Villeneuve it is!

Thus now only 1 vote now seperates, JV from Laffite. 1 vote also seperates Keke Rosberg and Jack Brabham. The other matches look done but nothing is set and stone and upsets can happen, Just ask Federer!

Round 1, Bracket 2: The Williams Bracket

It has been nearly 24 hours since the last vote so I believe now is the time to move on and begin the 8 matches of the Williams bracket. But first the Results of The opening matches of the Ferrari Bracket.

1.Michael Schumacher defeats WC9.Jean Alesi 8-1
32.Jenson Button defeats 33.Denny Hulme 8-1
48.Keke Rosberg defeats 17.Jack Brabham 5-4
16.Lewis Hamilton defeats 49.Michele Alboreto 9-0
9.Juan Manuel Fangio defeats WC5.Francois Cervert 8-0
41.Gilles Villeneuve defeats 21.Alan Jones 8-1
40.Jacques Laffite defeats 25.Jacques Villeneueve 5-4
8.Niki Lauda defeats WC12. Pierluigi Martini 8-1

Schumacher comftably makes it in to round 2, with Button, Hamilton, Fangio and Lauda also easily through. However Round 1 has already caused some upsets with Jack Brabham and Jacques Villeneuve falling at the first hurdle in very close encounters, Alan Jones is also sent packing but his encounter was not so much close but more a demolition!

On to the 2nd bracket, "The Williams Bracket." Lead by number 4 seed Nigel Mansell who has been drawn against Didier Pironi for his first round encounter. If picking a winner in the first bracket was difficult then prepare for this one! Jody Scheckter takes on Juan pablo Montoya, Ronnie Peterson takes on Tony Brooks and Alberto Ascari takes on Nino Farina in a match up straight from the 50's! However my Pick of the bracket is a battle between former Red Bull team mates David Coulthard and Mark Webber. Webber perhaps had the beating of Coulthard when the were in the same team however Coulthard was in the twilight of his career and has the better win record. It is very tight to call overall who is best though!

Due to popular request the category for this bracket has changed and the random draw has declared that Category 3: "Best Wet Weather driver" has been called.

So the topic of focus is Wet Weather driving, if you do not know how well a driver performs in the wet (i.e Ascari vs Farina I have no idea how they drove in the wet conditions!) then simply vote on who you believe is the best driver.

The Draw in full:

4.Nigel Mansell vs WC8.Didier Pironi
Moustached Brumi vs Suave Frenchman
29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
South Africa's Champion vs Collumbia's hero
20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Italy's Last Champion vs Italy's First
13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
The Iceman vs the Ulsterman
12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
The Icemanx2 vs Mr unlucky
21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber [Shadaza's match of the bracket]
Mr McLaren man vs F1 journey man
28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
Super Swede vs Britain's first GP race winner
5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Tyrell driver vs Tyrell Driver

Topic: Wet Weather Driving

Number of "Williams" Drivers in the Bracket:4/16
Highest Seed knocked out: 17.Jack Brabham
Highest Seed knocked out in Round 1: 17.Jack Brabham
Number of Wildcards left: 9/12
Number of "Upsets":3/8
WD Champions Knocked out:4

Bonus Question: Should I show statistics like the ones seen above? (a) Yes, It works as a nice summary (b) No, It clutters up the post too much.

Hah, I can't believe Keke won!! He will win this whole thing mark my words.

4.Nigel Mansell vs WC8.Didier Pironi
Pironi for me.

29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
Close one but have to go with Scheckter.

20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Ascari

13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
Raikkonen by far.

12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
Hakkinen.

21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber
Coulthard.

28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
Peterson.

5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Sir Jackie.

4.Nigel Mansell vs WC8.Didier Pironi
Moustached Brumi vs Suave Frenchman
Not sure about Pironi's wet weather skills, so I'll vote for who's the overall best. I believe Nigel Mansell edges it here.

29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
South Africa's Champion vs Collumbia's hero
Again, I have no idea of Scheckter's wet weather driving, so going by virtue of the better driver, I have to say Jody Scheckter is in my opinion the better all-round driver.

20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Italy's Last Champion vs Italy's First
Ditto the two above - I'd say Alberto Ascari was the better driver.

13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
The Iceman vs the Ulsterman
Neither driver is what I'd call a rain-master, but I think Kimi Raikkonen handled wet conditions better.

