With Davies buggering off at the end of the year and Robertson being absolutely demolished by Marchesi, Hamilton is now guaranteed a F2RWRS seat next year (Hell, if Melrose/Davies relations go any lower, he might even get a few F1RWRS drives near the end of this season). Joel Melrose will probably shift over to the RoLFS team with James Douglas taking his seat in the F3RWRS, with Piscine being the second driver for either the F3RWRS or RoLFS team.

Long story short: MRT have the SECOND worst driver management in history.

Fixed. ;)

You have a point, they've had at least four drivers make an appearance in every year of their existence apart from 2011!

A shame the test wasn't in dry conditions, I wanted to see how van der Mayeyde compares to Watkinson and Neuberg. Am I right in thinking that Ashley Lilly and van der Mayeyde need only one public and one private test now to get a superlicense?

I believe that is correct. Although if van der Maeyede gets a decent teammate in the F2RWRS, he might stand half a chance of doing it even sooner, especially considering how random it's been this year.

Aerond : I do have to question the values given to the drivers, I know Anita Horford and Bob Sampson do have to impress to keep their seats in the F3RWRS team as both have been on the slow side and have scored no points, but the two fastest qualifying laps (and 2 seconds faster then their team mate who has been scoring points and is very fast in F3RWRS) and Bob Sampson ending up 2nd overall? Really? I am sure if i did sign him up next year he would be hovering around the DNQ places on a regular basis... Plus he was slow in the last test at Rockingham...

Have in count that the rule regarding jr driver values has not been applied yet. Appart from that, also have in count that the random grip numbers are higher in rainy conditions, which makes results far more unpredictable

Hmmm, intriguing and totally not in keeping with a storyline I was planning for later in the season, but let's run with it for now...

Pippa Mann wrote:Statement to the Press

I believe that there has been an article written about me and Mark Dagnall recently and I would like the chance to respond. I got to know Mark a little bit last year as he was Ben Fleet's teammate at DGN for much of last season. We get on well together, and so when we were leaving a restaurant together yesterday, we were doing so as friends and collegues within the same race series - nothing more and nothing less. In fact, that was more of a team boss meeting, me in the role of boss of Foxdale, and Mark representing his father as boss of DGNgineering, informally discussing rule changes for next year.

Ben Fleet and I are very happy together and our relationship is as strong as ever. I am secure in that relationship and nothing can drive us apart, not even me arriving at a film premiere with Mark - where Ben Fleet was waiting for me at the kerbside for me!

In the continuing story of which team will replace DGNgineering for 2016, it is rumoured that two of the frontrunners for the position, Equipe Gauthier, and The Fighting Mongooses, are encoutering difficulty in establishing their bids.

Equipe Gauthier, run by mercurial former Formula 1 driver Guillaume Gauthier, has reportedly already secured sponsorship for his bid, though it is suggested that the effort is struggling to find the necessary mechanical and engineering expertise to solidify their bid. The Frenchman has repeatedly stated that his F1RWRS effort will be built from the ground up, and that he will not siphon resources from his other outfits.

Meanwhile, The Fighting Mongooses have been reportedly having the opposite problem; run by reknowned engineer Jimmy McJimmerson, the team has had no difficulty in acquiring staff to support their bid, though sponsorship money is significantly harder to come by.

The rumours also suggest that Gauthier and McJimmerson may be meeting as soon as the German GP to discuss a possible merger of efforts; certainly together, they would be able to sweep all opposition for the entry spot aside.

Two lessons in tabloids:
1. Always give away an obvious factual error as to not anger the owners of the drivers.
2. Try not to misspell the subjects' name.

Apart from it saying F1 instead of F1RWRS, then maybe... But who is the father? And will anybody then take Pippa Mann's hand in marriage? If so, when? How? And if the pregnancy is announced before the end of the season, will she be allowed to continue racing until the season's end? So many questions! So few answers!

It's strange how Molinaro was far far far slower than Lucarelli, Pazzini and Crescenzi in F3RWRS, yet his career is suddenly starting to amount to something while the other three have been/about to have their careers ended for them.

RACE

There have been rumours and petitions from some team bosses to move the German date of the calendar to a more classic track like Hockenheim or Nurburgring, but after watching the race at Norisring one must ask... why? Norisring always provide one of the craziest and most exciting races of the calendar. 2015 was no exception, with Pippa Mann emerging as a serious title contender if things go her way. The Aeroracing has improved in the reliability side over the last few races and the effort has already paid off, even if The Stig continues his effort to earn the title for being the best driver at mounting massive repair bills for his team. This time he was not alone, Ron Mignolet joined in the 2nd start (after a massive pile-up at the first) to send out of the race David Neuberg, Phillippe Nicolas, Mark Dagnall, making Chris Dagnall not too happy about the 3rd double retirement in a row for his drivers. But, once again, Dagnall would be lucky enough to escape relatively unharmed in terms of championship standings, as Rhys Davies, who's commonly seen as his major opponent to take the title this year, failed once again. This time when he was comfortably leading the race, and lost the amazing ammount of 4 laps before being able to rejoin the track, ending any possible chance of a decent result, losing another golden opportunity to close on the championship. This opportunity was taken, however, by Pippa Mann, who just waited behind Rhys Davies to take the lead (Pippa would have won anyway, being on a better strategy than Davies), and also by Rosco Vantini. The Italian driver is not kicking ass in terms of overtaking but he seems to be always there, and that meant another podium and the 2nd position in the championship for now. Outstanding having in count that he still is in his debut season. Sammy Jones, on his hand, did an even better race: He lost one lap at the very beggining after being hit by Mignolet at turn 1, and then by Watkinson, but he drove steadily and overtaking non-stop to reach a final 7th, too short for points but the brit managed to turn heads during the race. Another one turning heads, but for the wrong reason, was Ashley Watkinson; not only he hit Sammy Jones and Jari Kekkonen later, but he also went off track and never looked very fast, a real reject performance, enough to earn ROTR. In some way, it reminded us of the good old classic performance by Zimmer last year at this same venue. The podium was completed by Barii Mori, who seems to improve at street tracks and made quite a decent performance. Shinobu Katayama came back on form for a short stint in the Arrowtech before she takes the seat at Revolution, Fredo Mestolio produced an amazing drive to score for Prospec (and for once he was lucky enough to finish the race), and Ben Fleet showed he's in good shape after scoring the last point in the Foxdale. Also, good showing from the debutant Danny van Rijkens, who was very fast and looking into a solid Top 10 result before his Tropico left him at the side.

All in all, a more than decent race which will make the wait for the Belgian GP a little bit long!!!

DOTR -- Fredo Mestolio // Sammy Jones

Oh yes, and have in count that, until Monza, all of the races are held in fast tracks, but wait until a circuit where power is not so important and we might have a surprise.
