1983 had Canada on June 12 then a 5 week break to Silverstone on July 16 - then another three week break after that to Hockenheim on Aug 7!
Also 1998 had Japan as the last race on Nov 1, 5 weeks after the 2nd last race on Sep 27 - what a horrible wait that was for a championship conclusion!!

1998 would have been more horrible if the championship had been decided before the final race.

1998 would have been more horrible if the championship had been decided before the final race.
I remember it well.... it was also back in the days of dial up internet
just realised it is 15 years since i first connected to the internet.
