Hi all,

OK, right now I'm in a quandary. I, as a moderator, have the obligation and the duty to control and stop all sorts of amiss behaviour that occurs on these boards. However, I have to say objectively that this thread is producing a very healthy level of entertainment. Thus, as a measured moderator, I have to avoid at all costs to level any kind of entertainment that comes out of these boards by their members, because I, as a competent moderator, know entertainment is the bread and butter of any good forum. Thus, after long deliberations, I have decided that I'll let this thread open until it really gets out of hand, not least of which any human being, no matter his age, experience or rejectfulness level, has the right to freely express himself in these boards. Although I, as a strict moderator, have to warn our new user, while I greet him to our forum, that it's paramount to read the rules before making any contribution to ensure he or she is a helpful contributor to our boards, while always respecting the sacred principles of grammar, ortography, punctuation and capitalisation.

May HWNSNBM be with all you, and welcome Formula1Fan.

Yours sincerely,

Phoenix

I'm trying to think of a way to respond to this in a civilised yet entertaining manner but nothing I think up won't get me banned for two weeks as a result. Over to you, Angus :P

(10 HWNSNBM points if anyone gets the reference)

The first one was from this site called TV Tropes (Which incidentally enough is probably a great site to head to if one has writer's block) and the other is from an old episode of Have I Got News For You. And can I just say that was probably one of the most elegant posts from someone whose not Mario that I've ever seen? :P

I don't think so. The guy I'm thinking of is 14, Australian and is named after a certain reject team ;)

You started out on a false premise. This is an active member of this forum. Are you implying that This may be a liar? :o

And Formulaonefan, you may not be able to race Lewis Hamilton, but Jason Hamilton is who it is all about here!

He's right though, i don't really exist, i'm part of your collective imagination. Nothing to worry about, though, that is completely normal for F1-rejects-forumites.
As long as nobody on this forum has met me in real life, no one can prove i exist.

Considering that meme started back in 2007, I'd say that's a pretty conservative estimate. Generally memes stop being funny after about a year or two, with the exception of All Your Base Are Belong To Us, because that is clearly the best meme.

If I'm quite honest, making duplicate accounts, particularly just to take the piss, is something that really shouldn't be tolerated.

Everyone likes to have a laugh and a joke, but let's keep it at least a bit mature, please?

It's not a bad problem. It's given the forum a giggle for the weekend.

As long as it's not done on a regular basis, I don't see it being a problem. Phoenix was spot-on with his comment on the previous page.

Completely agree. I know I was playing along earlier, but this is the kind of thing that can quite easily destroy the tone of a forum. I'd hate to see that happen here, but it seems to be, if slowly. If I were Phoenix I would lock this now, and, while I don't want to be stirring things above my station, give eurobrun a serious warning, that any more nonsense like this and he'll be on a one-way train to Bansville, population about 5.

Edit: And in response to the above, Whole Spanish Press is (was?) a satire on the sensationalist journalistic habits of the gutter Spanish media. This was just pointless crap.

Or rename the thread to something like "Potential spambots read this" so they understand how much abuse they might get for being knobs.

After reviewing everything on this thread, I have to say the following things:
-Making duplicate accounts is pointless, but let's be fair with eurobrun. He's still a kid, and he was in no way malevolous. I think he doesn't deserve any kind of menace.
-I will lock the thread.
-I don't want to see any more duplicate accounts, and no more Whole Spanish Press either. If I make a rule with the powers being a moderator gives me, there will be no exceptions.
-HWNSNBM is powerful, more than what we will all ever be.
-i really enjoyed the Danny Ongais profile, even though this is not the place to say it. Just wanted to close the thread on a low note
