There will still be a Gillet engine available But you can chose not to get it and get another one (no rebranding allowed).

Actually, out of curiosity, how many people sacrificed 2015 with a crap chassis in the hope of mating a good engine with a good chassis for 2016?

Erm, slight problem there. You can't sell your engine to anyone for next year because nobody's allowed to buy any 2015-spec engines for next year when the new system kicks in.