12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
The Icemanx2 vs Mr unlucky
Mika Hakkinen, I believe, is the better here.

21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber [Shadaza's match of the bracket]
Mr McLaren man vs F1 journey man
I recall Webber being known as a top driver in the wet - certainly his performances in the rain in 2007 at the Nurburgring and Fuji overshadow anything Coulthard did in my mind, so it's Mark Webber for me.

28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
Super Swede vs Britain's first GP race winner
Leaning towards Ronnie Peterson here.

5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Tyrell driver vs Tyrell Driver
Jackie Stewart, it has to be.

Topic: Wet Weather Driving

Number of "Williams" Drivers in the Bracket:4/16

Mansell
29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
Sheckter, never really saw Montoya do too much in the rain.
20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Ascari
13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
Raikkonen
12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
Mika Hakkinen
21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber
Tough one, but I'll go with Webber.
28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
Ronnie Peterson
5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Has to be Jackie Stewart

4.Nigel Mansell vs WC8.Didier Pironi
I will go with Pironi. Mansell was never a wet weather specialist, but then he had to live with Senna and compared to him, no one is a wet weather driver.

29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
Scheckter, I guess.

20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Without knowing their prowess in the wet Ascari was the better driver so that must be it.

13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
Clearly Raikkonen.

12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
Hakkinen was rather good in the wet.

21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber
Webber heroics in the wet are still remembered. Coulthard was hit from behind by Schumacher while being lapped in the wet.

28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
An unknown. So I will say that Peterson was better overall.

5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Sir Jackie Stewart no doubt. That win in the Nurburgring must be one of the greatest victories of all time.

4.Nigel Mansell vs WC8.Didier Pironi
I will go with Pironi as as mentioned Mansell was slow compared to wet weather ace Senna.

29.Jody Scheckter vs 36.Juan Pablo Montoya
Scheckter, as JPM I personally can't remember when Montoya was good...

20.Alberto Ascari vs 45.Giuseppe "Nino" Farina
Er Ascari....

13.Kimi Raikkonen vs 52.Eddie Irvine
Just to buck the trend I shall go for Irvine if just for Japan 1994.

12.Mika Hakkinen vs WC7.Chris Amon
Hakkinen was reasonable in the wet although got beaten to points by Irvine at said Japan 1994 GP.

21.David Coulthard vs 44.Mark Webber
Webber as everyone remembers Schumachers Ferrari trying to mount Coulthards McLaren.

28.Ronnie Peterson vs 37.Tony Brooks
Peterson as I do not think Brooks scored any points at any wet race.

5.Jackie Stewart vs WC3.Stefan Bellof
Stewart as he won several wet races and said that you should win races in the slowest possible speed.

(a) Yes, It works as a nice summary

Round 1, Bracket 3: The McLaren Bracket

The Vote is now closed for the Williams bracket and this time there was only 1 upset as opposed to the 3 of the previous bracket, this upset was Webber beating Coulthard, but perhaps the biggest story of the Bracket was the large scare for Nigel Mansell who just scrapped past wild card Pironi by one vote!
The results in Full

4.Nigel Mansell defeats WC8.Didier Pironi 6-5
29.Jody Scheckter defeats 36.Juan Pablo Montoya 11-0
20.Alberto Ascari defeats 45.Nino Farina 11-0
13.Kimi Raikkonen defeats 52.Eddie Irvine 9-2
12.Mika Hakkinen defeats WC7.Chris Amon 11-0
44.Mark Webber defeats 21.David Coulthard 8-3
28.Ronnie Peterson defeats 37.Tony Brooks 11-0
5.Jackie Stewart defeats WC3.Stefan Bellof 10-1

On to the "McLaren Bracket", which is lead by number 2 seed Alain Prost who goes up against Mike Hawthorne. Fittingly for Bruce McLaren, he takes part in the Bracket which bares his name, he takes on perhaps McLaren racings biggest current "enemy" Sebastien Vettel. My pick of the matches goes to Carlos Reutemann vs Riccardo Patrese. Both men had long f1 careers, both had a reputation for being fast but erratic early in their careers and both became a safe pair of hands for Williams at the end of their careers!

