Until Derek Palmer Jr in 2015 and Mark Howard in 2016.FloProAct wrote: ↑09 Apr 2013, 11:19 I'll add a few more notables to the list:
Hyla Breese - Best finish 21st. Possibly the unluckiest driver ever in the BTCC. Spent the second half of 2002 in a Team B&Q Accord in the Production Class, but only managed to start three races. Had so many engine changes, he became the only driver in BTCC history to score minus points...

Seems to have brought him good luck though, scored his first points in a wet Race 2 at Donington Park, finished P7.dr-baker wrote: ↑14 Apr 2023, 06:03Oh, I did notice that. I just assumed it was stylised or something. But if the number is straight on the other side, than that is a very strange thing indeed!Har1MAS1415 wrote: ↑13 Apr 2023, 18:36I should have been more clear. I was referring to the fact that the numbers on the rear window are all cockeyed. They got it right on the other side.
Sam Osborne is probably the luckiest bastard in recent BTCC History, P4 on the road, promoted to his first podium after newcomer Ronan Pearson was disqualified.

Wish someone would do an article commemorating Team HARD now that Tony Gilham's outfit has folded and sold off some of their Cupras.

Yes, that's a thought, I have been entertaining the idea.dr-baker wrote: ↑20 Dec 2023, 21:26You could do it perhaps?Har1MAS1415 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2023, 15:28 Wish someone would do an article commemorating Team HARD now that Tony Gilham's outfit has folded and sold off some of their Cupras.

Can't do that just yet, the team has survived but downsized to just a single entry for the time being.Har1MAS1415 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2023, 21:46Yes, that's a thought, I have been entertaining the idea.dr-baker wrote: ↑20 Dec 2023, 21:26You could do it perhaps?Har1MAS1415 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2023, 15:28 Wish someone would do an article commemorating Team HARD now that Tony Gilham's outfit has folded and sold off some of their Cupras.

SW-S also counts as a reject in this respect. Best results were a pair of 7th places.Samster wrote: ↑22 Nov 2013, 16:24In their final season, Proton decided to sign two seemingly random foreign rookies in South African, Shaun Watson-Smith and Malaysian, Farique Hairuman. While SWS proved to be halfway decent, even scoring a couple of fastest laps, Hairuman was hopelessly slow and prone to accidents, only ever being ahead of John George and Richard Marsh in their awful S2000 Civics on a regular basis. His performance can be summed up by the fact he was the only driver all season to fail to score either overall points or indy points (for which he was of course ineligible for), even Marsh and George managed to score soem indy points.Freeze-O-Kimi wrote:Think a thread bump is in store here
What about John Thorne in the awful Thorney motorsport team? did just 2 meetings in 2012 with a best finish of 16th and 3 DNS's at Donington
Can someone please tel me a little bit about Farique Hairuman so I don't have to ask about it anymore?

What about drivers who shone in the Production Class but not in the Touring Class?
