No, I didn't forget my own series. I just wanted to give a quick update:

You can still upgrade your drivers until tonight, 12pm middle european time. Tomorrow I'm gonna post the qualifyings, and the Indy 500 will be posted on Tuesday. Afterwards I try to speed up the races, to get the championship done in time.

Well, if he can't have more than 10 then have Ralf have everything on 10 then.

And I think I should be able to afford to Kenan Ardaoglu one point for each ability, right? If so I will do that.

ABC Sports wrote:Vidal Reyna-Sanchez wins the Indy 500 pole!

Vidal Reyna-Sanchez has won the Indy 500 pole position for his McDoggle Racing Team. He set the fastest time on pole day, with a brilliant 39.778s, being almost half a second faster than 2nd placed Ralf Schumacher. However, Pole Day also brought some controversy, as some cars lapped up to 10 seconds slower than the pole time. Yet, these cars are allowed to race in the Indy 500, thanks to their standing in drivers' championship. ABC Sports expert Jimmy Jaeger had this to say: "All I can say to that is bullsh*t!" Whatever, Bump Day promises to become an exciting affair, as there are only 13 spots left in the grid. Among them are some favorites, like part-time racer John Zimmer, who was unlucky in his prior races. The team of ICS president Walther Williams isn't considered as a favorite, but as Williams has said: "We just want to qualify on the grid. Anything else is just a bonus."

Results of the Indianapolis 500 Pole Day
1 Vidal Reyna-Sanchez 39.778
2 Ralf Schumacher 40.248
3 Martin van der Maeyede 40.259
4 Dave Anderson 40.362
5 Pastor Maldonado 40.518

18 Kenan Ardaoglu 46.106
19 Vincenzo Sospiri 48.009

ABC Sports wrote:Bump Day brings few surprises - Williams-AMR debut ends in failure

The Bump Day session brought few surprises. While the drivers fought hard to get one of the 13 spots left on the grid, the results were more or less expected. For example the results by Williams-AMR. O.N. Duck III. as well as John Bean were hopelessly off the pace, although interestingly, they didn't set the slowest time of the qualifying session. A minor surprise was the non-qualification of Claude Speed, and we don't know yet, why he didn't have any "speed" during the session. Worth mentioning is that while John Zimmer qualified on 33rd position, he had a comfortable gap of 1.6 seconds over Bertrand Gachot.

ABC Sports presents...the 99th Indianapolis 500

Paul Page: "Hello everyone, I'm Paul Page, bringing you the 99th edition of the Indianapolis 500. Now before we conduct our pre-race show, let me introduce my co-commentator, ABC Sports and ESPN expert, Jimmy Jaeger."
Jimmy Jaeger: "Thank you, Paul. And of course it's a pleasure to be here."
Page: "Well, the Indianapolis 500 has seen quite a lot of things in it's more than centennial history, and that's probably an understatement. Once again, 33 drivers have qualified for this race, although there has been some controversy about qualifying. And Jimmy, before you voice your opinion, let me remind you that we're on live tv, so no edits are possible."
Jaeger: *grins* "I'm trying to keep a civilized tone. But yes, the qualifying procedure was just wrong in my opinion. I get the intention that is behind giving the first 20 drivers in the championship a guaranteed place in the starting grid. It should rewards those, who score enough points. But we've seen so much attrition in this season that caused some slower drivers to land a place in the top 20, while some faster drivers couldn't get past the 21st position on the grid. So it's pretty unfair in my opinion. Instead, the management should have done an open session, where the fastest 33 cars qualify on the grid. It would have been fair, but also unpredictable, because we might have seen some struggling favorites."
Page: "Then we might have the right interview partner, here's Jack Arute."

Jack Arute: "Thank you Paul, I'm here with the ICS president, Walther Williams. And Mr. Williams, you're also here as a team owner."
Walther Williams: "But not as a successful one, I must admit. Although we set some decent times on the track, and when we develop our package any further, we could be on the right track."
Arute: "But your team might have also been a victim of the qualified regulation, which you devised."
Williams: "That's right, but I stand firm in my opinion that those who made enough points deserve some reward. Of course it's unlucky that some drivers couldn't qualify for Indy, despite setting fast times. But I'm also open to doing changes to my regs. But we should discuss such matters in an appropriate time."
Arute: "Thank you Mr. Williams, and enjoy the race. And now back to you, Paul!"

Page: "Thank you, Jack. Now let's analyse today's starting grid, and we'll go from the last to the front row. So Jimmy, here comes row 11."

Row #11: Johannes Seidlitz---Goran Jordanovic---John Zimmer

Jaeger: "Seidlitz has been disappointing throughout the season, although Volks.Racing doesn't have equal machinery for all of its drivers. But when I think about it, this makes it even more disappointing, because Seidlitz has a Honda engine in his back. But to be fair, he set a decent time in qualifying. Jordanovic and Zimmer have been a bit unlucky over the season, but they have decent packages, and should be able to gain some position throughout the race."

Page: "Now let's go to row 10."

Row #10: Harold Watson---Beth Lestrade---Dean O'Lauchlan

Jaeger: "Watson's performance wasn't pretty good so far, especially when his team mate is fighting for the championship. Beth Lestrade is a talented young lady here, who has once again proven, why she's better than her team mate. Her only disadvantage is her rather weak Judd engine, but we all know that anything can happen at Indy, and in the next moment, her disadvantage might be gone. Dean O'Lauchlan hasn't been so noticable this season, and he's actually last in the championship standing. But he has qualified for the race, and that can be a turn around for his season."

