Kamui Kobayashi What a weekend to be unrejectified! So close to the podium as all top 3 managed to avoid the Sutil/Alguersuari/Petrov carnage. I won't list him as IIDOTR again until he's on the podium.

Adrian Sutil After that crash I thought he definitely had to retire, yet he managed to bring the car home @ P7. Great job holding up Kamui for so many laps. Beat his teammate at last.

Honourable mention to Williams for a leap in performance after 5 point-less races. I sure hope this wasn't just a fluke.

1) Reverend Maldonado

I can't seem to nominate a second person this time around. Kobayashi is obviously going to capture our hearts at every race, so no point in nominating him. The award may as well be renamed as The Kamui Kobayashi Trophy (TKKT).

1. Pastor Maldonado: Embarrassed his vastly more experienced teammate again and should have scored a good helping of points if it wasn't for that bumbling idiot in a McLaren
2. Kamui Kobayashi: To run 4th in the closing stages and finish 5th in a car that has no right to be there is a great achievement. Or, to put it simply, KOBAYASHI KAMUI UNREJECTIFIAAAAAAAAA!

Maldonado: Fast all weekend and could of finished 6th if not for Hamilton's patehic driving

Kobayashi: Kept Webber at bay for much of the GP and made a clumsby, but still good move on Suti....

I would like to see Kobayashi getting a chance in a quick car, but sadly I expect that Helmut Marko would not want to risk bringing in a driver who might steal Vettel's limelight - Vettel is their advertising talisman, and the focus of their attention right now.

However, I think that I'd like to suggest something different - Team Lotus, since I think that their efforts went slightly under the radar in all the confusion. After all, both drivers outqualified Alguersuari on merit this weekend (Alguersuari didn't have any problems in qualifying, as far as I am aware), and all through this weekend they had been right on the edge of the midfield pack. OK, they fell back slightly in the race, but even so, this was a stronger showing by their standards - particularly Trulli, who has, unusually, struggled in qualifying but succeeded in beating Heikki during the race. Hell, at one point Trulli was ahead of Di Resta and Alguersuari on the road, though the former managed to pass him whilst the other made his way through via pit stop strategy - but Trulli still matched Team Lotus's best finish this season.

Continuing on the spirit of nominating the teams, I'd have to say Williams too seem to have finally started getting their act together. Even though he ended up in the barriers in a controversial circumstances, Maldonado was on surprisingly good form here (given the relative performance of the FW33 in recent races). That said, even though he was beaten by Maldonado, Barrichello, though, did finish and finally gave the teams a points finish - which was crucial, since it has now moved Williams from behind to in front of Team Lotus.

Jenson Button: I hadn't imagined him to be the fastest in the race. Woah!

McLaren strategy: Ok, they were terribly unlucky with the SC, but they had the winning strategy when you see strategy + speed. Brilliant!

i'm really getting tired of being impressed by kobayashi so it's going to sauber as a whole, i think perez could have done equally, he was in good form
if sauber could make more of its qualifying pace, they could well score a podium or two this season
and the pastor doing in what i knew whas possible but feared wouldn't happen because of williams mediocrity
Good performance as usual from sutil too, but he always seem te be involved in crashes that aren't entirely his fault. Has he implanted a magnet in his body or something?

Looking just at the final classification i must say Kobayashi, again.

But, as an honorable mention, I came to know that Maldonado wandered in positions nobody thought he could...

Wait, hang on. Kobayashi unrejectified himself? I thought it was one 1st, or 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th, two 5ths or three 6ths that unreejctified you. That's why I was pissed when Webber passed him ,tihnking that he wasn't going to unrejectify himself. GOOOOO KOBAYASHI!!!!!!!!

So, yeah, my IIDOTR goes to Maldonado. Brilliant drive, putting that Williams where it shouldn't be, putting Williams back in form and on a good track. And he'd have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids and that dog at McLaren.

Second is to Kamui. I was stumped to see him running 4th. Hope to see more from him ,and hopefully he can replace Vettel at Red Bull for next year.

He has two 6ths from last year. Plus the 5th = 4 points. So he's no longer a reject. You need more than 2 points using the 1st-6th scoring system.

Just think if it as he got three 6th but the last one happened to be 5th.

Perfect reasons for that.

Sutil-After the controversy off track, staying in the points all race long (4th mostly) before the minor tap by Kobayashi made him lose ground. He definitely could have remained 4th, maybe 5th.

1. Kobayashi- a true example of how to get a midfield car to outperform superior teams. What a drive.
2. Vettel's tyres, and Vettel for keeping it on the road under immense pressure

Would've been Pastor Maldonado but for the disaster.

Kamui now definitely never featuring on this site as a reject has made my day.
