F1RWRS -- 2014 Season
Re: F1RWRS -- 2014 - Onwards
Now don't get me wrong, I seriously doubt myself that all of this will ever have any consequences for anyone of us - I was just thinking through the scenario DanielPT gave (i.e. someone starts complaining).

Back on topic now:
Translation - Lappy tuned down the MRTs by the tune of about 120bhp just to make things interesting.

Melrose Racing Team will run with less power than they have for most of the year at the Bud Light 800, Autosport has learned. A motion was passed through the F1RTA meeting yesterday afternoon by all team bosses, including MRT boss Daniel Melrose, to have the MRTs run with a much lower boost pressure limit at the Bud 800 as they are the only one of the three turbo teams that will be participating in the event. Whilst the exact details are yet to be revealed, it is understood that it was done in the spirit of fair competition and could be in the tune of over 100bhp. "Having been on both sides of the coin with the new Regulations and all, I have absolutely no problem with this agreement" said Melrose after the meeting. "We did have a bit of an argument about just how much to reduce the boost pressure by but, in the end, we'll still be up there with the best of them on the day. Hopefully it'll mean that the car won't lunch the engine for once." The agreement is expected to be only for the Bud 800 weekend.

I doubt that too, specially since we don't make any money on it. It is just that when/if they realise Kostas has Alitalia logos all over the place in his teams websites, that they might politely ask to remove them...

BATracer got threatened with litigation becuase there was a paid aspect to the website (I'm sure I remember there was some sort of 'premium' account feature). We aren't making anything from this at all.

People ahve been making modes for rFactor for years, all with the copyrighted names, and no one seems to care. As long as a mod is 'legal' (i.e. you created it from scratch yourself, not copied other's work or stole from another game) then it's all okay

Kool Tools, right?

And that maybe also why GPRO renamed the Ferraris to 'Red Arrow' - they have the 'supporter' option for more features (and now for be ad-free).

(P.S. I used to play GPRO in 2009-2010 [resir014 also used to participate with I]. Then after a while I stopped caring about it, because I can't care about it, not to mention the bathpluggingly annonying gameplay of GPRO, which became annonying season-by-season).

Back on topic again, after the pre-Q furore, can I just be sure that Martin McFry is replacing Pippa Mann at Foxdale at this race and at the season finale?

May I allow myself the comment that I truly appreciate you putting Pippa behind just so Douglas' status in the F1RWRS Classic Club (the now four remaining drivers who have entered every F1RWRS race ever held) remains untouched?

Well, Douglas was my original virtual driver so I have a bit of a soft spot for him, and I will continue to enter him until he remains the only driver to have entered every race. After that, who knows?

So you have the advantage of age, I have the advantage of staying at the same team for an indefinite amount of time and so does dr-baker, and Shadaza has the pay-driver advantage.
This will be very interesting indeed.

I can also confirm that the bottle slipped out of my hands and found its end on the steps. And as far as Natalie's assests are concerned, they were not revealed ... until a later time, but that is another story.

I swear to HWNSNBM that if he tries to pull that one more time, MRT will start a motion to have his Superlicense denied for 2015 because I'm starting to get sick of explaining that to him as well.

There are unconfirmed reports that Daniel Melrose may be in doubt for the Chinese Grand Prix after pulling a muscle in his right leg on Saturday morning.*

Oh, I see why I kept misreading the calendar now - I saw two F1RWRS races after Surfers and assumed Luxembourg was another championship round, thus assuming McFry could enter the last two rounds of the year. Please accept my humble apologies.
The two Manns for here then Douglas and McFry for the final round. Is this OK?

Daniel Melrose has decided to have a cup of concrete and will drive in the Chinese Grand Prix. Whether he'll do anything meaningful however is entirely up for debate.

Autosport wrote:Melrose doubtful for Chinese GP?
Rumours are circulating that despite saying he will race in the Chinese GP, he may be forced to sit out the grand prix to recover from his recent injury as the race may make it worse. If he does sit out two replacement drivers that have been see in the Jones motorhome are Saeed Al Faisal and David Koczo, our spies said that Al Faisal spent nearly 45 minutes in the motorhome and Koczo a mere 25 minutes. Al Faisal is desperate to get back into F1 and he has had some good results driving the Sunshine car last year, he does come with sponsorship which would give Jones racing some extra money to splurge. Neither driver or Jones racing offered to comment.
Kay Lon to be replace at the Japanese GP?
Although Kay Lon has managed a few podiums in the last few races, it is believed that the Sunshine management team from Portugal are unhappy with his performances on the track, especially as Shinobu Katayama has won a race and is currently 3rd in the championship as well as off the track with news stories of Kay Lons altercation with Barii Mori and his sex life being in the tabloid newspapers. Sunshine have refused to comment on this and no drivers have been hinted as Kay Lons replacement.
Barii Mori a record breaker.
The Chinese GP will be Moris 50th Grand prix start if he qualifies, if he fails to win the race then he will have the distinction of being the first driver to 50 race starts without a win.

Well, I guess it comes with being the best in the world at what I do - jealousy in others. I for my part am not worried, the car looked good in practice and we will be very competitive - if everything goes the way it's planned I should beat Shin today but we will have to wait and see. Even if they really feel the need to replace me for the final race I am certain that the teams at the back would literally murder each other to get their hands on my service which I could generously provide for one weekend should it come down to it.

An inside spy notes that Hagane Shizuka spent over an hour at the Sunshine Motorhome during the Chinese GP free practice on Friday. Sunshine are still mainly sponsored by Japanese firms and it would not be a surprise that they would want a full Japanese line up at the Japanese GP. Shizuka did not have the best time at Sunshine with 2 7th places and 9 retirements but I am sure he would be itching to take this years car and go out on a high.
We do understand that Kay Lon has to beat Shinobu Katayama in both qualifying and the race at the Chinese GP else he will be released before the Japanese GP.

And out of those 9 retirements, I have to say that at least twice I was leading the race when that occured. Of course it would be nice to be back where I was last season, but I can't just go in and say "Hey, I'd race for you" - it doesn't depend on me.
This doesn't mean I'd let Shonan down - we'll see how the team will fare next year, that's the most important...