Row #9: Andries van Heel---Diego Mauricio Batistuta---Jerome D'Ambrosio

Jaeger: "Three good drivers in row 9, although Batistuta hasn't really seen much success throughout the season. I'm especially excited for d'Ambrosio's performance, because his team has tested quite a lot before the month of may, and as seen by his team mate's time, the testing seems to have paid some dividents."

Row #8: Antonio Reyna-Sanchez---Brendon Cassidy Jr.---Andrea Bianchi

Jaeger: "Three drivers with good packages, but also with better team mates. And that is all I can say about them."

Row #7: Vincenzo Sospiri---Hobson Tarantino---Lance Vance

Jaeger: "Vance is clearly the lucky one of this row, because he's the only driver of his team who qualified for this race. But Mastercard Lola shouldn't be underestimated, as they have all four cars on the grid. But I'll come to them later."

Row #6: Rio Haryanto---David Lee---Kenan Ardaoglu

Jaeger: "Well, Ardaoglu has clearly been the disappointment so far. His times have been rather slow, and he seemed to be very thankful for the current qualifying rules. On the other hand, I think he'll step on the gas once the race starts, because he can't afford to let his competitor for the championship get away in the points standings."

Row #5: Veronika Asimov---Salvatore Miccoli---Ashley Cassidy

Jaeger: "Three good drivers who should be able to make a couple of positions, although they have to finish first, as they say."

Row #4: Mika Yagami---Roberto Moreno---Ryota Wong

Jaeger: "We should really watch out for Yagami here, as she's been pretty reliable so far. If the attrition rate is as high as ever, she might be a good contender for the glass of milk after the race."

Row #3: Tony Scrugham III.---Ryan McReynolds---Ed Weaver

Jaeger: "The two Campbell-Scrugham cars and Ryan McReynolds are a pretty fast row, and I think they can make a good charge at the front."

Row #2: Dave Anderson---Pastor Maldonado---Damon Cannon

Jaeger: "Anderson and Cannon should watch out for Maldonado, as he's a bit crash prone. But other than that, Anderson has good chances to make a charge at the very front of the field very soon. But we shouldn't also underestimated Cannon here, as Moseley Shoals' package has been pretty quick."

Row #1: Vidal Reyna-Sanchez---Ralf Schumacher---Martin van der Maeyede

Jaeger: "Vidal's pole has been a bit of a surprise, but well deserved nonetheless. But Schumacher and van der Maeyede are also pretty quick, and will probably make sure that Vidal doesn't race away too far away."

Page: "And that concludes our grid analysis. We'll take a short break, and we'll be back for the pre-race ceremonies."

ABC Wide World of Sports' coverage of the Indy 500 continues

Paul Page: "We're back at Indianapolis, and as the pre-race ceremony is about the begin, we'll switch over to the public announcement system."

PAS: "And now, please stand up from your seats, for our national anthem!"

"Oh, say can you see?...

PAS: "And now, we continue with another year-old tradition. Please welcome our dear friend, Jim Nabors who sings, "Back home again in Indiana".

"Back home again in Indiana..."

PAS: "Thank you, Jim Nabors! And now, we come to the most famous command in auto racing. Please welcome Mari George!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines."

Paul Page: "And now the 33 cars are going for their pace laps, and the 99th Indianapolis 500 will start soon."

OT: And that concludes my little bit of pre-race coverage. Race results will come in as usual, because I honestly don't think I can pull off a live ticker to a 200 lap race. Sorry!

ABC Sports wrote:Ashley Cassidy wins close Indy 500!

Ashley Cassidy has won the 99th Indianapolis 500, a race that has been pretty close until the checkered flag. The biggest chasers were the Pole Stars of Pastor Maldonado and Andrea Bianchi, who could have had an ever better chance at winning, if it wasn't for fuel saving. Cassidy on the other hand had enough fuel to run pedal to the medal all the way to the finish.
The big disappoinments of the race pole sitter Vidal Reyna-Sanchez and fellow front row occupier Ralf Schumacher, who both retired within the first fifth of the race. Championship contenders Kenan Ardaoglu and Dave Anderson also retired pretty early, which is why they didn't score any points. But all in all it can be said that the 99th Indianapolis 500 was another classic in the long line of classic Indy 500s.

Luke Knight wrote:Second and third, if it weren't for those thirsty Chevvys, it'd be 1st and 2nd! Pastor and Andrea drove incredibily well, and while we didn't win, I think this establishes Pole Star as the leading Swift team. My consolidations go out to Martin, who was leading until lap 125, when suspension failure from contact with another car, robbed him of a comfortable lead. Storming down to other garages a la Michael Schumacher at Spa in 98 won't help us win though Martin! Bring on the rest of the season!

Martin van der Maeyede wrote:Although retirement isn't great, it was made worse by the fact I was leading until Mika Yagami got in my way! Andrea Bianchi wins his first race of the season!

This year's Miller 200 provided a lot of excitement, even though Andrea Bianchi won his race with a lead of over a lap. But his clever strategy enabled him to achieve this feet. Further down the field, the race was exciting too, even though there has been some controversy. Lap nine saw a collision between David Lee and Kenen Ardaoglu, when Ardaoglu crashed into Lee, just as he was about to pass him. There was also another collision between Beth Lestrade and Dean O'Lauchlan on the 110th lap, when both managed to crash on the start-finish straight. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the accidents.
