Wow, that's uh, that's very effective. Not gonna panic yet, though, let's see how the race goes.

You have 800.000 left to spend for this quarter of the season.
After the end of this race, we're spending all 800K of it on ground effect upgrades.

Hmmmm, can I arrange more than one test in between race weekends? If not, I'll just test 1 ground effects update.

Shame that Clay's clutch packed early. Bruno put some good laps and hold on 14. Not bad considering that Ensign only expend 150k on GE while the top teams use at leat 1.5M only for this race!
So, Ensign will toss 900k on ground effect

Average result. Hopefully the upgrades will push us up a bit, but I fear that we're going to have to rely on races of attrition to have a hope of good points.

Lauda didn't win the 1977 title, remember?

Also, awesome to see Pryce continuing to be awesome - he's already in a very strong position for the championship, hopefully he can keep this up. Shame about Hunt's clutch, but he's more than quick enough to make that up and still challenge for the title - he proved that last year.
Very surprising to see none of the Renaults blew up, as well - why can't they be this reliable in rFAF1?

The Renault is in fact the least reliable engine, but this time the Renault-powered teams were lucky.

Well, with us being crap so far, I guess we'll have to make a budget effort then... 900K on ground effects it is.

In a upgrade Merzario will remove the BRM enigne and replace it with a Ford Cosworth - 1977 Spec, for the rest of the year. Also they will spend 300K on ground effect and 300k on top speed

By the way, if anyone at the back of the grid is looking for a quick driver to fill in for a race or two, McLaren would be willing to pay Danny Ongais' salary for them. His pace has been comparable to that of Pryce and Hunt's.

1.2 mln on ground effect for Arrows, please!
BTW with that random factor, will it be divided into 4 packs of 300k or just one at 1.2 mln?

So good that, in an alternate universe, when he got sacked and replaced by a Voeckler (!!!), in one race said Voeckler got a better result than Henton had all season?

You can only arrange one test between two weekends, but you can also buy some additional untested updates. On which track do you want to test the update, and which drivers willrun during the test?

We'll test the ground effects at Thruxton (or Brands Hatch if that's not acceptable), with Hunt, Pryce, and Ongais driving.

Thruxton is acceptable, however, it's difficult for me to estimate how fast a late 70s F1 car would have been there, so I'd prefer Brands Hatch.

Excellent. Pryce is really coming into his own this season.

Come on, attrition, do your stuff! Except to us! Sure, we spent nothing on reliability, but pleeeaaase?

No thanks, Brian Henton is the best driver in the world
Very well, but the offer's still on the table if you - or anyone else - change their mind.
Well, it would be a good way of cost-cutting if he drives for free. This saves me like 50000 or so (which will be just enough to design some new gurney flap )
I don't know what i want and i want it now!
Re: 1978 Virtual F1 - Brazil race up!
It seems that our upgrade, which uses the ground effect for the first time in our car rationally, is really working well. Let's hope for a good race and both our drivers finish in the points. This is our aim for now.
To finish first, first you have to finish!
