Can I put myself on the reserve list?

I assume Tantovich will return for Fuji?
Reject of the Race goes to Thomas Butler's transmission, as he was running in the top 4 for the whole race until it failed.

Is your technical director Noel 'Bonehead' Arthurs?
Anyway, I liked Pasta's idea of a longer race at Fuji so after I've installed the track I'll test the amount of laps so we don't have a mass-retirement session. I'm convinced it was fuel loads last time, so I'll see if 35-40% yields perhaps 1 pitstop or something...

Right, sit-rep on the next couple of coming races.
For Fuji, I've tweaked the settings and all the cars SHOULD stop at about 1/2 distance. Qualifying will be up soon, then the race will be run sometime this evening.
Then I'll run Adelaide next week just so we can begin the season; this is when perfs actually begin to change so that the season begins to take some structure over time. After Adelaide, give me a week or so to prepare for the next race as I'm off to uni and need a bit of time to settle in, get internet connection and enjoy the (potential) liver-destroyer of Freshers' week.
Then I'll carry on with the season, I'll try and keep in step with the other series.

After Ekdal passed him, he had a few slow laps and this pushed him back towards Kurniawan and the Rosenforth cars which just muscled past. The straight lost him some time too.

Yeah, he got a little swamped at the start and got caught up when Nakaya and Reith locked up before the first corner.
I'll reveal ROTR now:
Benoit Voeckler gets it by a country mile. He drove, well, like a dick.

Reject of the Cup:
3rd - Foster's Good Call Racing - Pacer usually qualified well but slipped down the field on a regular basis. Tantovich and Bianchi didn't even sort the qualifying part, and subsequently only Pacer could score. But he still managed only two points. By far the lowest-placed pair using Opel engines.
2nd - Stan Frankham - Although Kingfisher were largely disappointing, this was distorted as Butler's transmission failed whilst in 4th at Motegi. Frankham never qualified near his team-mate, and thus finished last in the Championship. He also ended up with a suspended penalty after an accident with Alexis Tantovich.
1st - Benoit Voeckler - Even though Frankham finished last, he didn't necessarily have the car to do more. Scuderia Alitalia's cars were well-prepared and led Ekdal to win the championship. However, Voeckler was poor. He was outqualified by his teammate in each race, and despite qualifying 8th at Motegi he still couldn't finish higher than 14th. Ekdal won that race. When you're outscored 36-0, you wouldn't expect anything less than ROTC.

Potential changes:
As the posting of the last race took about 90% less time than Round 1, races at Imola, Paul Ricard, Brno, Donington and Zandvoort have been nominated to include sprint races as they support the fewest number of categories and thus have the time to realistically run two races. Unless a grid tool exists, two rounds of qualifying will be run for these events.
All future Winter Cups will have two races at each round.
At the end of the season, any drivers who have been released from a contract has the chance to enter an 'exit trial', hoping to impress future employers. This will probably be run at Barcelona.
