Didn't Nathanael Spencer win that award?

Not exactly; teams earn credits by scoring points, winning races and for final classification, pole positions and fastest laps are useful, as well as ROTR and ROTY awards. Then there´s TV Money which guarantees a minimum income for every team, with the slower teams earning more than top teams to equalise things a bit.
Last but not least, PreQ teams earn a bit more as well through PreQ cup.

Is this before end of season prize money is given out? Or after?

Aerond wrote:No, those were just my suggestions as to who should be ROTY. IMHO neither Shonan or Tropico or Mecha should be ROTY, why? Very simple, these teams did the best they could with the resources at their disposal; in fact Tropico jumped ahead and sure will jump again next season. Now I´ll take into account your nominations and will elaborate the Top 3 ROTY.

I agree with your assessment on Tropico and Shonan. Mecha on the other hand have done everything in their power to be in contention with their second-half implosion

IMHO Remindergate, the Al Faisal lawsuit, and sacking all senior personnel in conjunction with the poor performance IMHO gives them a solid Reject of the Year nomination

Exactly. And if we all think about it, it all wasn't that controversial was it? If we were awarding it based on that, Alitalia would walk away with it, maybe followed in second by Jones!

I have to disagree with you there - who is the Best In The World™ at creating controversy?

I can haz ROTY money nao?
Shizuka wrote:So Shonan has 260, will get 10 from the PreQ cup (...for scoring nothing!), so that's 270 plus the TV money.
Should be enough for a chassis replacement.

Kamaha have offered out of work driver Jesus Plaza a contract as reserve driver for the Kamaha team, if he accepts then Kamaha will easily set the record of team with the most number of starts between the drivers without a race win. Amazingly this number will be more then all the other teams drivers combined.

Why this kid doesn't have a race drive for 2015 yet muppets like Darren Older Jr do is a crime against humanity.

I would have tried to sign him for Autodynamics but I needed a pay driver.

Isn't Plaza a pay-driver?

Oh yeah, forgot about that. 280 plus TV money - has to be enough for a chassis.

The Jordan 191's ridiculously overpriced. Then again, the price for half the components on the list have no correlation to their actual stats relative to everything else.
Seriously though, with that amount of money, not only can you get yourself a half-decent chassis but you can upgrade to the IV Spec Ford HB as well.
Speaking of Ford, I kinda like the fact that they supplied eight teams on the grid for 2014. Brings back the glory days of 80s and 90s F1 where virtually every privateer team had either a Ford, a Hart or a Judd engine. Man, we need more Hart and Judd engines just for the hell of it
