That's one vote. What your second?

1. Kamui Kobayashi
2. Luca Badoer (simply because him actually getting into a Ferrari seemed so improbable in the beginning of the season...)
I would've voted for Jenson Button, but went against it since Captain Hammer is being a bit of a Button fanboi and throwing his toys out of the pram in regards to Kobayashi at every opportunity simply because Kobayashi victimized Button for some of his finest moments. =P

Come on people, cast your votes. There are over 500 members on the board and we've just had under 20 votes, that is just 4%!!! Remember to read the first page before casting votes and keep a certain Japanese driver in mind when you vote (hint - it's not Kazuki Nakajima....)

Agreed. That's totally ballot-stuffing right there.

Kobayashi, Badoer, Brawn GP... fairly standard, isn't it?

Ahh but top posting members like Yannick, Nuppiz, Henrique, Fjackdaw, Debaser, rfffp, dr-baker, Dontirri and Bleu have all failed to vote even though they have visited the site in the last few days...
Anyway I wasn't ballot stuffing, just hinting that a certain Japanese driver has been driving better then any Japanese driver since Aguri Suzuki, Ukyo Katayama or Takuma Sato...

My vote goes to Button. My main argument is that he looked worse than Rubens in 2008 and then completely destroyed him at the start of the season.

1. Brawn GP: Came from nonexistence to to both drivers and constructors champions.
2. Kamui Kobayashi: Came out of nowhere to instant stardom.

1. Force India.
I really did not see the results in Belgium and Monza coming.
2. Kobayashi
I lost my confidence in him during this GP2 season, so the pleasant surprise was even greater when he debuted.
The Brawn-story is incredible, but once we saw the testing pace, the actual results was not too surprising.

1. Brawn - I'm sorry, but who expected that!
2. Vettel - we all knew he was a star of the future, but I never thought he would be a title challenger this year.

2nd vote to Red Bull then. Renault engine was not along the best and they were lacking DD at the beginning. Surely they did some mistakes but in overall they were clearly 2nd best team.

1: HWNSNBM - Will always recieve this award, even though he has been out of F1 since 2004.
2: Cowboy-ashi - Definently the most surprising driver of the season. No-one was expecting him to escape the back row let alone score points and have a battle with the eventual champion
Honourable Mentions: Force India (scoring a podium at Spa), Brawn GP (Winning both championships in first and only season), Renault (Managing to get a driver worse than Piquet) and Mark Webber (First win after 130 starts).

1. Kobayashi - so unfair if he can't get drive for 2010.
2. Hamilton - I did detest him so much it scared me, however, this year he wasn't in the best car for the first time but kept plugging away and avoided making arrogant remarks every time a camera was pointed at him and got decent results by the end. There is hope.

1) Fisichella - for that excellent pole position and second place in Belgium.
2) Kobayashi - for providing the most excitement that Toyota ever produced in Formula One.

OK, ok, I have been shamed by "SUPER Aguri" to vote.
1. Kobayashi
It has to be him. A true-blue nobody who came out of now where to challenge the world champion. In a car that sucked; backed by a team that had to know, at some level, their days were numbered. Morale was down in the dumpster; Fisichella earlier fled to Ferrari for what all knew would only be a handfull of races. Yet, still, this sushi chef apprentice with threadbare qualifications bursts onto the scene and sets jaws dropping and tongues wagging. Who would have guessed?
2. Badoer
I trashed him in earlier posts because it was so ridiculus to expect someone like him to do well in a car. While his performance was poor, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. He gave a reasonable account of himself and likely did better than could have been expected. In hindsight, I was wrong to trash him, he did OK...against all odds.

1. Brawn
2. Nico Rosberg
Regarding number 2, either Nakajima was bad or the car was. I'll go with the car and say it was all Rosberg.
I simply can't vote for Kobayashi after only two races.

2) Barrichello for overcoming his own early season demons to win 2 races

1. Kobayashi -- I absolutely did not expect him to do as well as he did.
2. Force India -- they produced a car that was capable of winning a race, even if they were foiled yet again by Kimi (+5 vs. Force India).

Can I still vote?
1) Brawn GP
2) Kobayashi
Honourable mentions: Farce (sorry Force) India, Luca Badoer (for actually getting to drive a Ferrari), Kimi Raikkonen (for you didn't expect him to become that good in a frozen Ferrari).

1) Brawn GP. Even with the Honda design, getting to the grid at all was a triumph, let alone winning both championships.
2) Kamui Kobayashi. I know it's a bit of a clichéd choice by now, but he's the only driver to have come in during the season and score points (Liuzzi came close, but unreliability meant that it wasn't to be). Beating Nakajima over the course of two races when Nakajima had the whole season is something to talk about.
