Diego Alvarez Torrente has officially won the 2016 F2RWRS championship, as he has a 25 point lead over Carter Simpson with a maximum of 24 points on offer at Tropico. Also, as a result of various on-track incidents both here and at other events, Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen has been banned from the first Tropico race, while Marcel Ageymang-Badu has been banned from both Tropico races. RonDen Racing Engineering and Scuderia Alitalia are to nominate respective replacements as soon as possible. Finally, Marko Jantscher has completed his race ban, and will be free to return for Tropico.
