What's wrong with 10-pin?

Warning, totally unrelated to F1, but I will answer with a long post because I am an equally passionate bowler

I am a league and tournament bowler in Candlepin. I much prefer it over 10-pin.

The scores are lower, you cannot annihilate all 10 pins with endless strikes most of the time. Strikes really feel good because they are pretty rare. And because you end up with standing pins most of the time, you must be good at getting spares (or 10's.. since we throw a third ball and it is simply scored as 10). Plus, in Candlepin, the pins are left on the deck between shots. That, coupled with the smaller/lighter balls and the fallen pins acting as deflectors, it is also a game of angles (much like pool). It is very challenging and really a game of brains.

You CANNOT do a perfect 300 game in Candlepin. It has never been done. The world record is 245 right now.

A pro average in 10-pin is in the 220-240 range i believe. A pro average in Candlepin is roughly 125-130. Tom Olszta (who holds most records in Candlepin) had a 136 average for a while in late-1994/early-1995, and that is the highest average I have ever seen.

Note: If you watch the video and they say "___________, who qualified with a 454." That means his best three-string score of the season was 454 and the top five bowlers made the show.

Very fun sport! There is nothing wrong with 10-pin, though. It has it's own challenges and fun points, it's just a matter of preference

Fair enough, candlepin and 10-pin bowling seem to be completely different challenges. I used to be in a youth 10-pin bowling league, but it seems that very few of my skills would translate into candlepin bowling (just like I'm no good at bowls either!).

What do they do with the middle part of the Polo? They should sell them in packs like they used to do with Kit Kat Squares.

There have been a huge No. of forms,shapes & variations on the basic Kit Kat bar including one with chilli powder in Japan. Kubes were still being sold recently in UK.

All I can say is, HOW DARE THEY! (Bit of classic victorian theatre there) How dare they deny me, a loyal F1 fan who watches the races for free on the bbc and hasn't bought any merchandise since Minardi were bought out, the chance to watch Villenuve driving round at the back of the grid, in an uncompetitive car getting completely destroyed by his team mate! How dare they take away the only hope Hispania had of beating another team next season! But worst of all, how dare they deny us all of a team that are doomed to failure, they denied us a dead cert reject team, gits!

Still, there's always 2012!

All we need to do is arrive late in Melbourne (despite being based there), skip quali, start from the pitlane. Vettel will knock out a quarter of the field there and then, another quarter will start another pileup, while the rest retire somehow. You and your teammate would have been lapped 19 times, but with everyone else out, you just have to coast to victory.

In other words, drive Deletraz-type and allow attrition to do the work.

We will install huge signal lights on the back of the car, so when you hear this roaring sound of a V10, move to the left, and turn you indicator light on.

This will of course cost alot, but the prize money from constant 1-2 finishes will take car of that.
