Alright, I know the first two are Rubens Barrichello and Ralf Schumacher, who's the 3rd?
The only two names I can think of to fit that criteria of throwing away a 500 win right now are JR Hildebrand and Takuma Sato...
I was gonna say Hildebrand too, but I've never seen Klon support him. And Sato couldn't have thrown away an Indy 500 win, since he was never in the lead, and I don't think if he'd backed out, that he would've caught back up to Franchitti in time.

You know what ticks me off? The fact that Vettel isn't halfway through his career and people are already making judgements on exactly how good he is. Let's give it 4 or 5 more years first, mkay?

Like you said in the unpopular opinions thread, it would be nice to have a year where Red Bull don't have the best car and see how he does then.

You know what? If I was Dieter Zetsche, I would close down/sell Mercedes AMG GP after this season. It just a gigantic waste of money for a company, which needs to save money anyway. Oh, while I'm at it: While Mercedes needs to save money, they invest MORE money into their gigantic money pit called Mercedes AMG GP. Some might ask, where could Mercedes save their money? Guess what, they're cutting down on their DTM programme (They'll just enter six instead of eight cars in 2013). While I'm in favour of showing overpaid promotional drivers like Ralf Schumacher, David Coulthard and Susie Wolff the door.
After considering it, I think I started it all wrong. The Mercedes motorsport programme needs some serious restructuring. First of all, Mercedes should really just deliver engines. The partnership with McLaren was good, and I still don't get why Norbert Haug had to start a works team. Sure, Brawn was more or less the boss in 2009, but it became evident by the end of the year that the others were going to overtake them in 2010. Then, why did they have to drag Michael Schumacher out of retirement? Maybe because we won't have to ask ourselves what a Schumacher comeback would have looked like? But it was just fitting to see Schumacher not succeed at his comeback.
All in all, a marque like Mercedes has to compete for victories. If Mercedes can't achieve that after three seasons, then they should just go away, and let more competent people bring Mercedes to victory.

My thoughts exactly. I never really liked the idea of Schumacher coming out of retirement, I knew that it wasn't going to go well from the start. I knew the difference between the 2006 and the 2010 regulations was going to be a bit much. And he doesn't have that relationship with his staff from his Ferrari days. (Aside from Ross Brawn.) And besides, Mercedes GP can't build a good car. I still don't know how Rosberg got a win in the Silver Toilet Mark III.

Well, because Mercedes can build a good car: they just completely suck at mid-season development. That seemingly goes for the entire company, not only for the F1 effort: just look at this year's DTM season. Mercedes-Benz start out hugely awesome, completely destroying everything in Hockenheim with, if the situation had worked out differently, what could may even have been a 1-4 victory. Heck, even David Coulthard had reasonably good race pace. By the end of the season they were pretty much nowhere and in the second Hockenheim race Mercedes is an also-ran; that was only the season finale, the less said about the Valencia Mercedes massacre the better. In F1 it's pretty much the same: car's looking good in the first quarter/first half of the season but from then on it all goes downhill. Mercedes-Benz should rethink their investments, however instead of changing how many cars they use in DTM etc. they should just look for designers who have the ability to have more than one coherent thought per year.

Mercedes are reminding themselves why is that, Motorsport wise, they usually only participate in championships were only 2, at most three, brands exist and were they can heavily influence the rules in their own profit. Luckily for them those kids with attention deficit disorder that rule BMW are, at this moment, probably thinking of dumping DTM in favour of yet another project, otherwise they wouldn't see another championship in the next few years...

Dude, seriously, all you've done today is post about this everywhere. Whilst it was as shocking for me as it is for everyone else (Especially as F1 Rejects is my equivalent to the morning newspaper so it was like the first thing I woke up to this morning), there is a point where you're just going to make things much worse than they if you keep going. And that point was probably several hours ago.

And if they don't succeed, they just quit. I am fairly sure they are looking at 2013 as a transition year, developing "ahead" into 2014.

I'm now officially sick and tired of the 'F1 tarmac police'.
They've covered T1 at Brazil in the stuff now, and it's completely ruined the whole premise of the corner.
Essentially, it's the similar to knocking down the Houses of Parliament to make room for a housing estate.

It is true that it is possibly the safest option out there but then there is absolutely no penalty whatsoever for overshooting a corner. I think a balance must be found and I am not referring to that astroturf crap that can be found at some venues...

I am extremely drunk right now so this probably helps. I am sorry for what I did but, in fairness, I was provoked. I do not wish to remain exiled from this forum so I am issuing an apology to anyone I offended, and hope to return to these forums. However the comments that caused me to react in the way I did genuinely offended me, hence the reason I did not take them lightly.
F1 Rejects is part of me and I am part of F1 Rejects. It is time to reset that balance.

rant? how come mark webber hasn't gained any real progress at the redbull team? he's been in that same damn seat since the Jaguar days! he's seen drivers blow through the number one seat for several years since he joined back in 2003. not cool, Red Bull! wonder why he's angry when you tell him to stay behind? he needs his break which i feel is WELL OVERDUE. seriously they've been molding the car around Seb since 2010.

Will have to check the rest of the forum to see if it is necessary or not.
Also, is it just me, or have all the buttons for things like 'go to newest post' completely vanished? That is
really annoying.
