That I'm yet to figure out. For all I know it's probably the same parameters to GP2.

The new gearbox worked wonders in the car although initially the new suspension component proved inconclusive as on the first day our best time was a 1:30.890, three tenths faster than the shakedown test. However the next day we got a new rear wing main plane to test on the car and coupled with the new suspension components it meant we found another 4 tenths to post a fastest time of 1:30.497 as well as cure many of the balance issues I've had with the car. There is still some high-speed oversteer we have to cure and for that we're planning minor tweaks on the rear wing. Once that is sorted out we expect to have the cars ready for a full grid test for the first time at Oschersleben before another test at Le Mans as the build up to the FedEx 100 at Indianapolis.

I have some questions regarding this championship:
-When will it begin?
-Who makes the races?
-Do we need to choose a chassis and engine just like in the main championship or are they standard?

Wizzie will make the races happen.

I'm pretty sure the chassis and engines are standard.

Oschersleben Test: Day 1

The first day of the new feeder series was a huge success for all involved as the teams get used to the cars. The only problem on track was George Liquor had a BMW engine failure as this was the first race for the new BMW powerplant specially made for the series. Up front and it was MRT's lead driver Mitchell Macklin leading the way from Tanner Jason and Anton Bosevic. Further down the field Giconi Okorie and Catarina Lopes both had major problems of their own as they were 21st and 22nd by the day's end.

Results:

1. M. Macklin (MRT): 1:17.165
2. T. Jason (Rising Ashes): +0.045
3. A. Bosevic (Hydook): +0.089
4. A. Cara (Beirão Portugal): +0.469
5. M. Simon (MRT): +0.507
6. T. Nash (Holden Young Lions: +0.513
7. N. Bellic (Rising Ashes): +0.516
8. L. Seron (Gillet): +0.576
9. A. Kremincky (Aston Martin): +0.639
10. H. Shioya (Kit-Kat): +1.005
11. M. Bizzarri (Trueba): +1.037
12. M. Robertson (Simpson): +1.274
13. S. Morgan (Falik Arrows): +1.337
14. R. Vantini (Falik Arrows): +1.568
15. D. Lei (Trueba): +1.779
16. W. Lamberigts (Gillet): +1.893
17. D. Anderson (Simpson): +2.255
18. G. Liquor (Holden Young Lions): +2.270
19. A. Marchesi (Aston Martin): +2.524
20. J. Rueckert (Hydook): +3.913
21. G. Okorie (Kit-Kat): + 5.251
22. C. Lopes (Beirão Portugal): +8.467

This is my first time editing performance files so I'll probably end up making some more changes before I get to a solution everyone's happy with,

Well actually I can edit qualifying peformance, qualifying consistancy, race performance and qualifying performance. The file I'm using right now is based on the Barcelona GP2 performance file with numbers rounded to the nearest 500, 2000 consistancy points for everyone for both qualifying and the race (For the record a lower score means more consistancy), 750 bhp from the BMW engine and 5000 reliability points for all the teams (again lower score means better reliability). As it stands this will be the file used for the first test but there probably will be changes made before the second test at Le Mans. If all goes well then the one used at Le Mans will be the same one used at Indianapolis.

Make my driver Lamberigts a good qualifier and and ab average racer
edit: or better a bit of a hamilton type of racer (very fast but sometimes overdriving or just being an idiot)

Performance exists and ability doesn't

Anyways:

Oschersleben Test: Day 2

Rain in the afternoon meant that the best times were set in the morning but even so the teams got valuable miles on the Michelin wet and extreme wet tyres. The general hierarchy from the day before remained but it was Tanner Jason's turn to take the top of the time sheets from Mitchell Macklin and Anton Bosevic. Jason's car had an engine blowup while Macklin's teammate Marie Simon and Bosevic's teammate Johannes Rueckert had a coming together on track but those were the only incidents of note.

