I did think of Beltoise but the nose doesn't look right.
The only other person who it looks vaguely like to me is Ricardo Rodriguez.

Actually, that looks like the 1995 car at the team launch, though they seem to have changed liveries before the first race.

Its the Launch of the 1995 Forti.
For the people that are interested, Forti had a project indeed in 1998 in the name of Shannon
But never came from the ground.
Also there were rumours of a comeback in the earlies 2001's but i cant find it back.

Are you sure about 1998? Considering the whole Forti-Shannon business in 1996 went south early on, I'd doubt they'd link-up again two years later.

Proper reject gold in there. Including the amazing revelation that Life, of all teams, look to have had more sponsors than HRT... though whether it amounted to more than a handful of small change and a can of oil, we will probably never know.

Here is a photo I had never seen. It's a static photo of the MGN W12-powered AGS JH22. I have seen other photos of this test car, just never this one.

Looks like an F3000 car from the late 80s to me. Looks like they couldn't afford to make an engine cover!

According to Stats F1, it is the AGS JH22 as used during the 1987 Formula One season, adapted in 1989 to test out the new engine (which is the reason why there is no engine cover either, as the car was only designed for a Ford DFZ).

Re: Reject photos
OK, this one isn't related to a reject car or driver, but I don't know where else to put it.
The last thing I was expecting to see on a drive out to Stratford-on-Avon yesterday was this!

OK, so it WAS in a McLaren/Bentley/Rolls Royce dealership (yes, there are loads of rich people round these parts) but even so...
Here's another picture -

I have no idea if this car raced or not, or is just a showcar, but it was lovely to see it. I have seen Ayrton's Donington winning car in the museum there as well.

Re: Reject photos
Chris has scanned some more of his photos. Some great stuff there, some brilliant Formula 1 and Formula 3000. Not too many rejects, unfortunately, but I have singled out the following:
Siegfried Stohr in the Arrows from the 1981 British Grand Prix at Silverstone:

Danny Sullivan in the Tyrrell from the 1983 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch:

The following 2 are not rejects, but personally I am always interested to see photos of this car, the fabulous Lotus 88:

Faustus wrote:I've got a treat for you lovely people. A bloke I know (Chris) has scanned his old photos and he has some great photos of reject cars and drivers. These are in relatively low resolution. All of the photos were taken at Silverstone:
Posted 28th December 2011, before pasta_maldonado and go_Rubens joined the forum. However, while you could both be cut a bit of slack for not having been around when Faustus first mentioned "me mate Chris", it doesn't take a lot of detective work to unearth this post. I remembered a name being dropped first time round, so wasn't too surprised when Chris first stuck his head above the horizon and said "it was me that brought you those pictures".
And Chris, if there's anywhere on the entire internet that your pictures of back-of-the-grid cars will be appreciated more than anywhere else, it's here, so don't be too miffed. You might even end up with the instantly-revered status of BigEars (see several of his threads on the Délétraz forum) if you play your cards right!
EDIT: Actually, on second thoughts:

I wish AGS had made an engine cover for this test car, so I could have made a model of it. I could have modified the Tameo kit. I don't have have access to a decent small lathe to make the engine components and of course no drawings of the engine, otherwise I might have a crack at it.
