Sebastien Bourdais has been issued a drive-through for avoidable contact.
What was that about Bourdais forcing Power to eat his words?

That's a little rich considering Power's choked the last 3 titles in a row and is now throwing away every single goddamn race. It looked more like a racing incident to me, anyway.
Which, sadly, leaves ROTR to Allmendinger. That was, well, just plain embarrassing.

Only Saavedra could have given a run for the money of top reject for that comedic display of the fingers at Marco Andretti, but then he avoided the crashes in the second race to yield a tenth place finish. If Saavedra loses sponsorship or gets fined then we have a new reject, but until that happens I concur about A.J. being ROTR.

The bad news is that Pippa is pretty mediocre at best, although I don't know how much is equipment and how much of the mediocrity is Pippa. Briscoe is a better driver, but not significantly better at this time.

At this point, Pippa Mann will be starting one position ahead of her Coyne teammate Justin Wilson at Texas, and she has delivered a laptime good enough to go to P10 in the final practise session whilst Wilson scored another last place due to some technical problems with his car that went on all weekend so far. Yet, Coyne believe they have figured it out by now. They'd better have indeed, otherwise Race Control would park the former Minardi and Jaguar driver after a few laps due to "handling", Lotus style.
Drivers, good luck for the race!

Every time I see Pippa Mann's name, I can't help but smile.
You see, Pippa is somewhat of a dirty name in Swedish. Translated it means 'screw' or 'shag', naughty bedroom stuff.

Now Sato has sunken into more trouble and he starts 23rd for the Firestone 550 having failed to set a time. Uh Oh.

Graham seems to be regressing as a driver and if the car is bad then it makes James Jakes all the greater of a talent seeing how he's taking those Rahal cars into reasonably high positions.

That's the reputation that others in the series have brushed her with. That is not how she is at all, as her long-term relationship and imminant marriage to Ben Fleet proves!

Apparently, it was some sort of electrical problem which put him out of the race.
And looks like it'll be RHR vs Helio for the title now.

Sato was running away with it until later on when Ed Carpenter refused to let him put him a lap down, which kind of ruined Taku's momentum. Then any hope of a Taku win died when Ana Beatriz brought out the yellow at the exact wrong moment for Sato.

The Iowa Corn Indy 250 is underway within an hour and we have Will Power and James Hinchcliffe on the front-row and then there is Marco Andretti in third. The conditions are wet and the start is being delayed.

James Hinchcliffe leads the start of the race.

After a dozen laps, this is the order:
1) Hinchcliffe
2) Power
3) Andretti
4) Kanaan
5) Carpenter
6) Servia
7) Pagenaud
8) Rahal
9) Wilson
10) Hunter-Reay

Hunter-Reay has cleared Wilson for 9th and Andretti has lost 3rd to Indy 500 winner Kanaan. Then Marco is passed for 4th by Carpenter.

Castroneves is also past Wilson. Carpenter is now 3rd. I'll just constantly update this post from now.
Power loses 2nd and 3rd to Carpenter and Kanaan respectively. The pole-sitter has lost 3 places or is that just the norm in IndyCar?
Debris from Hunter-Reay's front wing has brought out yellows for the first time and everyone has pitted. Now Power has gained 2nd place back but Kanaan has dropped to 9th. Hinchcliffe still leads on lap 44. The reigning champion is 21st after a nose change, I guess.
Hinchcliffe leads at the restart and Kanaan is down to 10th.
Power has slipped to 5th having been overtaken by Andretti and Pagenaud.
There is a lot of dicing for 5th involving Rahal, Servia, Kanaan and Castroneves. Power, the pole-sitter, is down to 10th!
Hunter-Reay has climbed to 11th from 21st at the restart. Power has lost his 10th to the recovering Hunter-Reay.
Hinchcliffe leads Rahal by 3 seconds on lap 114 out of 250. A lot of front-running drivers have pitted, meaning that Justin Wilson and James Jakes are now 1st and 2nd but momentarily as they too are in the box.
At half-distance, it surprises me that there have been no retirements.
Power is down to 13th and under pressure from Takuma Sato.
Tagliani is in the wall! Out come the yellows for a second time.
I find it very ignominious that Dario Franchitti is in 21st. Some drivers are pitting including Wilson.
Green flag. Rahal passes Andretti and Dixon is up to 5th.
Yellows are back out for debris.
Green flag Number 3. Hunter-Reay shoots into third and Andretti has lost places already.
Sato is out with fuel problems and championship chances are slimming at this rate. Tagliani has finally retired after damaging his car against the wall.
The final round of stops are taking place at Iowa.
Beatriz has retired with a mechanical failure.
Carpenter is yet to pit and leads the race.
Ed Carpenter's stop is a disaster with a problem changing tyres.
ROTR could well go to Will Power because he has slid from pole to 18th.
Kanaan is past Graham Rahal for the final podium position.
James Hinchcliffe scores his third victory of 2013.
Race Classification after 250 laps1) Hinchcliffe2) Hunter-Reay
3) Kanaan
4) Carpenter
5) Rahal

13) Vautier

The other two were unfortunate enough to have mechanical issues thus leaving Tagliani as the only viable ROTR.
