Daniel Melrose wrote:YES!!! Words cannot describe how that feels. When it started raining Douglas and I made the call to go to inters while Jack and Damon stayed out thinking it would be a passing shower. The rain kept going for a while so it ended up as a two horse race for the crown. I feel sorry for Douglas since he came within a tenth of winning the championship but even so this is a wonderful achievement for me.
Also I'ld like to confirm that I'm staying on at Jordan next season while we're ditching the Peugeot engines for Renault powerplants.

Yes! YES! What a nice bounce back, resulting in fifth in WDC and 4th in WCC! I was so afraid of this race, but I concentrated on to avoiding everyone. I don't know what happened to Damon - he passed me with like... 6 laps to go, and a few turns later he did a 360° spin
Best of luck to James in life, and welcome aboard Daniel Martins and Honda!
Also, congratulations to Mr. Melrose - the Jordan 197 was simply a brilliant design.

He went down the inside of Pippa at that hairpin, only to lose control and bash into her car, taking both off. Big congratulations to Daniel Melrose for being the first ever F1CC champion, proving that consistancy will bring you sucess.
As for 1998, I hear that John Barnard has moved to Danka Arrows, and is designing an advanced new car for next season. There's also rumours that our performance has potentially attracted none other than BMW as a potential engine supplier. So, I shall be staying at Arrows for another year.

New rules, new regulations, I think everybody will be back at square one. My aim will be to get podiums, and perhaps a victory or two, I think it's achievable. I've also heard from Alain that we have a new Renault engine deal, and hopefully, this will be able to boost our performance.

I think I should explain how the RP system works.
Last season, all drivers had 2.0 to each of their stats, and all the teams had the same HDV files, with minor differences, just for the realism. This season, the RCD files for the drivers will be carried over from last season, with minor edits. Everytime your RP, a minimum of .1 gets negated from a random stat in your RCD file. The maximum can vary, but I rarely give anything more than 0.2. If two people RP a serious accident, for example Roda and Cannon, I might add a minimum of .2 to one or two stats, to simulate an injury. Even if it's a minor accident, I might add .1 to a stat or two. If you RP as a wet weather warrior, or a qualifying master, however, it is more likely that in the beginning I will negate some marks for RainAbility and QualifyingAbility. If you go overboard with what you say you are, though, I will only pick out one or two things. The point is, you pave your own destiny. All engines will vary in power and reliability. The base files are from CTDP 2004, but I've modified them a tad bit to go in conjunction with the events of the previous F1CC season. Car HDV files depend on many factors. If team drivers RP that they are expecting some upgrades at a race, then the stats will be improved a bit, maybe. If a team has a clear number 1 driver, then the difference in numbers can be huge. RP absolutely anything you want, I'll find a way to implement it.
Just remember, though, that just because you RP fantastically every single time, doesn't mean you'll get huge bonuses. I know where to limit them!
Have fun,
F1CC Management (AKA Jeroen K)
