So I was half-correct then, it was a girl. Actually I was originally going for Danica first, but thought her to be too obvious a choice

Already knew that was the answer, the question was for other members to guess. But it did surprise me when I first found out

Here's a puzzler for you all:

What was the first Formula One grand prix (not including the Indianapolis 500) which did not feature an Italian driver?

I was going to say the 2012 Australian Grand Prix, but that would be too obvious...

I thought it would have been during the late 60s, when there weren't too many about, but after a bit of rummaging I think it was the 1958 German Grand Prix.

As there seems to be no current question here, I have a question:

Without reference to Wikipedia etc., what was unique about the qualifying session for the 1976 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch?

It was the only Formula 1 World Championship qualifying session to take part at Brands Hatch during 1976?

Taking a wild guess here ... Was it the first qualifying session shown live on UK TV?

Was it that the BBC (presumably that weekend's host broadcaster) refused to broadcast the qualifying, because of Alan Jones' Surtees, Durex sponsorship? Or is that the race I am thinking off?

Who is the youngest driver from the USA to start a World Championship race?

No idea. Scott Speed.

By the way, are you including the Indy 500's that were counted as rounds of the championship from 1950 to 1960?

If so, I'll guess Troy Ruttman.
