Thank you. Just as a status update, I've narrowed it down to four choices. Two of which are rather silly, and one makes me look like a cheater.

The fact he hasn't snapped and killed us all for constantly bugging him about it is a minor miracle in itself

Isn't it Acuri and Arrowtech that need to either 'merge' or have one close down?

Bosevic to Mitie?

Mitie's search for a new driver for 2015 took a new twist this evening, after Mr.Alexander announced his intention to sign Arrowtech driver Mirko Bosevic for next year. Speaking to MitieOnline.com today, Mr.Alexander said "We are impressed with his professional attitude and commitment, so would like to speak to Arrowtech soon about his services."
Meanwhile, DGNgineering have seemed to have cooled their interest in hotshot David Neuberg recently, and Mr.Alexander has finally announced his intention to keep the young German for another year. "He's been fantastic really. His agent has come forward to say David would like to move up the grid in the future, but would like to stay one more year. We are happy to meet those requests and a contract has been offered."

While we are talking about it: what position would Prospec need to finish in in order to get #27 - because I have an hilarious merchandise idea with that number.

And now for something different...

www.sportschau.de wrote:Tropico staff to go on strike

According to their spokesman, the mechanics, accountants and cleaning personnel of Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport will start a strike that will take place during the final Asian rounds. Whilst the accountants and cleaning personnel will completely cease to do any work, the mechanics will do just enough to ensure the cars do not become a danger to the other competitors.

When asked about the goals of said strike, the spokesman said that they want recently released Darren Older Jr. rehired along with a 0.75 % wage raise for all staff. El Presidente described the strike as "yet another American sabotage against the free republic of Tropico".

Autosport wrote:American Racing Conglomerate Announces Tropico Bid

In a shock move, American Racing Conglomerate has offered to buy Tropico GP (including all assets and driver contracts) for an absurd amount of money. They are apparently being bankrolled by American corporations in an attempt to bring a new market, and thus, a new revenue stream to American business. Whether this is related to the recent Tropico strike or ARC's ambition is still unclear.

Alitalia seeking Older Jr Tropico deal

In a shock move, Scuderia Alitalia have indicated they will release Darren Older Jr to former team Tropico, but only if they can somehow persuade DGN junior driver Mestolio to move to the team for the remainder of the season.

The revelation asks yet more questions about the ARC involvement with Tropico, with few, if anyone, having a clue quite what is going on.

ARC is trying to buy Tropico so that they can be eligible in the pre-qualifying cup. There is nothing in the regulations stating that a team can't change chassis in the middle of the year... In fact, ARC is planning to sell back Tropico to El Presidente for 2015. However, ARC is still planning on operating Tropico for the rest of the season with ARC's current chassis (and Jesus Plaza) while the ARC team will take the Tropico chassis and Leonhard von Gottorp. Tropico management just has to agree with the chassis and driver swap. (To Wizzie, you might owe me a case of beer in the future.)

To kostas22, Mestolio's contract is up at the end of the season and it is up to him whether he wants to leave ARC. However, I refuse to let him leave now.

Hmmm... I knew I left something out of those. Aerond has said (a lot) that once a team has a chassis it can't be changed till the next season. And this is arguably a much worse thing than what Wizzie did.

I'm afraid you can't do that. Simply because as TMLW said, I've written here a lot of times that any team can only change their chassis and or engine at the end of the season, and straight swaps aren't allowed anyway by our market rules. You thought you may found a loophole, but you didn´t.

Oh, in that case...

ARC Pulls Out of Tropico Deal
American Racing Conglomerate has decided to not pursue a hostile takeover of Tropico GP after a clarification of the rules. They hope that Tropico will not bring litigation against ARC for any activities in the past.

Jesus 400 credits for Tropico! And 230 even for Mitie! I presume you chaps are saving them up for a new chassis and/or engine for next year?

Interesting that I believe the cap set in place for pay-driver credits for 2015 is 400, so Tropico have only reached that level now having run two all year. It shouldn't hamper teams trying that strategy too much in that case, which is good news for teams at the back fearing they have no hope.

Little bit concerned for Shonan though - only a bit faster than Tropico but with less than half the credits currently. They could find themselves leapfrogged if they're not careful.

Trueba not far behind on 220 either. Perhaps we'll do well next season. With Ben Fleet's pay driver credits next season we should have both a new chassis and engine in time for Slovakian wunderkid Anrdrej Kremnicky stepping up to F1RWRS :D

I was wrong about the pay-driver credit cap - it's 350 credits not 400, but still generous.

CJR will just have to get some good results in during 2015 then before you come and dick all over everyone with that bloody Kremnicky in 2016!! ;)

1 - Can't just dump Albertini
2 - I don't want two paydrivers, I consider that unfair
3 - My team is easily ROTY

Leapfrogged? This team will be here for another year at least at the back.

Shizuka, I don't think Shonan will be ROTY, partly because you want it too much. I think it'll more likely be HRT or someone like that.

You didn't have 1000 credits to start the year off did you? Because your current setup is only worth 600 in total, so 300 if you sold it back. Even of the available chassis and engines there you could have something so so much better e.g. Rial ARC-02 chassis for 300cr. and Ford HB IV engine for 525cr. coming in at 825 in total.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my saved credits yet. Either purchase a new engine/chassis or blitz the lot next year on engine upgrades and qualifying performances. But at least I'll have a healthy amount of credits to do whatever I want anyway. I'm expecting to have around 700 credits after TV revenue, pre-q cup and prize money comes in too.

Do you understand now why I was trying so hard to have that pay driver cap not until next season?

But this is good, unless something out of the ordinary happens (i.e. I leave pre-qualifying), Tropico will reach the budget cap after chassis and engine are sold. I know this is risky, but I will predict Tropico to leave Pre-Qualifying at least one time next year.

I'll also predict Mitie to qualify at least half a dozen times next year. With about 700 credits by season start, I'll have more than enough to get a better engine or chassis. Plus, I'm guessing Neuberg has pretty good stats for a pay-driver, so I'll probably keep him in one of the seats for extra credits to upgrade the car throughout the year.

Acuri will save the 80 credits for next season.

And just to clarify, ArrowTech will enter the Nurburgring race, not Indianapolis. Messed up the entry

I think I had a thousand, but due to my awfully bad luck (i.e. if I had stayed online for an extra few minutes, I would have seen Aerond's post with the list of chassis and engines... try to beat that  ), I had to buy a crap chassis, on which I spent all the credits to make it reliable.
Well, I paid the price for that, so we'll see what can I do next year, I predict nothing more. :D

and whose fault is to have chosen that engine with plenty of credits to spend, and then blow much of your credits on reliability without knowing if the car would qualify first? That´s what I call Reject Management, just as good as Rial, Onyx, etc, had.
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.
