To be honest, Sandown is a bit too short to give accurate readings as the time differences are small enough to fit inside the AI's "margin of error". So apart from the very top of the standings, take these results with a pinch of salt.

The first round of the season, also at a very short circuit (Hidden Valley) will be run in the next few days.

Luc Pellerin glad in pre-season testing, looking for more speed

The former winner in the F2RWRS and young 19 year old driver of the #15, Racing Team Solvalou, Assoluto, is pleased with his first showing in the AutoReject 3.5 series, being 10th in his first test session and 14th in the 2nd.
Luc Pellerin wrote:That was fun, but more speed would help, for a debut, just finishing this thing is a accomplishment. Hopefully the RTS crew can give us some help in the pits and we'll have a great race!

Peak Motorsport Group supports Suomanen, offers Pasitchnjuk

As news of Thomas Suomanen's horrific accident at Magny-Cours swirled through the racing world, the Peak Motorsport Group pledged their support to Suomanen, his family, and the Ecurie Prenois team. PMG will offer the services of Russian driver Viktor Pasitchnjuk to Prenois for free if they wish and hope that Suomanen makes a speedy recovery.

We can do that again, but France and Sandown have been a bit of a departure from the style of circuits in the Middle East. We might be able to get something done in Austria though, it's been one of our stronger circuits.

The rest of the Astro boys have been doing okay, we're just hoping a home race will really kickstart Marko's ambitions. He was third in the F2RWRS race last year, he loves the place and I would dearly love to see him find some dominant form, because I know he can. Nino and Jari have adapted well to the series, and Jerry's just building on his form from last year.

Providing he continues to challenge in the top 5 I see no reason why he cannot be an exciting prospect for any team in the future. That's exactly what this series does, taking drivers like Marko and giving them the chance to show what they can really do. He's doing a fine job.

As for Alessandro, he's had less of a good time this weekend. He was slow out of the blocks and that's hampered his performance. Languishing towards the back in the heat races only ends up one way unfortunately and for him he's missed out on the feature race and cost us points in the teams' championship, which I take seriously. He'll have plenty of time to consider his form, where he needs to improve, and I'll give him that opportunity to show us that he does have the ability to run at the front with the very best. I'm looking forward to seeing better performances from him.

pi3141, myself and Ataxia all agreed to place Mineiro in the car. However, given 2.0E and 3.5 are both in Austria the same weekend, he'll need clearance from the AR3.5 Commission to participate in both series during the weekend. In this instance, double duty seems a necessary step, given 2.0E, F2RWRS and F3RWRS are all at the Red Bull Ring at the same time, as well as IWC, IA and 2.0NA all in Montreal at the same time, there are are no other realistic candidates available of notable calibre to jump into 3.5 who do not already have other commitments.

Due to the exceptional circumstances and short period of time given to find a replacement, I'm allowing Mineiro to compete. However, this should not be taken as a precedent that all double-dutying is accepted.

Adelaide Voeckler is interested, after being unfairly dropped from Rob Lomas Racing's F1RWRS team despite putting in competitive times. She will surely be an improvement over TRE's previous drivers.
