Lotus will spend the following amount of money into each area:

Grip: 900.000
Top speed: 900.000
Reliability: 750.000

And 1.600.000 on ground effects for as early as possible (we're running the Lotus 79 goddammit )

And we'll participate at the pre-season test.

For our only pre-season upgrade, Martini would like to spend 150.000 on ground effect and hope that it works.
We will participate at the pre-season test, where we will focus on reliability. Driver TBC, depending on what happens to Pescarolo at Williams and whether Takagi accepts Arrows offer, freeing up Laffite...

It's not allowed. However, the new upgrade regulations allow him to buy the 1.6M ground effect upgrade directly after the first race.

My bad, must've missed that bit. I'll have the 1.6 million in ground effects spent after race 1 then. We'll be focusing on grip at the pre-season test instead.

Penske will spend 600.000 $ on all areas, including ground effect. Penske is also in favour of a pre-season test, preferrably in Brands Hatch.

500k on everything, plus a pre-season testing in any German track with both of ATS' drivers.

Brabham will spend

800.000 on grip
600.000 on top speed

We'd like to attend the test wherever it is, with both of our race drivers. We'll be focusing on top speed at the test, and after the first race, we'd like a 1,500,000 upgrade on reliability please

As I said on the last page, Shadow will run 78 spec Cossies.

It seems Takagi did not accept our offer, so we are announcing Lafitte as our second driver. Now we are waiting for BCS if he is still interested to test a driver in the last 3 races.

Looked at the engine list and it said Ferrari had 1 available. Anyway we will go with Matra then.

We would also like to spend 350K each on Rel, Grp, Pwr and Ground effects.

The ground effect upgrade is more effective than a normal upgrade, but it has a 1/3 chance of failing (1/6 if tested). Ground effect was allowed until 1982 in Formula 1, and to be honest, I haven't thought about 1983 yet, as it will take at least one year (in real life) to get there.

Thank you, I already changed my developing plan as you can see in my prev post, so that we will invest small amount into ground effect which is to be tested at Brands Hatch.

As for ground effect ban - there is plenty of time, maybe some federations and associations will be established by then, just as in pasta_maldonado's game, so we will see what will happen. Another suggestion is that there is some random chance for a ground effect ban after every season, with the chance increasing every next season. Maybe that random chance must be played and announced in the middle of the previous season, so that team managers prepare and act. That way will be fair, i believe.

Budgets are updated with engine and driver costs.

How much money for the Ferrari engines is payed by Ligier?
The engine suppliers for Merzario
The Merzario driver
The Apollon chassis number/name

It is for free, as the agreement is, in exchange for free engines, Ligier becomes our bitch, and does whatever we say

i'm not quite sure, but think i'll be looking for a turbo engine next year and there is only Renault up to now.

If, as the wiki suggests, Pescarolo has been replaced at Williams, Martini would like to offer him the same 10K per race deal that was offered before. If we race for the entire season, which is looking likely, this will give him 160.000.
