Aimée Gauthier wrote:It was a good race for us, but not great. We still have pace, but it was not enough to challenge Frankham, which is something we need to work on. I am not too concerned that it was him that beat us today, though; I think he is not consistent enough to be a legitimate threat to our championship ambitions this year. Still, though, we are not in this business to finish 2nd all the time, I want to win a race sooner rather than later, and I think after this race we should be able to improve enough to win the next.

And if you're into drag racing, i suggest you go to a beauty contest, organised by Mrs. Van Dycke. Who happens to be your talent coach.
Also, Octan will release a limited edition Lego set of their junior drivers, including mini-figures of Barett, Nicchi, De Boer and Da Cunha! (6 to 10 years) That's a true collectors item! They might not be the most succesful drivers, but they are the most fun to play with! Of course, more widely available is the Lamberigts training day set and the Vannieuwenhuijzen pitstop set! (10 to 16 years)

It's sort of similar to the one that came out in the 1990s which I got for a birthday one year. I'm pretty sure I still have all the bits but the Octan stickers are long gone and the instruction manual will no doubt have seen better days!

I guess the yellow one can be a Kamaha, the blue one a Gillet or Autodynamics perhaps, and the Green a Jones or Alitalia! Maybe I should go back to my parents' place, get all three storage boxes of my old Lego and we can have some stop-motion "tales of F1RWRS" episodes!

Aimee Gauthier wrote:It was another strong race for myself and the team. We had good pace at the beginning, but I was being cautious as I saw Botha was charging away in the distance; I figured he would wind up wearing out his tyres or crashing or something. I did close up to him by the end but it was too late then, I had left it too late to push. Had I done so earlier I am certain that I would have won, but the points are still good for second. At the next race weekend our goals have to be to win, and to take the championship lead.

Corrado Provera wrote:While we're happy that Mineiro has scored pole for this race, we're still concerned about how erratic the pace is at the moment. One race Barlini is up there, the next he is right at the back of the field. And the same goes for Mineiro. Both drivers will need to find some consistency if they're going to progress. If they can't fix this, I will have to bring in a more consistent runner, such as Marcus Gronholm.
