is that we are boosting our experience at running a racing team. And that if our drivers don't speak, is not because we forbid them which is not democratic and I believe in democracy, but because they have nothing to say.
Sarkozy wrote:I know I did not pre-qualify, but I don't care. One day you will see, I will be big!!! Now I've got to go, Merkel is calling and I don't want to make her wait...
SuperAguri wrote:tristan1117 wrote:Stavros' early performances have been mediocre at best, (no EU jokes, I promise) but improvement is surely on the way. Our drivers have been inconsistent, unfortunately, but have shown decent promise occasionally. Our engine needs an upgrade, so we will spend 20 points on long-term development and hope for our equipment to get better.
You would need to spend 15% of your original budget ($1300) for long term improvememnts or $195 you have just under 10% so I would suggest spending 2.5% of your budget ($32.5) on yuor drivers instead. and maybe the rest on your engine or chassis?Fmecha wrote:My car seems to be hopelessly slow. How I do improve my car?
Spend the $60 (10% of your original budget) credits you have either your engine or your chassis.
FIA Report wrote:Drivers Suspended.
In the last few minutes the FIA announced their report on the two big accidents that happened at the Brazilian Grand Prix. They listened to all the evidence from the drivers and race stewards, watched the replays and studied the telementry data. They concluded that both drivers that caused the accident were guilty of dangerous driving.
Joanna Gawron racing for JLD Motorsports, spun her car all through the race, failed to get out of the way of overtaking drivers and bumped into a lot of drivers. However her spin and attempt to get back on the track, where she stopped blocking half the track, caused Dimitry Vitkin from Team Phoenix to smash into her car where he sustained damage that caused him to retire. Joanna Gawron was lucky and suffered minor damage and completed the race.
Carlitos Mils racing for Aurora Motorsports, had a good race and was battling with Theodore Roos of the Fighting Mongoose team, Roos pitted first on Lap 41 and on Lap 44, Mils pitted and in his haste to try and get out in fron of Roos, he came out of the pits and just cut straight across the path of Roos, Roos tried to move to the right to avoid Mils but hit his tyres went very high in the air and landed breaking his suspension and losing both left hand wheels. Mils suffered no damage but retired later in the race with suspension damage.
Joanna Gawron will recieve a 4 race suspension staring from the next race, however after two race suspensions, the suspension will be suspended. JLD Motorsports will also be fined $20,000
Carlitos Mils will recieve a 2 race suspension starting from the next race, however after the one race suspension the suspension will be suspended. Aurora motsports will also be fined $10,000
Teams can appeal against the sentence, although a failed appeal can lead to an extra sentence.
Teams will be able to use a substitute driver but they will not be able to enter free practice.
SuperAguri wrote:Also any points scored by a driver on loan will not count for the teams championship to make it fairer. So if Douglas Mann wins a race then he gets 10 points but the winning team does and the points will not be awarded, so if Pieter Kickert comes 2nd then he gets 6 points and European still get 6 points.

Clio Racing Team press release:
We are very disappointed at the pre-qualifying rules. Koczo set the third quickest time, yet doesn't qualify for Friday. We feel a rule change needs to be brought in soon, as drivers who have no business being in the main draw go through. We wish Koczo all the best with JLD, and hope to have him back for the next race.
