I took the liberty of making a wikipedia-style page for the series' inaugural season. It needs more character, such as a written review, but I might get to that during the holidays.

CHRIS DAGNALL PROTEGÉ SET FOR DEBUT?

Latest rumours in the F1RWRS paddock say that Nathan Scott, the 2012 F25000 champion and currently leading the way in Formula Nippon, could make an early jump to F1RWRS debuting as a second driver at the new Garry Rogers Motorsport, alongside fed-up-with-former-bosses driver Frank Zimmer. "It would be an amazing opportunity for me". "The F.Nippon calendar makes it a bit tight, but the championship here is almost secure and I´m sure my sponsors would be quite pleased to move up the ladder as well". Other rumoured drivers are former F1 driver Jack Christopherson and current Phoenix driver Jari Kekkonen.

I may as well add to the rumours, seeing as SOTL don't seem to be capable of getting out of pre-qualifying any time soon (  ) and I'm bored, with my female driver from the LSF (Lost Souls Forever) Cup and the Hispania Racing Challenge.

Autosport wrote:ANOTHER FEMALE RACER SET TO TAKE VACANT GARRY ROGERS SEAT?
In another addition to the rumour mill surrounding the vacant seat at new F1RWRS team Garry Rogers Motorsport, the girlfriend and acomplished racer of Damon Cannon, the lead driver at perennial no-hopers Shock Of The Lightning Motorsport, Poppy Whitechapel, has been linked to the seat, alongside Frank Zimmer, the Australian driver often described as 'cocksure' by several other drivers in the paddock. Miss Whitechapel, 20, would be making the jump up from GP2 should GR Motorsport take her on.
"I was hoping to take an seat in F1 next season, but the arrogance of that Lewis Hamilton chap, who thinks it's perfectly alright to ram people off the road that are ahead of him, and that dull Kraut Sebastian Vettel with his silly finger celebration have really put me off F1. I hope to show my talents in a better car than the wreck I'm driving in GP2 at the moment, and help the team move forward". Whitechapel thus joins Jack Christopherson, Jari Kekkonen and Nathan Scott in contention for the seat.

Note: Sorry, I couldn't resist with linking that song to the LFS Cup. It's my second favourite song by Kasabian, after 'Underdog'.

As my other drivers would be more interested in driving DDR-cars, you can take Ron Mignolet, he's probably the best one of the 3 too!

KEKKONNEN OUT, MIGNOLET IN

The FRWRS branch of Team Phoenix has made the shock announcement today that Finnish driver Jari Kekkonnen has been replaced in the team by ex-F1 driver, Belgian Ron Mignolet.

"Mignolet brings a healthy amount of credits to our team, which will come in handy to develop our car, certainly", Phoenix McAllister, driver and head of Team Phoenix, stated. "But, Ron has been in F1, I raced against him some years back in fact, and he's quite good too", finished.

"The split with Kekkonnen has been done in amicable terms. He understands our plight, and has willingly stepped down. I am very grateful with him and I wish him well for the future".

Mignolet comes with some funds from the Belle Vue brewery, as well as Sprimoglass and Bastos. These logos will be seen on the overalls of both the drivers and the crew of the team.

It is rumoured that Kekkonnen may take the role of reserve driver at Jones Racing.

RACE

At the start Douglas Mann was impressive and took the lead, but behind Shizuka there was a big shunt and the race had to be red flagged (if there´s more than 8 cars out at the end of the first lap I restart). At the 2nd start Katayama took the lead over Ben Fleet and Thomas de Bock. Nathan Scott had to pit for a new wing.

Image

Fleet took the advantage of the higher top speed of the Foxdale and passed Katayama for the lead. Then a huge turnover came at lap 5. Scott car fails at the first corner while being lapped, he pulls the car to the inside of the hairpin and Shizuka can´t avoid contact, which launches Scott´s car against Douglas Mann, and the Foxdale is out while Shizuka continues with no damage. On lap 6 Chris Dagnall passes Sammy Jones.

Image

The race stays very quiet until Lap 27, when McAllister holds Katayama and the Japanese loses 2.5 secs against Fleet. On lap 30, Shizuka and Moll pit.

Image

Fleet pits one lap later and Shizuka pass Watkinson not to get stuck in the middle of the pack. A lap later total disaster struck Foxdale; Fleet retires as he and Nicolas Steele collide while Fleet was trying to lap the Kamaha! Steele brakes late, Fleet sees the opportunity and Steele close the door and the Foxdale young gun is out! It´s still time for the rest of the top drivers going for two stops to pit including Jones, Zimmer and Katayama, giving the lead to Thomas de Bock, who´s going for one stop only, but, Katayama doesn´t fight for too long with De Bock as his Sunshine stops in lap 44. Chris Dagnall pits in 2nd place and it isn´t long before Kay Lon and De Bock pit as well, with de Bock retaining the lead:

Image

On lap 51, Mark Dagnall and Watkinson clash while fighting for position and both are out of the race! Next man out is Sammy Jones on lap 61. And, just in the middle of the 2nd round of stops, Shizuka´s car stops as well and Sunshine disastrous first half of the season comes to a top. Chris Dagnall retires as well, when he was 3rd.

Image

Last 30 laps are pretty quiet, with only Kay Lon retiring at the top 10, and the fight for 3rd between Moll and Rhys Davies, which resolves for the Gillet driver and an incredible 2nd place for Frank Zimmer in the GRM which will allow the newcomers to escape Pre-qualifying!

It's only its reliability that makes it a "shitbox." Could have won with the consistancy of Vettel (early 2011), Mansell (early 1992) or Button (early 2009) if it weren't for unreliability... So long as Foxdale finishes the race, a podium is a 99% certainty...

Following Arrowtech's "anonymous" race, as quoted by Daniel Martins, The Fox has already gone ahead to say that the ArrowTech AT-03 is a piece of turd. "We're already looking to build next year's car. Hopefully the currently unnamed car will be far faster than the current one. From what I see, we're firing our designer and replacing him soon enough. We'll announce the new designer of the new car after this race." Some workers, and many fans, are quite puzzled at The Fox's comments, because this season, for ArrowTech, has been the best they've ever had. With the media now saying that the back of the grid isn't far away, the fans have become disgruntled on the preformance of ArrowTech recently. Neither Martins or Melrose were available to comment on the new ArrowTech car for next season.

Mori hit back at Jones after he said that "we'll be looking for someone who hasn't been tainted by either Kamaha or Team Phoenix management practices!" by pointing out that Jones took no time snapping up the sacked Kay Lon, "Jones is a bit of an idiot with a mouth that opens before his brain gets into gear. After this race, I am sure we will see him in court as we sue our ex driver. As for the qualifying, 18th and 23rd is not where we want to be but I think with some bad luck on the part of the others we could get some points.

Foxdale Auto Racing Team Press Release

Foxdale are honoured to have a driver like Kekkonen linked to the team via rumour. However, since Pippa Mann stepped down to allow Ben Fleet in as a pay driver to improve the team's reliability, the team has had no need of a third driver, as this is a role that Pippa is fulfilling. We thank Kekkonen for the offer and wish him all the best.

Hmm. If I'm correct, Spencer was just 6 hundredths inside 107%. Interesting, huh?.
