There were some wild rumours going on at the paddock of past weekend's Miller 200. The hottest rumour was that Walther Williams is looking to expand his auto racing business. He has already founded the "World Racing Federation (WRF)" as the parent company to the Indy Championship Series back in the spring of 2015. But alledgedly, Indy racing is only the beginning for Mr.Williams business ventures, as he's put his eyes on another motorsport. Stock car racing!
After the proposed FORASCAR series didn't get off the ground, stock car racing has been in a crisis. But it still has a loyal fanbase, which Williams wants to exploit. Some sources claim that Williams has already contacted some traditional stock car venues such as Daytona or Talladega, in order to run Stock Car races next year. But Williams could also promote double-header with IndyCar (more on that later) and the "Stock Car World Series", as the provisional name of the series is. It remains to be seen if such a series can get off the ground. Because not only needs Williams venues, but also teams and manufacturers. Not to mention sponsors and TV coverage.

Well done the lads for a front row lock out! I'm really thrilled by Pastor's, Andrea's and Martin's pace, and I'm confident we can bridge the point gap to the leaders and challenge for the title. The way we have gone from struggling for pace at the start of the season to being the team to beat really shows how much hard work and effort have been put in by our guys, the boys back at the factory and the lads over at Swift and Chevrolet. The developing partnership vetween us and Swift really is starting to pay dividends now!

Roberto Moreno wins most exciting race of the season!

Today's Road America 200 saw a surprising winner, as Roberto Moreno won his first race of the season. Moreno, who started from 10th, made use of his clever strategy, which, combined with him wrestling through the large grid, saw him take the checkered flag first. This race also saw only few retirements, and all remaining cars ended up actually within one single lap. Among the most prominent retirees were front-row leaders Pastor Maldonado and Andrea Bianchi. Martin van der Maeyede's second place didn't really conform an upset team owner.
All in all, the Road America 200 can easily be called the best race of the season. The entire field fought all day, giving the spectators a lot of action for their money. But the Indy Championship Series has no time for a pause, as the Marlboro 500 from Michigan International Speedway is already coming up.
