Valsattis:
I'm delighted to score another points finish here at Germany. The race was pretty good throughout, and I spent most of the race trying to keep the engine from exploding again. Rumours have started about me moving further up the grid, but at this time all I can say is I'm flattered with the interest being shown in me.

Minardi press release:
We are delighted to see Miko score a point in today's German Grand Prix. He had been very consistent all weekend and the point is a reward for his hard work all season long. We will look to build on this and hope to close the gap to the midfield by the end of the year.

I just don't know

Seriously, when is Stewart going to finish a race?

Also, Moreno has been celebrating all day. He'll be very busy for the next day or two, and will be unable to talk to the media.
Actually, it's because I have to go somewhere soon

Review:
Tom Douglas wins the race after both Daniel Moreno and James Davies threw away sure chances of victory.

Positives:
Tom Douglas: Fortune is back on Tom Douglas' side! Tom Douglas was not the fastest driver on track but he was able to outlast Moreno and Davies. Not much else to say.

Damon Cannon: Cannon beat a Williams on sheer pace! In a Jordan! What a drive!

Rory McAllister: See McLaren in the negatives.

Pablo da Silva: Another solid drive from da Silva.

Stewart: Both cars finished the race for the first time this year (I think)! And Fleet convincingly outpaced both DAMS drivers this weekend. It wasn't without drama though; Fleet had a big spin midway through the race and van der Maeyede had to pit with a throttle problem.

Negatives:
McLaren: (bangs head against wall) How many more times will McLaren throw away valuable points? James Davies is leading the race and needs to win to rescue his championship challenge? Transmission failure! Rory McAllister is having the race of his life and is in second on merit? Suspension failure with three laps to go! Don't take that Williams job Rory. You will regret it.

Daniel Moreno: Daniel Moreno spun off on Lap 12 and dropped a lap down. Although Moreno pulled a "Vettel" and made his way back up to fourth, he squandered whatever advantage he had built in the last race.

Kazuhiko Takagi: Takagi's points streak ended in an inglorious, anonymous race. He was behind da Silva and Leonhard von Gottorp.

Jorg Scrattenheim: Multiple spins, a broken front wing and a disappointing tenth place.

Mugen-Honda: Once again, the engine robbed Ligier of a certain top five finish for Valsattis. Valsattis has consistently proven that he can put that Ligier in the points, which is more than Benetton can say.

Benetton:

Reject of the Race goes to Arrows.

Leaders:
James Davies: 1-2
Daniel Moreno: 3-11
James Davies: 12-16
Tom Douglas: 17
James Davies: 18-20
Tom Douglas: 21-

Image

Penalties:
+2 to Anton Kaliniczenko for blocking John Zimmer and unlapping himself in a yellow flag zone
+1 to Jan van der Maeyede for blocking Tom Douglas
+2 to Jorg Scrattenheim for unsafe entry and parking his car in a dangerous position

Drivers' Championship
1. Daniel Moreno - 59
2. Tom Douglas - 56
3. Pieter Kickert - 38
4. James Davies - 26
5. Kazuhiko Takagi - 22
6 Damon Cannon - 20

Well, Jordan can alreaedy confirm that Von Gottorp is staying where he is and that we will continue to use Peugeot engines. From what our ... intelligence has told us there are some better teams interested in Cannon's services so for now we will not confirm him. Should the bigger teams fail to sign him, he is of course our main choice for the seat.

Well, Ligier certainly wants to keep Valsattis, at all costs, just stating the obvious. Even if this means i'll have to hire Anderson as a pay-driver.
While Ligier is interested in works Peugeot engines. If Peugeot doesn't want it, i guess we'll keep the free Mugen-Honda's. (might be interesting to see how the fast jordan would do with the horrible peugeots and the horrible prost with the fast mugens), alternatively, we're interested in the Mécachromes.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Stewart will use Cosworth engines for 1998. We will decide later on the drivers, though Ben Fleet was impressive.

Also, which carset for the 1998 season will be used?

I start off using Pieter's non-Tobacco carsets but I generally do a lot of editing to the values and import the new teams.

Gauthier will hire any driver who offers to match what Robert Anderson is currently bringing to the team. So long as they can prove they are faster. We are also interested in running customer Mercedes engines, should the option be available to us.
