Horizon Motorsports will enter 2 cars at the Budweiser 500 for Dean O'Lauchlan (who incidentally holds the overall lap record around Indianapolis after some blistering practice laps for last year's event) and Vidal Reyna Sanchez who has also been fairly quick around ovals in his Indy Light and Indycar days.

Niko Bellic confirmed to run Budweiser 500
Serbian driver Niko Bellic has been confirmed to drive the third entry for Team Phoenix at the Budweiser 500, held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, alongside regular drivers Phoenix McAllister and Ron Mignolet.
Niko Bellic has been driving for Team Phoenix at the squad's other efforts outside F1RWRS, namely The Eastern European Touring Car Challenge and the F1RLFS Cup, with promising results. Next season, he's set to debut in the newly created F2RWRS at Team Phoenix. "I wanted to give him the chance to taste F1RWRS machinery on a pressure-free environment. We're not expecting much, but we keep faith in him", said McAllister.
Bellic himself declared: "This is very good. I am looking forward to this opportunity and I'll do my best."
Miko Fäkkinen to Tropico?
Rumours abound about the fact the second driver for the new F1RWRS squad Tropico Grand Prix, which is set to debut next season, could be Virgin Intercorse Racing School graduate Mikko Fäkkinen, from Finland. As of yet, nothing else is known about this information.

Simpson not buying Prospec
Dave Simpson has admitted that neither he or Paul Stoddart will be buying the Prospec team, as strongly rumored throughout the paddock. The team only have until the end of this season to find a new owner. Simpson will have to find an open seat at another team if no-one buys Prospec, as he has previously stated that he would retire from the F1RWRS if he didn't have a drive for 2014
In other news, Simpson was spotted at the Foxdale garage at Macau. Could this mean the Australian will be driving for the Manx based team next year?
This is a cool spot.

Tomislaw Tajner confirmed to run Budweiser 500
Polish driver Tomislaw Tajner has been confirmed to start in the Budweiser 500 in the team SOTL / Dofasco Racing,22-year-old driver last raced in Formula 2000 but without much success, probably can go about this is that the sponsors and team owner is a fellow countryman.

After Douglas Mann said that Ben Fleet's position in the team was under threat, Prince Falik wasted no time gatecrashing the Foxdale garage and was seen handing Ben Fleet an envelope and was seen talking to hime most of the night. He ate a grilled corn on the cob and drank some orange juice. After the pace that Ben Fleet has shown, we are at a loss at why Douglas Mann would even consider geting rid of a fast and rich driver.
Foxdale Auto Racing Team Press Release
1. Ben Fleet would like to "thank" Prince Falik for his "generous" offer, but in the envelope was only one of these:
...And that barely covered the corn on the cob that Prince Falik made Ben pick the bill up for, and certainly didn't cover the orange juice as well. So sorry, Prince Falik, but you can just go and Falik off to whereever it is that you come from ("Go home, Prince Falik!")
2. Ben Fleet will not leave Foxdale Auto Racing Team. He has a good and generous test-driver package with the team should he be 'stood-down' so will not be available to share Foxdale's 'secret's with other teams. And he is still involved romantically with Foxdale's team boss, so wouldn't want to be going anywhere else any time soon.
3. While it may or may not be true that the right honourable Dave Simpson was seen in the Foxdale hospitality suite recently, there were no serious negotiations about a seat being discussed. Why? Yes, Ben Fleet is a quick and fast driver, but don't forget which driver it is that he replaced. That's it, his girlfriend and last year's F1RWRS champion, Pippa Mann. Why would she not be considered first choice to drive for her own team?

What sort of team, organises a party and barbaque when they win and then expects people to pay from drinks and food? He was tighter then a scots person with constipation. He seems to forget the 12 bottles of Moet he and his team mate drank when I organised a team get together earlier this year, you can expect the bill at the next race. Although there was only £1 in the envelope, there was a note saying there are 2 million more where they came from. Although he is romantically involved with the teams owner, it does not mean he can not race for another team, does Pippa Mann need him as they do it over the back of a undamaged foxdale? Having Ben Fleet race as a test driver is a waste of his talents. I, the great Prince Falik, will do all in my power to try and get Ben Fleet to drive for Arrowtech (if Mark Dagnall is not available....).

Goodness knows how I found my way back to the track safely without being mugged - it was rather a horrific experience.
And as for me leaving Foxdale? Let me explain something to you. Mr and Mrs Mann (Douglas and Pippa's parents) and my parents were friends at university. Close friends. In fact, their parent and my parents got married on the same day in the same church in a joint marriage ceremony. Pippa, Douglas and I often met during the school holidays and spent much time growing up and playing together, both on their Isle of Man and my London. Their parents are my godparents and vice versa. Foxdale is a true family team, where even the mechanics and engineers are like family. I hope Hagane Shizuka and Jamie Davies can confirm this from their experience of our teams last year. Now, with this information, do you think I will leave Foxdale? If you think there is still a chance, go to your local DIY store, buy a bathplug, and stick it.

