Recent rumours in the F1RWRS paddock suggest that the Holden Racing Team are chasing the signatures of top F2RWRS for the 2016 season. The team has already confirmed that Frank Zimmer will drive one car and that their current F2 drivers, Carter Simpson and Daniel Melville, will continue to drive for the Young Lions next season. It is believed that team principal John Zimmer has contacted at least 4 drivers: Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen, Terry Hawkin, Jean-Vincent Albertini and Michael Cameron. None of the drivers nor Zimmer were available for comment.

Since I've most likely missed something, I'm willing to bet most are already taken. And I know full well I'll probably never get van Nieuwenhuijzen

Plus, Hawkin also falls foul of the 18 year old limit for at least the first few races of next year.

That's a good point which I'd completely forgotten about. Hawkin will definitely do a full season of F2RWRS next year then.

Michael Cameron is in talks with Simpson about F1RWRS next year and feels a degree of loyalty towards them, but he feels he would be foolish not to seriously consider any opportunity to drive for an established team such as HRT.

In other words, MinardiFan, if you want him act now; TMLW likewise.

TMLW; you are too late, van Nieuwenhuijzen has already signed a contract elsewhere for 2016. But not at Alitalia.

I will bet you one hundred million dollars it's not Gillet. Because not having a line-up of Moll/De Bock would rock the boat so much at Gillet the entire team would enter crisis mode, have a few engines spontaneously combust while sitting in the garage, setting the entire paddock alight in a shower of exploded cylinder heads and gearbox components.

Aurelien Moll and Thomas de Bock will remain at Gillet until they both die of old age, basically.

This is completely the truth, they are the Ashby and Reed of F1RWRS.

It's also not Autodynamics

As much as I'd like van Nieuwenhiujzen (or however you spell it), I'm sad to say I've never been in contact with his "owner" - I'm going to say Mecha GP hired him.

An interesting observation. As a rumour that makes way more sense than you know. For reasons that having nothing to do with F1RWRS. You'll see why soon enough.

Jesus Plaza is still aiming a seat for next season. The guy has been capable of things like getting a freaking ARC into the lead at the final lap in Zandvoort only for the car to stop. Then teams like Autodynamics complain they never get to qualify with drivers like Damon Cannon at the wheel.

Indeed, this I never understood. He complains and complains about how crap his team is, when there are better drivers out there that are free agents and can be snapped up in an instant. Yet he hires O'Lauchlan, why? If he wants a pay driver, maybe even Ben Fleet is available, who has done a good job for Alitalia this season. He is not strong in the races at all, but his qualifying pace is so good he is able to drag the guy with more racecraft than one lap speed out of PreQuali and into the race.

Frankly, the Alitalia is utter garbage. That donkey of an engine has no place being in actual races. Yet it still happens more than half of the time. And I believe my driver choice is repsonsible for this. Are there really that many more better lineups than Koczo/Fleet in F1RWRS? Really? I can't think of that many.

Cannon was a comeback-desperate driver, IMO. If you want, eurobrun, would do you like to hire Mackintosh for next year, since he's squezeed out of Mecha with Poppy and Nathan for next year? ;)

Gah what?? I have no intention of van Nieuwenhuijzen deliberately committing career seppuku. Mecha is a poisoned chalice. Anyone who drives for them is flat out desperate! I can confirm that any driver under Alitalia management will never drive for Mecha. Ever. (Except maybe Benoit Voeckler)

My logic is; every driver that goes to Mecha hits a career dead-end, and then gets blasted by the team after they leave for being incompetent. And then the new drivers who come along suck equally hard.

My logic is valid.

Foxdale Auto Racing Team Driver Line-Up For 2016!!!

After much discussion and heated debate, Foxdale are pleased to announce that their driver line-up for next season will be Martin McFry and Ben Fleet. This is believed to be Foxdale's strongest line-up since 2013. This suggests that Douglas Mann will be left out in the cold, unable to reach the magical milestone of 100 entries in the series next year. However, Pippa Mann has promised another announcement at the final round of the season, that may yet throw a lifeline to Douglas Mann. Stay tuned!

Because you're going to juice his stats in GP2?

If there is any realism to this game, he will be no good whatsoever.

I'm not, obviously. But the podium he scored in 2014 will mean a serious revamp to his stats; and I hope more points in the two races left for an even better outcome.

MinardiFan95 : Prince Saeed Al Faisal is retiring at the end of the year as I have my 5 driver limit and I have a new F3 driver coming up and Barii Mori will still be a reserve driver in F1RWRS. However if you or someone else wants to take the best F1RWRS driver to come from the middle east then please do. I will be happy to be his voice.

Rumours are starting to float out of Kingfisher HQ that Ashley Watkinson is about to be sacked and replaced by Jesus Plaza for 2016 after a disappointing 2015 season from the Brit. David Neuberg meanwhile is expected to be resigned for 2016 by the team in the lead seat.

In other news on my never-ending quest to get Revolution a title sponsor, the Japanese squad are allegedly on the verge of signing a one-year title sponsorship deal with Australian rock band AC/DC as they prepare for a world tour, which will include headlining both Slane Castle and Glastonbury during 2016.

INDY UPDATE
I have decided to cap the entry list at 66 cars, which means 3 races I have to run. I currently have 53 cars with confirmed drivers and 7 that don't, so if you want an entry and haven't got one (and have a team this season, although I'll give oppurtunities to teams on the reserve list if there are still spaces), now is the time.

The format will not be like last year's two-race format. I'll do it properly this time, although with GP4's race length limitations I'll still have to run each race twice. But with recent discoveries in decreasing the number of cars that race, I can combine the results while not allowing cars that retire in the first half to continue into the second half, thus making it easier (and potentially only requiring one or two races for the second part).

So if there's any space left and teams from the F1RWRS reserve list are allowed, Mazzacane Motorsport would like to be on the reserve list for Indy.
