Re: The Totally Ripper/Bonza V8 Supercar Thread.
As a young fella, I used to watch it heaps, back in the days when Lowndes was a young chap, Brockie, Seton, Dick and Perkins were still around. For the last 5-10 years slighly off the boil, didnt know who went where, or where there at etc. I would watch the majority of Bathurst and Sandown.
But this year, im a bit more interested. For the first time, I was actually so fascinated about the race yesterday, and with the circumstances, brought that great great battle, expecially the last few laps.
Im a Holden fan, but what a finish that was!

Miserable Thierry (Boutsen) staggers round mostly on ten cylinders (out of 12) with no clutch, low oil pressure, bad brakes and no grip to finish tenth, 3 laps down...
(Murray Walkers review of Boutsen's Brazil 1991 race).

I'm watching highlights of V8 Development Series at Barbagallo. Even though Nick Percat is a bit rubbish in the wet, his car looks pretty neat.

Greg Murphy's out for the next 4 rounds
He'll be back at Bathurst for sure because he always does ridiculously well there. Whether he'll make it to Sandown however is an entirely different story

Seriously though, if Casey Stoner wants to switch to the V8s in the future, he might as well give it a shot now as Yamaha are probably on their way to the title already

I'm actually having a hard time trying to figure out who would have the money to sponsor the team, especially since one could safely assume the amount would have increased substantially when Ford decided that not giving manufacturer support to their most competitive team was a good idea. FPR may have finally picked up the ball this year but they're the most inconsistent of all the top runners. Actually, HRT are probably doing a much better job of throwing the titles yet again this year once I think about it
![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
EDIT: At least we don't have to live with those god-awful red and silver liveries after this year.

I was thinking along those lines, as Monster sponsor Pye in the DVS. Other than that, Red Bull Racing anyone?
