Eh, look on the bright side. You have a superlicence now, and another chance at the next race.

I have a question about engines - is the HP/weight reassigned for each engine every season? So if you buy the best engine in 2014 it turns to shite in 2015? And the same for chassis as well?

And if he somehow doesn't qualify, at least he'll have the honour of having a sub-10 lap career!

No that would be stupid, the specs stay the same, otherwise it would render upgrades, etc completely useless. What gives the lists a refresh is the removal/addition of engines and chassis giving people new options if they want it.

I'll be honest and say that I expect nothing short of getting both cars into the points in Japan for the final race, and hopefully we can recover the deficit and improve our position in the championship. The fact is though, for the past three seasons, we've completely failed to capitalise when it has mattered most, at the end of the year. In 2012 we lost both titles, in 2013 we lost out to HRT and Gillet, and this year we look set to loose out to Gillet and Sunshine. We need to be more decisive, more committed and better prepared for these sorts of battles.

So six teams have failed to score with one race remaining: Mitie/Kingfisher, MechaGP, Scuderia Alitalia, Shonan, Difasco and Tropico right? How will the prize money be sorted out? I'm assuming it'll be done on countback?

I assume so. Anyways

As to my race, it wasn't my best performance considering the circumstances but we tried to make the most of a bad situation. As Sammy said, points will be the minimum for Japan.

Scuderia Alitalia would like to make an offer to Dave Simpson; come back to the team for the final race only and we will forgo the mutual termination fee from your previous contract.

Failing that, on the off chance Giovanni Roda reads this from his prolonged holiday since his retirement, any chance you would feel like making a one-off return?

Wizzie, now the Championship is over, are you still taking Valsattis for the final race? Or have you decided to put someone else in the car?

Yeah no worries.

And for Eurobrun, I think it was you who said you might take Valsattis 'on loan' if youve got a team to run next year. That will not be happening as Kingfisher have entered him in the RoLFS for 2015.

With MRT probably going to score a double retirement, we'll need to score a 1-2 if we want to finish second in the championship, and in any case we must finish ahead of Sunshine.

Anyways, we're already happy to see an improvement in the reliability of our car, as we have finished 14 times this season, as opposed to 11 last year. Next year, our goal is to finish more than half of the races we start.

There are only two such drivers in F1RWRS. Ben Fleet and Ron Mignolet. Fleet is already contracted to Scuderia Alitalia for 2015, however Mignolet has no contract for next season!

Oh well. Jean-Luc Schiller has looked quite competent this season really, but you'll have to pry him away from Prospec first.

Tristan Jung
Mirko Bosevic

As far as I know Bosevic will be signed for 2015, he just needs to be confirmed...

And Groves can do double-duty for a team in F1RWRS.

He's currently mine, transferred from Kostas. IIRC he had some minor sponsorship, although Kostas should confirm that first. He's going to take part in the first F2RWRS race, but aside from that his schedule is currently empty.

FMecha, Jean-Luc Schiller is available and actively seeking a drive in F1RWRS, desperate to prove Prospec wrong for ditching him in favour of Fredo Mestolio. I also draw this to the attention of whoever else may be interested in taking on a pay driver with a bit of experience and a few half-decent performances under his belt.

I considered bringing Phil McCracken back mid last season, until I found out he is not a pay driver. Don't know what 'hell no' is for Mirko Bosevic, I always thought he was quite decent. Looks like Jean-Luc Schiller will now be the #1 target for Mecha GP :D

And, in case he doesn't read the previous post, becasue I know he doesn't check here often, MinardiFan95, I would like Dave Simpson back for the final round only, and will waive the contract termination fee due at the end of the season from your last stint at the team if you accept. With a decent qualifier instead of that bam Older Jr we can definitely make the race.

As far as I know the F1RWRS won't go to Turkey... and even if it does it won't be on the same weekend. Trust me.

Anyways,

Autosport wrote:ACURI GOES INTO BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION: REPORT
It seems like the end of the road is near for Acuri Autosport.

The team, despite gaining 11 points during the course of the season, has been beset by financial difficulties, mainly from robberies from Danish terrorists which has sent the small F1RWRS team into quite a crunch. There are small reports saying that the livery will be slightly changed to accomdate more sponsors, but even that won't put the team back in a stable position. A buyout is almost certain.

Up until this point, Andrea Acuri has constantly failed to qualify for most of the races, while Ron Mignolet, the second driver for the team, has scored all of the 11 points for the team, including a podium at the F1RWRS British GP. Despite his constant flow of cash, the team is suffering with their robberies. They haven't received any of the money back and it's highly unlikely that they'll get any support from the government.

"It's quite devastating when you really look at it," says Acuri in an interview. "But we'll take it one day at a time and we'll see what happens." It's quite likely that the team will withdraw from the 2015 F1RWRS Entry list, and are looking at options of joining the F3RWRS, or possibly having another team buyout the existing team.

Acuri, a certified accountant, says although the numbers are bleak, he hopes a sensible solution will come forward.

BTW, here is the new livery for Acuri (Aerond please take note!)

Mark Dagnall happiest man on earth

For once we could speak to Mark Dagnall for a few minutes after the Chinese GP, the man of the moment appeared with a custom T-Shirt celebrating his championship win and barefoot across the team hospitality room we were told to wait.

Q: How does it feel to be the first 2-time F1RWRS champion?

A: Very good indeed. At the beggining of the race we knew we had the right strategy but we didn´t know how MRT would react. In the end we proved we were right with the strategy and it worked well. Then we had some luck with Rhys, as he was way faster than anyone else today. The last part of the race was quite pleasant but I had to take care of the lapped guys, which is always dangerous in a narrow track like this.

Q: Did you ever think throughout the season that you weren´t going to make it?

A: No, you never think that way. You always think you can. We knew that, although we didn´t have the best car, we could have a chance if we improved reliability and that´s what we concentrated on and ultimately it paid off. Nicolas and Spencer have been extraordinary rivals and we had to fight really hard to beat them, but the fact that constructors championship isn´t solved proves how tough this season has been.

Q: Are you happy running in a family environment?

A: Yes, quite happy, but what I want is to win and I´ll be here as long as I have a competitive car in my hand. I´ve spoken a couple of times about this with my father and he completely understands it.

Q: Does this mean we could see Mark Dagnall outside of DGN?

A: Never say never, although i´m really commited to DGN and have no interest of leaving for the foreseeable future, to be honest.
