Changes for Chevy before US West

Because of the upcoming GT-R round of France, Ricardo Llosa won't be at the wheel of USD's Chevy SS for the ARST round of United States West on Road America. Instead, another USD youngster, Matteo Vasquez will drive the #01 Chevrolet. Albert Hoist, Team Manager of USD ARST Team add, "While Ricardo has been a solid asset in the develpment of the SS, he's still driving for the GT-R operation, seeking his and the team's second crown. On the other hand, Matteo Vasquez, having endured a difficult rookie season at AR Indy, is hungry to prove he's ready for bigger things while he and the whole USD AR Indy operation waits for the govern officials' answer."

Chevy's Development Program Extended

After the results on USA, General Motors, alongside Union Saver Developments, have decided to extend the run of the Chevy SS on ARST, in advance for next season and possible manufacturer main team. Albert Hoist, Team Manager of USD ARST Team add, "The car has a solid base, and the results in both USA races proved that it can be a championship contender if it's development continues."
Union Saver Developments have made public his intention of running a second SS (#02) and it's drivers for the next races, except Japan, to avoid logistic nightmares with ARST government body:

Round of Belgium: Matteo Vasquez (01) and Hayato Kazami (02)

It is now confirmed, Alfa Corse will make a full time return in touring cars, the italian brand has decided to buy out ICE-3 Racing's AutoReject Super Touring team. A surprising move, as ICE-3 Racing was heavily rumored to run the Alfa 155 v6 Ti in next year's championship, becoming Alfa Romeo's works team in the process. However, a poor season from the german team decided against this plan. Alfa Corse was just unsatisfied with being only a privateer team but felt it was needed to check the car's performances. The buy-out also means that ICE-3 Racing will start running Alfa 155 v6 Ti cars in Italy until the end of the season, when the team will become Alfa Corse at the start of 2018. Luca Pacchiarini will also replace Mathilde Thybes in the drivers pairing. Francesco Fagioli is supposed to stay, forming a full italian line-up, but might have to give way to another driver if his performances do not improve before the Belgian round.

Scorpio Racing, the entity continuing on from the 2-time RTCC Team's Champions Davies Racing Team, have announced that they are the latest team to field a car in the Privateer's Cup. The car, numbered #000, will be for their most recent addition to their ARGTi team, Sandra Cessler - the former RTSS racer who has already been turning some heads in a recent test session to help her get more familiar with the car. It will further the partnership between Scorpio and Twitch.tv, the internet streaming service which already sponsors Scorpio's part-time entry in GTR-WC. This announcement has thrown the speculations of Scorpio's 2018 lineup into the air - with their lead driver, 2-times RTCC champion Paul Jenkins, struggling heavily to acclimitise to the demands of the much more powerful ARST regulations already fueling rumours that the Brit may leave to instead spearhead Scorpio's nascent GTR-WC operation. The team was rumoured to be looking at Privateer's Cup drivers Kieth Remedios and Lasse Tilkesson, after junior driver Jonas Soderstrom was let go in order to pursue other options back in June.

The team has denied rumours that they are evaluating Cessler for a drive with their mainline ARST team, but have stated that they may run the car for 2018 in partnership with ARGTi to give ARST experience to promising junior drivers.


The #000 Scorpio was unveiled as part of the announcement, with significant backing from Twitch, Electronic Arts, and Microsoft.

I am extending the deadline to the end of this year. There are a couple of reasons for this - first, in my last warning, I apparently forgot that Honda, Triumph, and Dacia had not submitted upgrades, and second, takagi has left the PMMF for the time being, so I will offer the BMW manufacturer status to CaptainGetz, since he already has a Championship team. Should he refuse, then it will be offered to one of the full-time Privateer teams running BMWs.