And the topic for the bracket is, Category 1: Race Pace

So disregard qualifying pace and wet weather pace, the category is for who is simply the fastest come Sunday Afternoon

2.Alain Prost vs WC11.Mike Hawthorne
31.Gerhard Berger vs 34.Jacky Ickx
18.Graham Hill vs 47.John Watson
15.Sebastien Vettel vs 50.Bruce McLaren
10.Nelson Piquet vs WC6.Dereck Warwick
23.Carlos Reutemann vs 42.Riccardo Patrese [Shadaza's Match of the Bracket]
26.Rubens Barrichello vs Jochen Rindt

7.Jim Clark vs WC4.HWNSNBM

Topic: Race Pace

2.Alain Prost vs WC11.Mike Hawthorne
Has to be Alain Prost - he always focused on Sunday.

31.Gerhard Berger vs 34.Jacky Ickx
I think I'll go for Gerhard Berger.

18.Graham Hill vs 47.John Watson
Graham Hill.

15.Sebastien Vettel vs 50.Bruce McLaren
Vettel tends to do his work on Saturdays, but McLaren seemed to have a tendency to qualify on the 3rd or 4th row and race his way through the field. With that in mind, I'm going to cast my vote for Bruce McLaren.

10.Nelson Piquet vs WC6.Dereck Warwick
Have to go with Nelson Piquet.

23.Carlos Reutemann vs 42.Riccardo Patrese [Shadaza's Match of the Bracket]
Going with Carlos Reutemann here.

26.Rubens Barrichello vs Jochen Rindt
Jochen Rindt.

7.Jim Clark vs WC4.HWNSNBM
I can't do it. I can't not vote for Jim Clark.

2.Alain Prost vs WC11.Mike Hawthorne
Hawthorn was consistent, but never really quick, so I'll give it to Prost.

31.Gerhard Berger vs 34.Jacky Ickx
Berger was also a bit like Hawthorn in a way, so it's Ickx for me.

18.Graham Hill vs 47.John Watson
Watson has a couple of great drives from the back of the field, so my vote goes to him.

15.Sebastien Vettel vs 50.Bruce McLaren
For reasons already stated, Vettel is always quick in qualifying, pulls away in the first few laps, but then just watches everyone else shoot themselves in the foot, while McLaren produced many good drives from the midfield in cars with less of a performance advantage. Bruce gets my vote.

10.Nelson Piquet vs WC6.Dereck Warwick
Warwick was a very good driver, but he doesn't really stand out as a guy who was very fast. I'll give it to Piquet.

23.Carlos Reutemann vs 42.Riccardo Patrese [Shadaza's Match of the Bracket]
Reutemann may have been in very goos machinery all the time, but was almost always towards the front, and held the record for the most consecutive races in the points before Schumi came along. I'll go with Carlos here.

26.Rubens Barrichello vs Jochen Rindt
Definitely Jochen.

7.Jim Clark vs WC4.HWNSNBM
As much as I want to vote for our esteemed leader, I have to vote for the man with the greatest amount of Grand Chelems ever.

2.Alain Prost vs WC11.Mike Hawthorne
Clearly Prost. One of the best.

31.Gerhard Berger vs 34.Jacky Ickx
Berger never emerged as a real front runner so I will go with Ickx who almost won the WDC.

18.Graham Hill vs 47.John Watson
Graham Hill. He was WDC.

15.Sebastien Vettel vs 50.Bruce McLaren
Bruce McLaren. Vettel has more Poles than Wins so that says it all.

10.Nelson Piquet vs WC6.Dereck Warwick
Nelson Piquet.

23.Carlos Reutemann vs 42.Riccardo Patrese
Carlos Reutemann. Patrese was a reasonably quick, reliable albeit unspectacular driver.

26.Rubens Barrichello vs Jochen Rindt
Jochen.

7.Jim Clark vs WC4.HWNSNBM
HWNSNBM is better than everyone at everything. It all in this thread.[/quote]

EDIT: Just for the record, in this last tie, I have put forward my highly subjective perspective in favour of Jim Clark...

Them be the breaks i'm afraid.
But thanks to your vote I can now announce the results of the "McLaren" bracket.

