Sorry for inactivity.

Masta Valsattis:
It's been an up and down start to the year for me and the team. Following several retirements in the first few races, it was all forgotten about when I won the San Marino GP. It's an amazing feeling to call yourself a Grand Prix winner, especially at just 19 years of age. Monaco was a little disappointing as we had the pace to score good points, but bad pit-stops and traffic put paid to that. Hopefully, myself and Reiko can continue to make progress and pick up more points soon.

Well, you're only allowed to pick one. I'll allow it because McFry is currently on Gauthier.

That's why the idea, a swap with McFry. Wich driver, well, i'll let the driver owners decide that, who's first is first. This is a very interesting job, as the chances of being promoted in 1998 are high. (unless Megumi somehow wins a race, of course)

DNQ Robert Anderson (Gauthier) - 1:26.539
DNQ Andrew Spokes (Benetton) - 1:26.954

Ladies and gentlemen, your Reject of the Race, ANDREW SPOKES! He failed to go out for a run in Q2 (Benetton reported a mechanical problem) and failed to qualify for the race by a good four tenths due to the wet Q1 session. I'm certain that nobody had that result in the predictions league. Daniel Moreno took pole as Williams locked out the front row, which almost everyone had.

A Benetton that is midfield at best fails and the team deserves ROTR, yet an MRT that is a frontrunner fails and the driver deserves ROTR. Makes sense.

Race Review:
MORENOWINZLOL

Positives:
Daniel Moreno: Moreno demolished the field to take his second win in-a-row. Because of this, the race was fairly dull. Moreno also became the first driver to take pole, fastest lap and the win. With the championship heading into Canada (by far his favorite race), Moreno looks unbeatable at the moment.

Pieter Kickert: Eh, nobody could touch Moreno today.

Tom Douglas, James Davies and Damon Cannon: They all finished in their grid order.

Jorg Scrattenheim: Nice comeback drive from Scrattenheim as he pasted Zimmer, Takagi and the DAMS cars. Surprisingly, this is Scrattenheim's first points finish since his epic victory at the Pacific GP last year.

Negatives:
Benetton: I agree that my decision to give Spokes ROTR was bit hasty. John Zimmer couldn't even beat the Arrows to score a point! Seriously? Spokes' mechanical problems on Saturday and Zimmer's mediocre performance earns Benetton Reject of the Race (Spokes is lumped in there).

Leonhard von Gottorp, Ben Fleet and Rory McAllister: Oh hey, these guys all DNF'd again. Don't lose hope Rory.

Kazuhiko Takagi

Martin McFry: To anyone who predicted that Martin McFry would get a penalty, you would be absolutely correct. McFry forgot to brake for the first corner and caused a chain reaction crash involving Whitechapel, Kaliniczenko (for PP's sake, anyone who picked these guys gets a point, anyone who picked McFry or Benetton for ROTR gets a point). The worst part? McFry didn't even retire and he pitted for a new front wing at the end of the race. Reject of the Race for you too!

Leaders:
Pieter Kickert: 1-6
Daniel Moreno: 7-20
Pieter Kickert: 21
Tom Douglas: 22-24
Daniel Moreno: 25-37
Pieter Kickert: 38-45
Daniel Moreno: 46-

Penalties:
+2 to Martin McFry for causing an avoidable collision on Lap 1

Yes to the first question, no to the second. I am currently too lazy to compile the video reviews but I might have a half season review video later on in the year.

Leonhard Von Gottorp wrote:Silly me, I kind of need to get my act together. We are losing ground to our rivals. We should be challenging for 4th place, not be stuck in 7th. Therefore, I have decided to place myself under probation. Should I not improve my performance significantly until the end of the North American leg of the season, I will bench myself for the next three races. The replacement for this case would ideally be Anton Kaliniczenko. Should Volga not allow him to join us for that time being, we would consider other options.

To make a long story short: if von Gottorp failes to score points in Canada or the USA, he is out for the three races after USA and will be replaced by Kaliniczenko (if permitted by Volga)/somebody else (if not).

My house has no Internet right now. I am too lazy to type up results on my phone so qualifying is postponed indefinitely.
