Don't forget Lake Speed, Mark Winterbottom, and Giovanni Lavaggi (check his profile if you aren't sure why he's here).

Romain Grosjean (Roman Fat john) probably deserves a contribution too. Not exactly going to be the shortest book in F1, is it?

You guys forgot the ultimate, most funniest driver's name ever:
Dick Seaman
winner of the 1938 German Grand Prix

Further to the funny names above...

I've just been watching highlights of the 1984 Dallas Grand Prix, and heard Murray Walker mention the name of the first retirement, because I thought he must have mispronounced his surname, or else I misheard. It was Francois Hesnault... Which I heard as Francois Anal...

I believe the correct pronunciation is along the lines of 'Ayno', or possibly 'Aysno'

As I said, it was just how i mis-heard it, even if that is not how it actually was pronounced... Thanks for the clarification though.

I'll take the ribbing on Hockenheimring - that was a fat finger on my part - point taken, post corrected. But, Hermann Tilke has two "n" in his name and that was not incorrect on my part. - See: http://www.tilke-ac.de/management1.php.
