Oh Ron Mignolet back in Pre-qualifying? Not this again! He's got quite a history with DNPQing because his teammate isn't fast enough

A tribute to the heroic failures of Grand Prix racing

Our national team confirmed its driver line-up for the 2016 season. This development will see a Tropican race driver make his long-awaited F1RWRS debut. Our Alberto Cara will pair up with South African Danny van Rijkens, who put in the best lap in F1RWRS history to qualify fourth for today's race.
The team will also field the strongest F1RWRS reserve driver line-up in recent times: American racer Tristan Jung will support the team in developing the TGP-003 with his impressive technical knowledge and help the active drivers with his significant experience. Fourth driver Samora Mondlane is considered a gifted driver and will do F3RWRS racing whilst serving as replacement should Jung be unavailable.
A bit about the randomness goodness that discarded seeds were; I had one Kamaha 1-2, one Arrowtech 1-2 (!) and a Pole by Van Rijkens among other epic results![]()

Now is the time to promote Wouter out of F2RWRS

Ron is getting a bit old, so that might make sense. If anybody got a hopelessly unreliable, but fast, car, Lamberigts is your man! But replacing Mignolet might be a good idea for DGN, i'm sure some other midfield-teams could be of help with Mignolet's money.
Aerond wrote:I don't think Dgn will fail to PreQ at a fast track like Red Bull Ring... Anyway, surprised to see Alitalia outqualified way more powerful cars like Prospec at a track like Spa.

If you for whatever reason decide to perform such activities again; please involve your own characters only and don't try to mess anyone else up to avoid an even heavier penalty. Let other users decide if they get their own characters involved or not.

I was not there during the infamous podiums at last two races, but is that a form of inapporipate RPing, or is that godmodding/metagaming?(Yes, I am using NationStates roleplaying terminologies)
NSwiki, on Godmoding wrote:Godmoding is generally an outright violation of most Roleplaying rules, or at least customs. The general idea behind godmoding, as its name makes evident, is making yourself or your nation godlike in power and unable to die. This is a common problem among people with large egos and small imaginations. While eliminating possible frustration for the player, this can be abused to the point at which RPing is no longer enjoyable.
Wikipedia, on Metagaming wrote:Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.
In simple terms, it is the use of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions.

Sammy Jones has expressed his anger at a recent announcement from the F1RWRS Commission on the eve of the Belgian GP. The Commission have initiated a clampdown on boisterous post-race behaviour such as the scenes witnessed following the German Grand Prix two weeks ago where Jones, Phoenix McAllister and Mark Dagnall were all arrested for public disorder and grievous bodily harm offences. Serious punishments will now be handed out to offending drivers and team principals involved in such behaviour, something that Jones is furious about.
"Way to take the fun out of the sport guys" said Jones, applauding sarcastically in the direction of the race directors' office. "a bit of harmless banter and a few clips round the ear never hurt anyone, and things have been fine up until now so I don't see why things should change. The F1RWRS won't be the same without the post-race scuffles, it's well known that's when the race programmes get their highest TV ratings."

La Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote:Lindsay: Jones is degrading our sport
The Lindsay-Jones saga contines again, after Jones released a furious statement against the F1RWRS Commission's orders to calm down during post-race proceedings. The Englishman complained that post-race fights were a part of F1RWRS and didn't do any harm.
"This is why we need this thug out of F1RWRS," said Lindsay. "I am not one to back down from a fight, I'll give you that. I have been in trouble in the past elsewhere. But now, in the F1RWRS paddock, there are certain standards we have to adhere to. But it seems Jones would rather turn F1RWRS into a pay-per-view reality fighting sport."
"This guy is a joke, he's degrading our sport with nonsense about how beating each other up makes the sport better because of the ratings. Is it true? Maybe, I don't know. But people are tuning in because they like watching people make fools of themselves. He is making everyone in F1RWRS look like brainless morons because of his violence and idiocy."
"Why this guy still hasn't be banned outright from F1RWRS I have no idea. They showed no mercy with myself just because I said a couple of things, but when Jones wants to actively condone violence in our sport and goes around making a fool out of every one of us in the racing business, they sit back and do nothing. I'm not happy at how people are not being treated the same."

Pippa in a pickle as affair made public
Britain's Mark Dagnall, the double F1RWRS world champion, has blurted out details of a previously SECRET affair he's been having with 2012 champion Pippa Mann! In a post race press conference following the Belgian GP from which he retired, Mark was asked by an S.H.I.T reporter what FILTHY antics he got up to in the bedroom. In response, the Briton SENSATIONALLY said to ask Pippa instead!
With the damage already done, a further question later on brought an ANNOYED response from Dagnall, who said "I've already revealed too much about all that [his sex life]".
With the cat out of the bag, it's turned Pippa Mann's NIGHTMARE week into an even worse one, with long-time partner Ben Fleet said to be 'disappointed' by the news, he gave this WEAK and FEEBLE response to reporters,
"Well, erm...that's a bit of a bummer isn't it? I'll see what Pippa says about the whole thing and go from there. She'll know what to do, I don't like to be put on the spot and make decisions for myself, I much prefer it when she's in charge. I just go along with what she wants to do most of the time, I'm happy with that."
In other, less important news, Dagnall announced he'd signed for MRT for 2016.
RHYS DITCHES MELROSE AT THE ALTAR!
Talented Australian to drive for Jones in 2016
With Mark Dagnall SNARED by MRT for 2016, Rhys Davies has agreed to a two year contract to drive for Sammy Jones' Castrol Jones Racing team from next year, which following DGN's departure will be the BEST British team on the F1RWRS grid. Both Davies and Jones were DELIGHTED with the deal, which will see Sammy RETIRE from the cockpit after 17 consecutive seasons in top flight motorsport. He will continue to operate his team on a full time basis however.
"I'm delighted to announce Rhys Davies as a Castrol Jones Racing driver from 2016" said a clearly happy Jones, "he's proved himself more than capable in a front-running car this year, with excellent pace. It's just such a shame that MRT have been so poor with their car and tactics. If they could make half as many mistakes as they do, Rhys would have run away with the title this season. Instead, from next year he can enjoy a top drawer championship challenge from a team that can manage its drivers properly, and produce machinery that can deliver excellent results. We have consistently been at the top end of the field for the best part of four consecutive seasons now, and that demonstrates Castrol Jones Racing's professionalism and dedication to achieving the best results possible. I fully expect both Rhys and Rosco to perform at the highest level in 2016."

Stigy won, Pippa led but then retired. Post race, the Stig was allowed onto the podium with his helmet on, there wasn't a fight, Mark Dagnall announced he was moving to MRT in a bizarre choice. Then, Mark let slip he'd been having an affair with Pippa....
Now the Stig has won, I think you should unmask him! The best odds at the moment are 3/1 for Dan BH

And Ben Fleet ought to have won in that self-denotating Foxdale of 2013. Has the record for most poles in a season. But no wins. Yet.
