I've somehow found the time and the patience to finish off the entire second half of the driver's standings. Turned out my guesses for the final order of constructors championship were all pretty much spot on ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Klon, what sh*t those results are? You´re supposed to respect the performance of the cars in the main series. From now on, I propose only Wizzie and TMLW hold non-championship races, specially if we´re talking about licenses

Look at my comment in the F1RTA thread, eurobrun. And my guess on these results is the fact Aerond not sending performance files to Klon.

There's no need to, as I've been trying to explain for the last two months. Any monkey (like myself) with a calculator and the engine/chassis list on page 3 can make a fairly accurate performance file in about 10 minutes.

You can tell I've never spent credits on my drivers before, can't you?! And Phoenix was leading me to believe that I could spend credits on my driver at his team... Phoenix, how about Douglas Mann races for you for the first race while Pippa is at Foxdale, I spend credits on her, then we swap the drivers back for the second race onwards?
In other news...
Foxdale Auto Racing Team Press Release
As from the 2015 season, Foxdale Auto Racing Team will become Foxdale Auto Racing Team Featuring West Cliff Racing. This is as a result of Foxdale having used the name of Douglas Mann's original F1RWRS team in the Bathurst 24 Hours for their second team without challenge from any of the other team owners. There is, of course, precedence for using a former team's name in conjunction with a current team's name (namely Pacific Team Lotus in Formula One in 1995), and Foxdale would like to continue this wonderfully rejectful tradition into the 2015 F1RWRS season.
In practice, what this means is that in the F1RWRS series, the team will continue to be known simply as Foxdale, while the West Cliff name will be used whenever the team enters an alternative series. Both names would essentially be the same team, but with the Foxdale name reserved for the premier category in which the team is competing.
In other news, Ephran One Jnr (otherwise known as Eff One), the little-known driver/journalist, has died in the past week. The cause of death is currently unknown. His sole recent start was for Foxdale in the recent F3RWRS Invitational race alongside Martin McFry, to add to his race career prior to his journalism for 'F1 News' in the 1990s. Condolences go to his widow and his children (whom he often referred to as his 'little Effers').
Foxdale Auto Racing Team Featuring West Cliff Racing have also released their livery for the 2012 season:

I did. Take a look at this, this is what my carset's performance looks like.
![Image](http://s1.directupload.net/images/120710/z7ujxrke.png)
Only two obvious things to criticise here would be MRT not being strong enough and Lon/Melrose, the Manns and Zimmers being too strong - this, together with the grid being close to each other, lies in the original settings where I only had a few BHP between cars to give since I wanted to achieve realistic lap times and drivers (which were put into three categories as far as experience goes which determined their grip) were therefore much more important. To make amends for this closeness, the Random Grip Range has been decreased significantly.
These qualifying and race results are presumably due to the problem of running a race at such low speeds which did not work out quite as well as it should have. I accept fault for that but other than that my conscience is clear as far as trying to make a fair race with actual strengths considered. And if you still think I have committed an unforgivable crime, unwillingly spitting in the face of your performance files and therefore by extension spitting in your face and don't want me to run non-championship races anymore then that's okay with me, it's not my loss - I don't have to do this, you know.

Please elaborate on exactly how you did this? I suspect that the problem actually lies in there. It'll also be useful if you posted what bhp value you gave each team.

Re: F1RWRS -- 2014 - Onwards
I divided drivers in three categories - the first with most grip were experienced F1RWRS drivers (such as Sammy Jones, Thomas De Bock etc.), the second were inexperienced F1RWRS drivers and good F2RWRS drivers (such as Jean-Luc Schiller, Alberto Cara etc.) and the final category was lower-tier F2RWRS drivers, F3RWRS drivers and unsorted drivers (such as Michael Cameron, Chacko Palaniappan etc.). With there being obviously two drivers a car, the average strength was taken. The grip difference possible with this system is 200 - which may have been a bit too low in hindsight, but that's that - with a random grip range of 123.
BHP ranged from 600-589 (I started out with 80-68 for realistic lap times which led to cars on the dirty side nearly stalling at the start of a race which would have made the results completely random), ordered by Constructor's Championship position with a small step down to 587 for Donkervoort.