The worst kept secret in the F1RWRS was officially confirmed today as Daniel Melrose is to leave the ArrowTech team one year early despite putting in one of his best performances for the team at the last race in the streets of Macau where he won the Macau F3 Grand Prix in 2002. Melrose has been told not to speak with the media on the topic but rumour has it he may either be at Foxdale or at Garry Rogers Motorsport next season.

Also, I'll probably retire from the F1RWRS at the end of the season, as there doesn't look to be too many seats left and Prospec is barely going to last out the season the way they are going at this point in time. I'll probably end up in touring cars again.

Rumours are spreading that there are three people in with a shot at getting a seat at Garry Rogers Motorsport next year. Their test driver Poppy Whitechapel may be promoted and become the third female F1RWRS driver in the series, however the team seems to be looking at hiring multiple F1 world champion Daniel Melrose, who has expressed interest in joining the team. However, it seems that his only shot is if Rhys Davies puts in a good word for his friend, as GRM's first driver Frank Zimmer has had a strained relationship with Melrose since his time at Melrose's Horizon Motorsport team. GRM has also admitted to possibly throwing a lifeline to Dave Simpson, should Prospec fail to keep their spot on the grid next year.

Bosevic set for ArrowTech contract talks
Ex-F1 driver, Mirko Bosevic, is always around F1RWRS. Is it a one-off drive or entire team for sale - he's up to the job.
This time - since Daniel Melrose's plans to leave ArrowTech after this season - he wants to fill the second seat in Canadian team next season.
Bosevic says that he's ready to start talks with ArrowTech and hopes to finally return to full-time racing after his retirement in 2009.
Mirko Bosevic is the first Croatian driver to compete in Formula One, NASCAR, IndyCar and STCC.

The calendar will still be 16 races, that´s for sure... Here´s what I was thinking of:

- Shanghai
IN:
- Long Beach -Either current or F1 80´s layout-
- Road America
- Brands Hatch
- Paul Ricard -F1 1990 layout-
- Monza
- If only one race in the US: Sepang

I´m just thinking tracks that will bring good races to Gp2. A track can often be spectacular in real life (I´m thinking of Suzuka), but not bring anything to Gp2 races...

Ben Fleet wrote:About the family team part of it, well, I am going to marry Pippa at some point, so I would be marrying into the family. And the Westermarck effect? Well, there are always exceptions, aren't there? And you can't always choose who you fall in love with. And Douglas is cool about it all - the Westermarck effect definitely applies to him!
(Chances are that he may well be best man at any wedding that eventually occurs.)
I looked up the Westermarck effect, but I could have guessed it from the context...

Ben Fleet wrote:Excuse me, my good man, but does it really sound like that I am unhappy at the family-run Foxdale team? I mean, really? As I said before, They are a family team, and I am virtually a part of their family, having grown up with them. And hopefully to marry into it one day soon... And if you suggest once more that I am unhappy there, I shall find this rocket that you speak of and it shall find YOUR arse while it is about to detonate.

Ben Fleet wrote:And about that evening when he kidnapped me. I have the CCTV footage of our evening at the Foxdale barbeque. I have also CCTV footage from that foul kebab joint. Would you like these released to the press? Or, even better, New Scotland Yard?
Prince Falik wrote:What in umgabelios name are you talking about? We were in the paddock all night, before my driver took me back to my hotel. I know that Manx spirit is meant to be strong but seriously, I would just admit to yourself that you got really drunk and said many bad things, then you will feel good about yourself. For your own sake, I have not told the press what you said about your future wife, even me, the great Prince Falik, was shocked at some of the sexist things you said, for me the best place for woman is in the bedroom and kitchen, but I was just shocked, shocked at what you said. You know you have nothing and am just trying to make, me, the great prince Falik, for I am great, look bad as you know you probably said too much when you were drunk. You sir, will definately be off my christmas card list.

And Pippa has seen me drunk many times before. She's known me most of my life so she knows what I might have said while drunk. No threats of revealing that will have any effect whatsoever. AND she knows that you and I ended up in that kebab shop despite all your protestations - she's seen the CCTV footage...
And you say your driver was there. That probably explains how we got to that part of town in the first place!![]()

No idea. I'll keep replying to Prince Falik until he stops - Douglas has never got involved in anything like this, so doing this with Ben is quite a change!

It's neat, really. Allows me to have a break in the Lon vs. Morii story for a while. Keep going.

Prince Falik wrote:Dear Douglas, would you keep your drivers on a lead? I feel your long whippersnapper of a driver is trying too hard to cover his tracks when he got drunk. As for the CCTV footage, it looks like some fat bloke with a wig, my lawyers said you would be laughed out of court if your driver tries to use it as evidence. Me, the great Prince Falik, is a serious businessman, yes, yes and I do not feel I am getting any respect from anyone except the Fox. As for Melrose, I am sure the only time you will see an Arrowtech in your mirrors next season is when we come to overtake you.
