The solution is simple. Fit marble dispensers to the rear of the cars. One batch down on the track, boom, driver behind ends up in the wall. Or flamethrowers to turn opponents to toast. Or an electromagnet that disables nearby cars. Or an invisibility cloak so you can sneak down the iniside without anyone noticing. Or a turbocharged watermelon that....never mind, you get the idea.

I did too, because I read pretty much the same thing on ESPN!

I didn't think Kansas was that terrible, but then again, Texas was boring as hell, so there was no way it could get any worse unless you went to Pocono...

OK, I was just seeing a video recap of the Aaron's 499 at Talladega and one of the cars was the #51 ME driven by Kurt Busch, exactly the one Ricky Bobby was driving in his comeback at "Talladega Nights". What was the reason for that livery? Was it some kind of hommage?

If I heard correctly, the commentators said that it might be a way to try to get sponsorship. Not sure though.

All-Star race is on right now. Mandatory caution before final 10 laps, and an idea hit me. If it were to be a true all-star event for NASCAR, they should invite the Nationwide and the Truck race winners and let them race AT THE SAME TIME as the sprint cuppers. Multiclass racing in NASCAR, that would make for a great race.

If I remember correctly NR2003 can only have 42 ai cars.

Um....ASA is dead and has been for a while, and Pro Cup is pretty much struggling to get fields of Ten Cars. Other thent hat Your Idea is fine.

And guess what, Nelson Piquet Jr has won the NASCAR Nationwide race at Road America. Very impressive race for him.

He's won it! Great drive from Piquet Jr! JV takes out Danica on the last lap.

VilleNOOB takes out Danica for fourth on the final lap. Nelson Piquet basically had Hendrick engines/equipment, so it's no real surprise he won.

Danica's crew chief blasts Villeneuve. Well, seems like the NASCAR drivers are figuring out that JV is crap. We've known that since 2006.

I never saw this one coming. I can't believe they can't find a sponsor for that car/driver combo, times must be tough in NASCAR if even HE can't get sponsorship for a full season. Contrary to what the article sense, I think JGR should go to the effort of dropping Kryle Busch and bringing him in instead.

Unfortunately that is the case. NASCAR has had tough times lately. Talented drivers who can't get rides while others land them because of sponsorship. But hey, Kenseth is rumored to join either Gibbs or Penske.

I know it is a pipe dream, but I'm trying to think of a logical place for Kenseth to go for next year. Maybe the next car for Tony Stewart's team?

Andretti is considering forming NASCAR team: One of IndyCar's biggest names could branch out to the Sprint Cup Series as Michael Andretti told SI.com that he is hoping to start a NASCAR team. "We were looking at NASCAR real close last year, too, but it fell apart," Andretti said. "We were looking at it just as hard last year as this year and the year before." If Andretti is able to find the right sponsorship, he could team up with Dodge and base his team out of the old Evernham Motorsports shop at the Statesville Regional Airport in Statesville, N.C. A Dodge source told SI.com that Andretti could probably team up with the engine manufacturer for $5 million to $6 million. That's because Dodge is losing its primary team in Sprint Cup at the end of this season as Penske Racing switches to Ford. Because of that, it is looking for a flagship team and Andretti could be a good fit, especially if it were to team up with Richard Petty Motorsports -- currently a Ford team paired with Roush Fenway Racing, but has a long history with Dodge. "I'm always looking at all options," Andretti said. "I'd be stupid not to listen to Dodge or any other manufacturers. It doesn't matter that we are a Chevy IndyCar team. North Carolina.

Sources have confirmed to PitPass.net that Michael Andretti has purchased the engine program from Penske Racing and will field at least one full time Dodge in the Cup series in 2013 and beyond. No word on who the driver is, but with Matt Kenseth leaving Roush at the end of the season, the 2003 Cup series champ did confirm to the Journal Sentinel on Wednesday that he will drive for "a new cup team" in 2013 and beyond. One option on the table is for Andretti to base his team out of the old Evernham Motorsports shop at the Statesville Regional Airport in Statesville, N.C. Also hearing from this unnamed source that this new deal with Dodge is also with Richard Petty Motorsports -- currently a Ford team paired with Roush Fenway Racing, but has a long history with Dodge. (this is why we didn't get the announcement of Petty to Dodge in Michigan a few weeks ago, they were trying to get Kenseth). Hearing that an offical announcement could come as early as next weekend.

what will he do with his GoDaddy deal? Stewart's got a hold on the NASCAR part of that sponsor.
Penske carried over his Shell sponsor from indycar and also his AutoClub sponsor.
Every other sponsor Andretti has a hold of in IndyCar is ok because there's no Sun Drop car or RC Cola or Venom Energy car.
ALSO!!!!!! IS THIS FIAT'S CHANCE TO DIP THEIR FINGERS BACK INTO INDYCAR RACING?(they do own a hefty chunk of chrysler btw)