BINGO! You made the difference between the engines far too low which was why you had Mechas finishing 3rd and 4th and all sorts of other crazy stuff. Should have been closer to 20bhp difference between each car. What was the maximum and minimum values of each driver pairing, by the way?

20 BHP difference per car would lead to the differences being too much emphasised. While I obviously tried to respect the actual team performances I wanted a close race with driver performance being the more important thing (we are talking about what some people consider the ultimate driver track after all). The insane performance of the Mechas is just down to a bit of luck and GP2, as we/I had to learn the hard way, handling low speeds very badly.

Ok. 20 may be a bit much but surely 5-10bhp would have been within the ballpark. And even if it is the ultimate driver's track, Sabine Schmitz, as brilliant as she is, in a Ford Transit van couldn't beat Clarkson and his Jaaaaag.

Valid point. Maybe I equalised the field a bit too much - although that as you can see from the screen shot Mecha is a midfield team in the unmodified and the performance calculator even with random grip ranges wouldn't have gone higher than eight, seventh at best. While admitting that "mistake", I will insist on aerond's reaction being way over the top - but don't worry, aerond, you are free to denounce the race and all licenses issued by it and I most certainly won't bother your highness with non-championship races anymore.

The problem with the perf file is that in the f1rwrs carset the difference between Nicolas and Dagnall is 0,43 (Im not at home to check the exact number), and the gap to the Tropicos is over 5%.
Anyway, don't take my previous comment seriously as you can run the NC races anyway you want to![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Reject Of The Year nominations:
Honorable mentions:
Kay Lon - While his second half of the season was very good, the first part of it was mostly very disappointing.
BMW - No championship challenge with such engines.
Nathanael Spencer - Got his arse handed to him by surprise of the season Nicolas.
Scuderia Trueba Alitalia - A bad team taken over by a bad manager with a disturbing lack of common sense.
Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport - New management with a lot of hype around it but nothing came from it.
New teams in general - Aside from Acuri, it is eerily realistic how they fare.
Third place:
Daniel Martins - He shamed the great #9 which has had so much meaning in F1RWRS history by doing nothing with it.
Second place:
Prospec - While their 2013 season was not gold standard either, this time around they really embarrassed themselves, depending on pay drivers and having their stars retiring or leaving.
And the winner:
Jack Christopherson - He did literally sod all in a car that was more than capable of points.

I'd like to nominate American Racing Conglomerate for Reject of the Year. A shortlist of things that have gone wrong in 2014:
1. An embezzlement scandal involving higher management.
2. Split from its parent company and lost total financial support.
3. Retired from several podiums and points positions due to mechanical issues.
4. Fredo Mestolio DNQ'd twice.
5. Went from 23 points in 2013 to 1 point in 2014.
6. Sacked their most competent driver (Collin Pratchett).
7. Team folds at the end of the year and is sold to Boxtel.

Plus, interesting to nominate your own driver, people always seem to care more about the second half of the season and not give a toss about the first half.

Indeed but I for my part never bought "You're only as good as your last race" - a season consists of all races which is why for example Nelson Piquet Jr. would have never gotten away from contention for my Reject Of The Year in 2008 even with Germany and Fuji working for him.

My nominees:
Real life Klon for nominating Scuderia Alitalia. Legacy issues can't be blamed on us and the continuing poor performance was expected as everything was being thrown at next year.
ARC for having no real direction, and while not being truly rejectful, not really having a medium term strategy for following seasons, meaning they will be nowhere next year.
Prospec; oh how the mighty have fallen.
Kay Lon for just generally being an arse.
Daniel Melrose, probably the biggest idiot in F1RWRS.