Prost didn't have as many problems overcoming his Wild Card opponent as Mansell did, comftably winning 9-0 but there were a large number of upsets in this group, Jacky Ickx and Jochen Rindt (who should have been listed as seed 39) both caused upsets in defeating Barrichello and Berger but the biggest Surprise of the round was the defeat of the 2010 world champion Sebastian Vettel to Bruce Mclaren!
The result in full:
2.Alain Prost defeats WC11.Mike Hawthorne 9-0
34.Jacky Ickx defeats 31.Gerhard Berger 7-2
18.Graham Hill defeats 47.John Watson 7-2
50.Bruce McLaren defeats 15.Sebastian Vettel 5-4
10.Nelson Piquet defeats WC6.Dereck Warwick 9-0
23.Carlos Reutemann defeats 42.Riccardo Patrese 8-1
39.Jochen Rindt defeats 26.Rubens Barrichello 7-2
7.Jim Clark defeats HWNSNBM 6-3

Therfore we now move on to the final bracket and the last 8 matches of round 1, the "Lotus" bracket. The Lotus bracket is lead by Aryton Senna and he has been drawn against his great Formula 3 rival Martin Brundle. James Hunt claimed his draw was "Bulls**t" when he found out he was drawn against Rene Arnoux whilst a true legend of Mario Andretti faces a true legend's brother in Ralf Schumacher. My pick of the matches is Fernando Alonso vs Robert Kubica, On paper this should be a domination for the two times champion but Kubica is also regarded as among the best of the current crop of drivers and was the (joint) most popular choice as a wild card Driver for this competition.

The category drawn for this is category 4: Overtaking.
So the topic of focus is when the chips are down who would you depend on to make the killer pass?

The draw in full:

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazoni
14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
27.Fellipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
Shadaza's Pick of the Bracket

Topic:Overtaking

Lotus Drivers in Bracket 5/16 (Counting the DNS of Dan Gurney)
Highest Seed Knocked out: 15.Sebastian Vettel
Highest Seed Knocked out in round 1: 15.Sebastian Vettel
Number of Wildcards left: 3/12
Number of "upsets": 7
WDC knocked out: 7
"Scrape" victories:4

Bonus: For round 2 should I (a) continue to hold votes 1 bracket at a time meaning 4 matches at a time or (b) move to two brackets at a time meaning we continue with the normal 8 matches.

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
Clearly Senna. Many times it was move or crash, but his agressive style made any other driver look shy.

30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
James Hunt. You aren´t WDC without serious capabilities.

19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazoni
Emerson Fittipaldi

14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
Stirling Moss

11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
As much as I like Damon... Kobayashi is one of the great overtakers nowadays

22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
Ralf Schumacher; another driver who didn´t hesitate.

27.Fellipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
John Surtees

6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
Fernando Alonso

Selections in bold as per usual.

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
No contest!
30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazoni
14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
If anyone can, Sir Stirling can! He's only just retired!
11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
Goddamn it I love Damon but he was a pretty poor overtaker, except that pass on Schumi at Hungary 97.
22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
27.Fellipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
I think Bob is just more aggressive, more fighty than Fernando who would play a waiting game - after all he didn't put a move on Vettel before the race was stopped at Monaco!

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
Duh!

30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
I don't know about Hunt, but Arnoux was known more for holding people up.

19.Emerson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazzoni
As much as I view Emmo as a better driver, Clay was more of a fighter, always up for a good dice.

14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
I don't know much about their overtaking, so I went with who I thought was better overall.

11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
Damon was never good when it came to overtakes, so I'll go with the modern-day mastah.

22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
Andretti was more of a guy who ran off in the distance, but Ralf was never really good at overtaking. I'll give it to the more able driver.

27.Felipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
Surtees is more of an unknown factor, but I can't recall a good overtake by Felipe.

6.Fernando Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
Fernando is a good overtaker, but doesn't really try. Robert, on the other hand, always goes for it when he's actually got a good chance of making it through.

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
No question here. Senna.

30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
Arnoux gave us Dijon 79, so I give him victory here.

19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazzoni
Emerson Fittipaldi for being better overall.

14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
Stirling Moss for the same reasons as the previous.

11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
Clearly Kamui.

22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
Ralf was a bit average at everything really, so I will go with Andretti.

27.Felipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
John Surtees came from bikes so he surely knew how to go for a gap. Massa usually wins from pole.

6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
Fernando Alonso is well-known for relentless pressure to induce mistakes. Kubica overtakes.

Would it be okay if you could tell me which brackets will be facing each other in the semi-finals? It's just that I've downloaded a tournament spreadsheet, and I could fill it in with the results of this so far

3.Ayrton Senna vs WC2.Martin Brundle
No contest. Ayrton Senna, easily.

30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux
Not really sure about either Hunt or Arnoux as far as overtaking goes. I think I'll go with James Hunt.

19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazoni
Same as above. Going with Emerson Fittipaldi.

