I proposed to create an off-topic forum a while back, but it didn't seem to gather any support. I'm happy that some of you are now in favour of it :)

After all, we have already moved from the site's original scope: we should only have the HWNSNBM, JDD and PS forums at most. As for F1 history and specially F1 alternative universes, yes they are F1-related but not reject-related. As the forum activity grows and more people interact, it's natural that the topics become more varied. I have no interest at all in certain threads (for example, I never read the F1RWRS series topics) but that's just me.

The Royal Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet. There's almost a month-worth of stuff going on there each August: New Wine (for adults, church groups and families), Soul Survivor (for teens) and Momentum (for those in 20s-30s). It was this last one I went to, with a group from Uxbridge. I got to drive the minibus...

At least you didn't go into Shepton proper, I went on a night out there once and was almost killed...

I quite like the B&W Show, I can remember me and a few mates tried to sneak in once and found it nigh-on impossible...the security's very good.

I've done a bit of digging, and it turns out that Autosport have released all their old news articles for free reading (before that, they used to be free until 30 days after they were first published) but they've introduced a limit so people can keep subscribing to Autosport Plus. So really, nothing has changed.

Speaking of Autosport, why is their forum so awful? Seriously, they have massive flame wars on there, most members absolutely HATE this season because it's 'too unpredictable' and they don't share our love for the back of the grid. I'm so glad I found this place instead of registering there.

Because half of the forum is full of whiny 11 year olds who are far to immature to be on a forum.

Just went to see qualifying for Zolder 24hours of 2012, and i'm not amused.

The promotors promising at least 50 cars, with 31 cars on the entry list yesterday and today, we have... 21  . With also the circuit directors and the people running the championship that provides the 9 competing proto's arguing against each other, arguing against participating teams, against a lot of teams and drivers not participating and begging the crowd to actually show up.
Also permitting up to six drivers per car to get a race run is looking a bit ridiculous.
Possibly ROTR candidate though might be the big talks of the proto-manufacturers (especially Wolf and Ligier, yes these are actually 'works' efforts) of going the whole race full attack and beating the likes of WRT, Prospeed and VDS, all showing up with their regular GT3 cars, and drivers one has actually heared of before this race.
Meanwhile the touring car category has 2 participants (of which one is a silhoutte and thus not a real touring car) and 1 in the history category (added last-minute in an attempt to get more cars, forgetting that the historic championship actually runs in the same weekend)
Meanwhile at the racing track, there's also a techno/dubstep festival, meaning that you can't even hear the cars at some points of the circuit, and you will be unable to access a big part of the track in the weekend.

Seriously Zolder, WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS?

Is there a good reason why Qing Hua Ma's debut wasn't mentioned on F1Debrief on Speed when that was the only REAL highlight from FP1? I mean, drivers going over curbs is all fine and dandy, but it happens all the time at Monza. Show who made their debut, mechanical issues, and who got fastest, NOT trivial curb jumping when highlighting Friday Practices.

Also, I still don't like Steve Matchett.

F1 Debrief tends to avoid the backmarkers as much as possible. Last week they didn't even show the FP2 times from Belgium, thus depriving the US audience of Marussia's greatest moment of the season!

The only two names I can think of to fit that criteria of throwing away a 500 win right now are JR Hildebrand and Takuma Sato...
