DAGNALL ENGINEERING CHANGES NAME

Current F1RWRS driver and constructor champions Dagnall Engineering are to change the team name for the 2014 season to DGNgineering. Team owner and now retired driver Chris Dagnall told us, "We felt a change was needed. We don´t think people have to associate the team with our family name that much anymore, we want to be taken as a serious, professional outfit. That´s what we are". DGNgineering will feature Mark Dagnall and Nathan Scott as drivers for 2014.

Mark Dagnall asks... I always considered a driver to change teams mid-season sucks... Do you think you could´ve drunk more Monstah to avoid this?

MA-Racing continue their search for a second driver today, after Jason Hamilton made it clear he would not join a team competing in the pre-qualifying lottery. "Its pretty shameful really", said an obviously annoyed Mr.Alexander, "Jason is a new driver who clearly thinks he deserves a better team. Sure his test with HRT, MRT or whoever they are went well, but there's no reason for him or another team boss to say, 'don't bother as they're new'. We are here to compete as a professional outfit, no joking around."
Whilst confirmation on their second driver is still undecided, several drivers are still available for 'part-time' slots. "Alexey is our third driver, and whilst I've made it clear he will race for us as some point, I'd like to know if he is ready to start the season as our second driver. Stephen Mackintosh too, still has close links to the team and has already said he'd love to drive again for us. Formula 3 driver Massimiliano Torbani is another driver who we've spoken to, so we have options."
Whoever is chosen to team up with Valsattis and MA-Racing for their debut race needs to show their worth soon.

In the afternoon, F2RWRS drivers Tommy Nash and George Liquor were given a go in the GRM. Young driver Jason Hamilton wasn't given a drive today, but it is believed that he was good enough over the other two days to warrant a drive in the F2RWRS near the end of the year. Whether HRT gives him a chance is dependent on Liquor's performance in the series when it begins next year.

MA-Racing: Feeder series a good idea.

Mr.Alexander spoke out about the proposed junior series to the RWRS, as predicted by Autosport. "After missing a spot in the F2RWRS, we would love another series to start so we could give our younger drivers a competitive weekend. But I do think only teams currently racing in the main series should be allowed a team, keeping it as a youth team series."

Small car and Motorbike maker Suzuki have confirmed that they have put in a bid to supply the chassis and engine for F3RWRS, Suzuki do have their own Formula Suzuki in Japan and they think they can easily modify them to F3 standards, they also say that not being in the F1RWRS should make them more neutral then any other bid.

Sunshine to announce 2nd driver soon
Sunshine have delayed annoucing their second driver until the chassis and engine regulations for F1RWRS have been finalised, they say that they have a shortlist of two drivers depending on the regulations as one will suit better then the other. Sunshine has a terrible time last year but did have a win and two second places to rescue their season and get them out of prequalifying.

Kamaha in trouble?
We hear rumours that Kamaha one of the oldest teams in F1RWRS could have trouble finding funding for the coming season after sponsors pulled out after a lack luster season with only 3 5ths and a 6th to show for it. However Barii Mori has said that Kamaha will be on the grid next season and that they are looking into funding options. There are rumours that Nicolas Steeles drive could be dependent on if Steele can bring funds to the team.

Mirko Bosevic looking for a drive - this is an obvious statement, as he is one of the drivers that follows F1RWRS and shows up on every race from the very beginning of the series. Since his start in Budweiser 500 for CR Motorsport, he's a real contender for a seat in some teams, like ArrowTech. But recently another veteran showed interest in joining the series for real.
Monegasque driver, Francois Albertini, is willing to pay loads of money for a place to stay in F1RWRS. So far none of the teams has showed interest in hiring the 46 years old enterpreneur, but his money will soon get him a drive for one of the backmarkers. We'll keep you updated on this one.

KAMAHA TO AVOID PRE-QUALIFYING

The F1Rejects council has sent a press note stating that Kamaha will be allowed to escape Pre-Qualifying for the first part of the 2014 Season after the departure of Flying Fish motorsports.

F1RWRS COMISSION TO INTRODUCE BUDGET CAP WITH INMEDIATE EFFECT

The F1RWRS Comission has announced today in a shock move that they will introduce a Cap of 1000 Credits per team per season in order to keep competition at its best. The president of the comission, Daniel Johanesson, said that they hoped this move will allow not successful teams to rebuild better in order to bring closer racing. "We were analyzing the figures some of the best teams achieved, like DGNgineering or Foxdale, and we observed that it wouldn´t be fair to the smallest teams to compete with these people, as the prize credits they´ve earned are "an awful lot". Chris Dagnall, manager of DGNgineering said "I don´t like it, but it doesn´t bother us that much. We can win again". The F1RWRS said that they will re-estructure the prize credits awarded for the 2014 season to "closer figures among the top 3 finishers in each championship".

Would this budget cap be big enough for a team like Foxdale to work on their reliability and prevent them from falling into pre-qualifying, which clearly hindered some teams in the past season?