Results:

1. T. Jason (Rising Ashes): 1:17.196
2. M. Macklin (MRT): +0.155
3. A. Bosevic (Hydook): +0.181
4. T. Nash (Holden Young Lions): +0.326

21. G. Okorie (Kit-Kat): + 5.030
22. C. Lopes (Beirão Portugal): +9.556

Oschersleben Test: Day 3

The teams focused on race simulations for the day although that didn't stop the drama. By far the heart stopping moment for the day was the huge accident that Anton Bosevic suffered after he and Sani Morgan got together early on in the day writing off Bosevic's car after it did several flips. Bosevic clambered out of the car unharmed much to the relief of everyone at the track and as a testament to just how strong the F2RWRS cars that Lola produce are. There were also a few minor collisions but nothing more than a few front wings lost. The pitstop practices brought their own set of problems as Tanner Jason found out as his right rear wheel fell off after a pitstop. Laurent Seron made amends for his average form thus far in the test to be miles quicker than anyone else and the only person to dip into the 1:18s ahead of Niko Bellic and Marie Simon.

Results:

1. L. Seron (Gillet): 1:18.560
2. N. Bellic (Rising Ashes): +0.710
3. M. Simon (MRT): +0.888
4. A. Kremincky (Aston Martin): +1.817
5. M. Macklin (MRT): +1.934
6. D. Lei (Trueba): +2.271
7. A. Cara (Beirão Portugal): +2.386
8. T. Nash (Holden Young Lions): +2.425
9. M. Bizzarri (Trueba): +2.592
10. R. Vantini (Falik Arrows): +2.633
11. M. Robertson (Simpson): +3.039
12. T. Jason (Rising Ashes): +3.661
13. G. Okorie (Kit-Kat): +3.762
14. G. Liquor (Holden Young Lions): +3.830
15. D. Anderson (Simpson): +3.865
16. J. Rueckert (Hydook): +4.079
17. C. Lopes (Beirão Portugal): +4.442
18. A. Marchesi (Aston Martin): +4.619
19. H. Shioya (Kit-Kat): +4.695
20. A. Bosevic (Hydook): +5.410
21. W. Lamberigts (Gillet): +7.076
22. S. Morgan (Falik Arrows): +7.589.

I think I'm starting to get an idea about how the performance files are working but in order to confirm a theory I'm starting to develop I need to run a third test at Imola before the Le Mans test so I can get more information with this performance file before making any changes.

NOTE: The Imola test uses the same performance file as the Oschersleben test. For the record the test was successful for me as the performance file did what it was supposed to do (i.e have the results vastly different from Oschersleben). Changes will be made for the Le Mans test to the performance file and if all goes well it will be the one used for Indianapolis.

Imola Test - Day 1

While the main game had yet another exciting race weekend at Japan there were no major incidents to report as the data Daniel Melrose had collected from his run at Imola a few weeks ago was put to good use by all the teams. Tommy Nash singled himself out as one to watch for the upcoming season as he set a fastest time which was only a tenth shy of the record Melrose had set. Andrej Kremnicky and Hansuke Shioya were second and third after being stuck in the midfield at Oschersleben showed the depth of the talent in the field. Johannes Rueckert continued to struggle however as he couldn't get used to the kerb-hopping nature of the Imola circuit.

Results:

1. T. Nash (Holden Young Lions: 1:30.599
2. A. Kremincky (Aston Martin): +0.376
3. H. Shioya (Kit-Kat): +0.512

F2RWRS driver George Liquor has been told that his seat at Holden Young Lions may be in danger, even before the season begins. In the recent test day at Imola, his teammate Tommy Nash set the fastest time of the day, while Liquor was 3 seconds off his pace, and more than a second behind the next slowest driver. His performances in the remaining tests and in the FedEx 100 at Indianapolis will decide if he remains at the team. If he does not perform to at least Nash's standard, he may be made to leave his seat. It is believed that Poppy Whitechapel, who is the test driver for Garry Rogers Motorsport in the F1RWRS, would be the favourite for the seat.
