Here's one in my current location of Coventry, slap bang in the middle of the city centre!

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4135493

Highlights include using part of the ring road, the figure of 8 layout, and running through Broadgate which is surrounded by shops and the statue of Lady Godiva...!

The entire route is at least two lanes wide, some wider and with a bit of work on traffic islands, I think F1 could quite comfortably squeeze a race in!

The start/finish runs along Jordan Well, after the bridge carrying the ring road and the track! Oh and the course runs anti-clockwise. I might put some more effort into this to see if I can make it work a bit more convincingly (though keeping the course the same)

What do people think? New challenger to Monaco and Singapore perhaps?!

Here's one I made from the university I go to. Plenty of turns and a nice long straight. I thought about cutting the straight but that made it seem too mickey-mouse'ish.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4136352

This one is from where I used to live; Richmond, VA.

This is mine in the downtown of the city where I live. Start/finish line would be on the Athinay road.

Always did think it was funny that High St in Kingston doesn't really have any shops on it.

You're right. Didn't really realise that before, mostly because I had little reason to go down there unless I fancied a stroll along the riverbank - quite charming in summer.

It has been built! :)

the virtual track for Gtr2 and GTL, set in my hometown Empoli, has been released for GTR2 and GTL... will be converted to GTREvo and Rfactor later.

I designed the layout.

Just downloaded it - have to go to university now, though. Very much looking forward to driving there in the evening - really like the bicycle-track story behind this circuit design, too! 8-)

This would be a great track to host the first Finnish GP. Although it is too bloody fast for FIA regulations I reckon

This is where I went in my Freshman year in College; a little university called Alfred University. Its population is 2000, the town itself at 800. Plenty of elevation change at this track (which takes place at both Alfred University and SUNI Alfred across the street), 2 tight hairpins, and features a nice long straight. Pitlane and Start-Finish would be at State Street, and this track would be run Anti-Clockwise.

I reckon a circuit around the area where I live would not be suitable for an F1 game, Grand Theft Auto perhaps.

Dude, if you're that close to Watkins Glen, you may as well use it.

Oh right.

Completely forgot about that circuit (when I was making this one).

That said, the north hairpin is much like the Loews Hairpin at Monaco with even more elevation. Would love to see an F1 car go through that.

If that is anti-clockwise, then the first bend, just after point 9, would be epic!

Oddly enough, it IS anti-clockwise.

Point 1 looks an awful lot like Eau Rouge. Don't you agree?

It does rather. But Eau Rouge doesn't have another tight corner immediately proceeding it!

Another street circuit, this time in a country that desperately needs a GP: Mongolia.

Who can resist the blast through a coal powerplant or awkward hairpins?

How could no one not do a Vanuatu GP?

Here is my 8km street circuit around the streets of Port Vila with highlights including a blast past the paliment building and the hospital.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4206249

Also a Vatican City street circuit... which goes anti clockwise, but it is only a 2km circuit and as Martin Brundle would say it's a bit mickey mouse but there are a few straights and a tricky first couple of corners.

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4206628

Edit: Made another one which is 2.6km and has more straights.
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4206796

And another which is 2.95km
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4206807

Or how about a 5km Andorian GP?

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4206638

How about this for a Vatican GP? 3.1 miles, so close to a normal GP track length (5 km) and it goes all the way around the perimater without ever going into the country!

Here's one for my hometown. The Pensacola Grand Prix. A few sraits here and there, but it does require going over an interstate overpass, and some railroad tracks. Which is why I put the chicane to slow the cars down a bit. Then you get a great view of Pensacola Bay in the last quarter of the street circuit.

If you are wondering why I didn't post any feedback - I only realized after downoading, that this wasn't an rFactor track by design. Have been looking for a conversion a few times, but didn't seem to find one. Is it already available somewhere?

Another Manx one from me. The Mnax TT track really wouldn't pass FIA inspections and really is too long. But this might be plausible, and aided by having an airfield on the infield, just like Silverstone - plenty of room for a paddock etc. Just needs the roads to be resurfaced and anything else that street tracks need to get to FIA F1 standard. And the island has enough hotel infrastructure - enough for the annual TT and Manx Rally in any case...

Ahh Jurby! The road goes over the airfield at one point doesn't it? I also seem to remember it being rather flat up there...

The run from Stuppacher to Deletraz reminds me of the first bit of Macau and the infield seems to be a mix of Istanbul and Imola IMO.