That means you are favoring the top teams.
The F1RWRS has been rigged to favour DGN for a long time now, it's no big deal.
No comment on that, but the truth is been rules have been modelled in the contrary way

Autosport wrote:Prince Falik delighted with non championship results.
In a rare moment, Prince Falik was delighted with Mirko Bosevic round win in the Budweiser World 800 and with Rosco Vantini and his shared 8th place at the Luxembourg GP. He said "I am delighted with the win, it does show that the Arrowtech for 2015 will be strong and we are hoping to massively improve, the money that Prince Saeed Al Faisal brings in as well as his talent and the talent of Bosevic should move us up the field. Rosco Vantini drove a conservative race but was rewarded with an 8th place, once he gets into the Jones car he will impress a lot more."
Rosco Vantini very happy.
After the Luxembourg GP, Rosco Vantini said "I am glad I was given a chance to race in a F1RWRS car it is much quicker and stops faster then a F2RWRS car, I think I will get more practice during winter testing. The race was a fun day out and I am glad I brought the car home in 8th, I am verry 'appy!"
Barii Mori questions experts
Barii Mori waded into the debate of the top ten drivers of the year by saying "What were these experts smoking as they must have been seeing a different race if they think Kay Lon was a top ten driver after being outdriven by his team mate and even not qualifying for a race. I scored more points then he did and I get something on the lines of "Did not improve", I seriously question what these experts are on."
Mecha racing using old DGNerring cars?
There were eyebrows raised when Mecha stormed to 3rd and 4th in the Luxembourg GP, although our eagle eyed journalists noticed that they were not using their normal cars and the cars did look like DGNerring cars painted as Mecha cars. DGN and Mecha refused to answer our questions.

Noticing that Jack Christopherson has a ROTY nomination, if he does win the coveted title, who gets the credits associated with it?

I assume it's either the team he drove for or the member who controls him, which will most likely go to the team that member also controls. Bit hazy innit.

If Christopherson wins, I think Foxdale should get half the original amount of the ROTY award, considering he did exactly half the season for them and did not drive elsewhere afterwards.

This is what I wanted, but I wanted somebody else to suggest it so I didn't sound too selfish!

dr-baker wrote:Foxdale Auto Racing Team Press Release
Okay, so I see that the team is now Foxdale Auto Racing Team Featuring West Cliff Racing, but does the F1RWRS team entry retain the name Foxdale Auto Racing Team, or does it have the West Cliff bit added on too?
Also, would you like me to do you a slightly nicer livery, retaining the same scheme of course, but with a bit more detail?

Re: F1RWRS -- 2014 - Onwards
I still think HRT is in the running for ROTR for an absolutely stunning fall from grace, but since if I recall, last season Aerond wasn't happy with us nominating ourselves, I think I'll go:
3. Jack Christopherson (saved from 1st by Indy)
2. MRT
1. Shonan DMS Racing (I maintain that they would have come closer to making a race if Shizuka had kept driving)
3. Jack Christopherson (saved from 1st by Indy)

Reject of the Year
Honourable (spelt with a U) mentions
GRM - Did absolutely nothing of note past Francd
Rhys Davies - I still can't get over that DNQ in Japan
HRT - Finished behind GRM
Phoenix McAllister - No points, and so far the only team owner to sack himself due to underwhelming performance
Jack Christopherson - Retired often but shouldn't be entirely to blame
Matthias Valsattis - Slow!
Daniel Martins - Aside from Non-Championship races, erratic
Foxdale - Unreliable
MRT - Unreliable
ARC - An organizational mess, to say the least
Prospec - Very slow
Kay Lon - Accepted drive for said team (Seriously, why?)
Mecha - How could I forget this team? Very slow.
But the top three:
3. Andrea Acuri - Led his team to be a financial ruin, got bought out by The Fox, is desperately slow and when he did start he wasn't careful with the car. Would have been #1 had he not raised Mignolet to be a great driver.
2. Shonan - No race starts, and never got to improve on the car. Shizuka led himself to complete anonymity.
1. Tropico - No race starts, and never got to improve on the car. Is completely anonymous, the owner is crazy, and they fired their lead driver only to hire him back for the beginning of the season. And hiring a 70-something year old driver wasn't too bright either considering the circumstances.
