After finding Oulton Park for GP2, we'll be going there instead of Cadwell for the Grand Prix of England.
I've also noticed that Suomanen looks to be on the move to DSR in F3 for a few races. Ultimately, the "no races in RWRS" rule is a bit stringent so I'll open it out to allow drivers 10 races in an RWRS competition before moving on. I'd prefer not to have drivers double-dutying, but if it's necessary then I'll allow it.
Therefore, Suomanen can help DSR out as long as the races don't clash.

Shouldn't be a problem, since the British round and the Pau SuperPrix don't clash with F1RDS races, and the Italian round of F3RWRS and F1RDS are both held at Monza on the same weekend.

2016 Grand Prix of Spain - Circuito Ricardo Tormo - Qualifying 1The F1RDS opened its doors for the second season of the RWRS feeder category in Valencia, as the 250bhp cars cruised around the Ricardo Tormo circuit to qualify for the first of two races. Stan Frankham drew first blood, grabbing a point for pole just a smidgen ahead of the Winter Cup winner Anu Vosu. Both Mecha cars seemed to cast off their poor pre-season pace with good qualifying results, as did the Octans of Barrett and Nicchi. Iakopo Fuamatu was uncharacteristically low down the grid, as was Alitalia's Nino Barlini who suffered with a multitude of issues to sit at the back of the grid.

F1RDS - Grand Prix of Spain - Race 1 Results
Although it was hardly the blockbuster event many were hoping for, the RDS got off to a clean yet processional start in Valencia.
POSITIVES
+++ Stan Frankham - Frankham is the first driver in the RDS' history to chalk up 20 points on a race weekend. Having done a great job in qualifying, the Brit held onto a strong lead, holding off the advances of Ecurie Prenois' Aimée Gauthier to win his first race.
++ Aimée Gauthier - The French driver managed to get off to a great start, picking Anu Vosu and Miguel Silva off in the first two corners. Although she wasn't able to catch and pass Frankham, she certainly wowed the crowd with her bravado in the opening lap.
+ Mecha Grand Prix - Having come from a Winter Cup in which they amassed only 9 points, the Indonesian team managed to get more than that in this one race with Botha and Kurniawan having very strong races.
NEGATIVES
- Terenzio Nicchi - As the Vatican driver began his race from 11th, he was in with a shout of points. However, after dropping down to 14th on the opening lap Nicchi was immersed in the midfield, eventually running out of road at Turn 1 as he began to get flustered in the heat of battle culminating in a 20th place finish.
-- The Spectacle - Although it's more down to the layout of the small Ricardo Tormo circuit, it's obvious that this race will hardly go down as a classic. However, it does serve as a solid foundation for the rest of the season.
---Behrman Reith - The young German had an awful first race; starting from 20th meant that he had work to do and an incentive to get close to his teammate on track. Unfortunately, Reith put in a lethargic performance to finish last as he was cannon fodder for the cars lower down the field.

I am not too concerned that it was him that beat us today, though; I think he is not consistent enough to be a legitimate threat to our championship ambitions this year. Still, though, we are not in this business to finish 2nd all the time, I want to win a race sooner rather than later, and I think after this race we should be able to improve enough to win the next.

Octan guy: Chuck, this is not some kind of drag racing, this formula is serious stuff. And don't complain about gas, you're sponsored by the worlds number one gas company. Danish quality!
And if you're into drag racing, i suggest you go to a beauty contest, organised by Mrs. Van Dycke. Who happens to be your talent coach.
Also, Octan will release a limited edition Lego set of their junior drivers, including mini-figures of Barett, Nicchi, De Boer and Da Cunha! (6 to 10 years) That's a true collectors item! They might not be the most succesful drivers, but they are the most fun to play with! Of course, more widely available is the Lamberigts training day set and the Vannieuwenhuijzen pitstop set! (10 to 16 years)

You know, there's a Lego set that's come out recently of an Octan race car and transporter, and ohh when I saw it in the Lego shop in Brighton, I was very tempted!
http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Grand-Prix-Truck-60025?fromListing=listingIt's sort of similar to the one that came out in the 1990s which I got for a birthday one year. I'm pretty sure I still have all the bits but the Octan stickers are long gone and the instruction manual will no doubt have seen better days!
http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6335-1I guess the yellow one can be a Kamaha, the blue one a Gillet or Autodynamics perhaps, and the Green a Jones or Alitalia! Maybe I should go back to my parents' place, get all three storage boxes of my old Lego and we can have some stop-motion "tales of F1RWRS" episodes!

I have that one somewhere at home, there is also a race start/pitstop set with a red and a black car, in the same style.
Well, making virtual lego-sets of F1RWRS cars would be nice. When i got time on my hands to sort all my Lego out, i might actually start building them, but that will take a while. Also because probably i'll need to go the the nearest shop, which is in Köln, to buy some extra material and different colours. But yeah, i think it's my duty to do this one day! I don't need any drawing skills for that

Anger and Barlini managed to drag their cars further up the grid this time, whilst Sandy Grey and Patrick Feldhoffer failed to continue their good form at the Ricardo Tormo circuit.

2016 F1RDS - Grand Prix of Spain - Race 2Stan Frankham sat on the front row for both races, but this time Naas Botha was quick on the draw and moved his Mecha into 1st. Gauthier and Scrattenheim made light work of Frankham in the first few laps, and although Frankham tried to reclaim 3rd he ended up dropping back from the German's Red Bull. Although Gauthier slowly closed the gap to Botha, the South African had enough in the tank to rebuild the advantage at the end to take his first win. Manuel Riva drove a mature race to fifth, whilst Miguel Silva made up for his mechanical trouble in Race One for 6th, despite increasing pressure from Alitalia's Nino Barlini. Barlini had produced a spirited drive, having overtaken then cleared the race-long squabble between the two NREs, Jari Lappalainen and Daniela Anger. Lappalainen and Vosu eventually rounded out the top 10, as Grunewald's pace fell away in the second half of the race.![Image](http://i.imgur.com/NXfzZ5s.png)

Grand Prix of the United Kingdom - Race 1 - QualifyingInstead of visiting Brands Hatch like the rest of the RWRS, the RDS travels to Donington and like last year didn't necessarily provide a spectacle in the expected order. Mineiro grabbed a pole for Alitalia. Anu Vosu also appears on the front row, as Plus One's Daniela Anger makes up for lost time by claiming an excellent 3rd. Disappointment was a common feeling amongst the winners of the Valencia races; Frankham and Botha both qualifying well down the field along with Nino Barlini, who couldn't continue his form from Valencia either.![Image](http://i40.tinypic.com/2zso29h.png)
(I thought I'd keep pace with the calendar, hence the short gap between races.)

One race Barlini is up there, the next he is right at the back of the field. And the same goes for Mineiro. Both drivers will need to find some consistency if they're going to progress. If they can't fix this, I will have to bring in a more consistent runner, such as Marcus Gronholm.