14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney
Stirling Moss.

11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi
Kamui Kobayashi. He is pretty much the reigning King of overtakes right now.

22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher
Mario Andretti.

27.Fellipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees
John Surtees.

6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica
I think Alonso relies more on intimidating his opponents into making a mistake, which works well except for when he comes up against someone who isn't affected that much by intimidation (e.g. Vitaly Petrov). Then it kind of goes wrong for him. Kubica, on the other hand, makes his move wherever and whenever he can, which has led to some unorthodox but nonetheless appreciated overtakes (His charge at Singapore and nailing Kobayashi on the outside at Abu Dhabi last year especially). I'd also add that I think defending from overtakes should fall into consideration here, and again Kubica stands out, having forced Hamilton to abort an overtake in Australia last year (probably stopping any chance of a 1-2 for McLaren there), holding off Hamilton again in Abu Dhabi, and would likely have done the same to Alonso at Silverstone, perhaps most notably, had Alonso not cut across the grass there.

Tl;dr, Robert Kubica gets my vote.

As for the bonus question, I'll answer (b).

Sure, the semi-finals would be, The winner of the "Ferrari" bracket vs the winner of the "Williams" bracket (Leaving "McLaren" vs "Lotus" the other.)

I used this website, http://www.printyourbrackets.com/64seeded.html , to create the seeded draw.
Ferrari is the top left, Williams bottom left, Mclaren top right, Lotus bottom left.

It could be Aryton Senna vs Anyone, it could even be God and Senna would still win. You should have just given Senna a bye...

30.James Hunt vs 35.Rene Arnoux

James Hunt as although Arnoux led more laps then Hunt, I can't remember any passing laps...

19.Emersson Fittipaldi vs 46.Clay Regazoni

Fittipaldi as he did some fantastic moves in the awful Fittipaldi

14.Stirling Moss vs 51.Dan Gurney

Moss

11.Damon Hill vs WC7.Kamui Kobayashi

As if you needed to ask... Kobayashiiiiiiiii

22.Mario Andretti vs 43.Ralf Schumacher

Mario Andretti as Ralf tended to crash into people.

27.Fellipe Massa vs 38.John Surtees

Surtees as Massa has shown that he can't pass a paper bag at times, where as Surtees has shown extreme skill.

6.Fernado Alonso vs WC1.Robert Kubica Shadaza's Pick of the Bracket

Kubica, no contest.

And thats the end of round 1!
Welcome too the: "Ultimate F1 Driver Vote Contest!" Round 2, "Ferrari" and "Williams" Brackets.
But first the resilts of the Lotus bracket. The Lotus bracket is home to the two largest upsets of the tournament thus far with the number 6 seed, Fernando Alonso falling at the first hurdle by a large margin to boot being defeated by wild card, Robert Kubica 8-1. Kubica is not the only wildcard to make it in to round 2 with Kamui Kobayashi hammering the number 11 seed Damon Hill! Indeed all the matches of the bracket were onesided affairs with Hunt-Arnoux the closest pair with a 6-3 win for the Brit. The result in Full:

3.Aryton Senna defeats WC2.Martin Brundle 9-0
30.James Hunt defeats 35.Rene Arnoux 6-3

WC1.Robert Kubica defeats 6.Fernado Alonso 8-1

On to round 2! Opening the second round for the Ferrari Bracket is number 1 seed and 7 times world champion Michael Schumacher who takes on 2009 champion Jenson Button. Can Keke Rosberg, Gilles Villeneuve and Jacques Laffite continue to cause upsets? They face; Lewis Hamilton, Juan Manuel Fangio and Niki Lauda, respectivly. Also in action today is The Williams Bracket, Nigel Mansell only just scraped past Wild card Pironi in the first round and now finds himself against 1979 world champion Jody Scheckter. Alberto Ascari Ferrari's first champion takes on Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari's most recent champion. Mark Webber defeated half of Mclaren's line up for their last World Constructers championship, can he beat the other half, Mika Hakkinen. Whilst Jackie Stewart takes on Ronnie Peterson.
The topic for both the brackets is: 5.Greatest Ability in a Slower Car
Any driver can win with the best car, it takes a true champion to win in an inferior car. Vote for a driver based on their performances in the worst cars of their careers.

1.Michael Schumacher vs 32.Jenson Button
48.Keke Rosberg vs 16.Lewis Hamilton
