Nicolas may swap with Neuberg for North Amercia
News has filtered through about a potential driver swap between title challengers MRT and pre-qualifying Kingfisher for the American races, as MRT continue their search for more money. Neuberg was promoted to the old Mitie team last year and picked up good reviews about his reliability and speed. Indeed, Mitie claimed two race starts because of David and is held in high regard by the team. "We have been contacted by Melrose Racing Team about taking David for the North American races, with us taking their driver Nicolas in return", said team boss Mr.Alexander. "The deal has been formally agreed, although MRT have the right to cancel the deal at any moment should their circumstances change between now and round 5. We agreed to the deal as we wanted to see what David could achieve in a race-winning car plus it helps our quest for regular qualifying with the skill and experience of Nicolas alongside Ashley. It's good to see the front-running teams take notice of us as we continue to move up the grid."
The new car was finally put together yesterday too, with the new Peugeot A7 engine being fired up for the first time. "it sounded good. And the livery looks fantastic! We should be giving it a shakedown with Ashley in a day or two before the first pre-season test."

Technically wookey but since he buggered off over a year ago just after signing the original MRT contract back in 2012, I pretty much own him now.

Well, admittingly, the engines were BMW's fault but we had nothing to do with the gearbox failures

But I don't know when it was last updated so don't think it includes debut drivers.

It was updated after the 2014 Japanese GP, so there should be no problems.

Yep that's right, I've been keeping that page up to date, and as far as I'm aware is spot on with all the stats there, though if someone does notice a discrepancy, let me know!

Pippa Mann and Ben Fleet need to move from the former driver list to the current driver list. Pippa Mann has not been a regular drive since her championship, but has competed in each season, and Ben Fleet has competed in most races in the past year. Both also have full-time contracts for next year.

Yeah, all the new drivers and those returning will appear once the first race has been completed. What you can see at the moment is the current drivers from the final race of 2014. The lists were updated every race, so those who didn't compete in the final race won't appear on the current drivers table.

Nurburgring? Magny Cours?
Basically, as long as all the tests are in Europe and not on a track that's on the calender this year, we have no real problem with where we test.

Re: F1RWRS -- 2015 Season
By the way; We can now arrange private tests for one or more teams (up to 14) at any time of the year, with any driver. This will become handy if you need to test your latest updates (you can run your car with and without the newest updates to check the difference), test different drivers (up to 8 different drivers per team per test) or just test your laptimes at any circuit, or even test your car in different conditions (yes!, this can be arranged too!)
* Tests in the same country the team is based on cost 10 credits.
* Tests in the same continent the team is based on cost 20 credits.
* Tests anywhere else cost 40 credits.
-- No street circuits allowed --
-- Any driver which takes part in at least 3 tests automatically gets a Reject License.
-- Pay drivers can pay 1 credit per test (up to 3 different Pay drivers per team allowed at any test)

5 tests is a bit steep, don't you think? I think 2 or 3 at the absolute maximum should be enough.

Works for me as. It's just that 5 tests is too many considering that someone could get a superlicense just by doing one pre-qualifying run in a shitebox car during the entirety of last year.

How is that worked out? Kamaha are based in the UK near Brands Hatch but are a Japanese team. There are at least three other teams that fly under another flag but are technically based in another country too as well as those pesky teams who race under two flags.

For all intents and purposes MRT's home country is Germany considering all the factories are either in Munich or Cologne.

You can chose any permanent, real-life circuit available for Gp2 (it has to be well built, so no Shanghai F1 circuit for example, as the ones available are shite). If in doubt simply ask.
The country where the factory is placed is the one which applies in case of "dual" teams.

With a choice between Lakeside, Sandown and Symmons Plains, I don't think any of the Australian teams will be doing too much testing.

I was already planning on giving McKane F1RWRS seat time if we were allowed to if he didn't get a license through the ROLFS so either way, he'll qualify for a super license before the beginning of 2016 proper.

I suppose Boxtel will be spending most of their testing time at Zandvoort and TT Assen. May I suggest Zandvoort as a possible preseason test site?

That´s a given. (Zandvoort in the winter = 99% chance of a wet test)
I remind team owners that
A) Pre-Season tests are free, although not mandatory by every team; 2 driver line-up of free choice (but don´t count towards the 3 test to get a license if a new driver is introduced; pay drivers won´t pay for these tests). If Team owner say nothing, the team will enter the test.
B) If a Pay driver is contracted with a team he doesn´t pay for a test. (For example, Mestolio won´t pay for a test with any team, the pay driver rule only applies to new drivers)

Yes, but it won´t count towards the 3 tests for the license, plus any team may only enter 2 drivers at a public test.

I can see the reasoninng behind it because if a non-licensed driver were to collect their three tests in public tests, it's effectively a free superlicense but it still should count for something, shouldn't it? Maybe we could have a rule that in order to qualify for a license this way, at least one of the tests has to be a private one or something like that so that people can't take full advantage of the free tests to get superlicenses.

Not a bad idea. Anyway, since we´re holding only two public tests per year now (both pre-season), I don´t think many team owners will want to substitute their race drivers for a newcomer only to rack up more tests.

So if I wanted to put a pay-driver in a private test in Mont-Tremblant, which is in Canada, would I have to pay 10 credits for the test, then get 20 credits for his sponsorship (meaning I get 10 credits for this) and have one out of the three tests required to get a reject licence?

No, Pay drivers pay 1 credit per test (but you can run as many as 3); so if you put a pay driver in a private test in Mont-Tremblant, you´d pay 9 credits.

Touche. Then again, I'm smart enough to know about the 'garbage in, garbage out' principle where if the data you put in to begin with is rubbish (Which I know mine is since I don't have all the available information), the experiments will spit out rubbish results.
