AFAIK all four Mastercard Lancias are Lola B15/00s with Honda powerplants, and all driver have maxed out skills. What to do with my prize money?

"So this race promises to be an exciting affair between Mastercard Lola and Mecha Grand Prix, with an interesting note. Both teams utilize the new Lola B15/00 and Honda engines, the dominant package in this year's season. So it all comes down to the drivers. Here's Jack Arute to catch up with them.[...]
Paul Page, on lap 5 wrote:"Oh, and that's Pastor Maldonado right there, who's put his car to the wall. And I have the feeling that I've said this sentence way too often in this season."

"And here's the replay."
Danny Sullivan wrote:"Watch this Paul, this is a typical rookie mistake when being lapped. Joao tried to pass him from the left, but for some reason, O.N. had to swerve to the left, too. Thankfully Cavalcanti's car didn't climb on the rear wheel of Duck's car."

"Before this race starts, let's take a look at the season finale at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. 500.000 $ are up for grabs for the winner of this race, and one participant has already announced his entry. O.N. Duck Jr., father of O.N. Duck III. There haven't been further announcements yet, but some more entrants are expected to come in the next weeks. But on this weekend, ICS officials have announced the format for the final weekend of the season:
- First 30 drivers in the drivers' championship are locked-in entries. That means that they won't have to compete in pre-qualifying.
- The other drivers in the championship, as well as the additional one-off entries will fight for the remaining 12 positions in a special pre-qualifying shootout.
- The qualified 42 drivers will them compete for the pole in a qualifying session.[...]"

The CART Chronicle wrote:Mastercard Lola downsizing for next year?
Rumours are circulating that Mastercard Lola will downsize from their current four-car operation in next year's F1RICS, having renewed the contract of only one driver for next season.
The championship contenders earlier today announced a contract extension for Italian rookie Salvatore Miccoli, who is currently vying with Dave Anderson for the driver's title. However team-mates Vincenzo Sospiri, Roberto Moreno and Diego Maruicio Batistuta have yet to sign new deals for next season, with rumours suggesting the three of them are competing over one seat for next season.
"Nothing is certain for next year, aside from Salvatore returning for next season," said team principal Alasdair Lindsay. "We intend to field as many cars as is possible, we are a big team and one that wants to contribue to the success of the championship."

I'd normally say that stats would cost you only 1/10ths of the normal costs, but then we'd see everyone entering drivers with 30 skills points. So one-off driver will come at the normal rates, but chassis and engines can "leased" for 1/10ths of the normal costs.
And yes, you could enter two guest drivers.
P.S.: CART...I will not tolerate any "organisation" that acts autonomously from our own.

Autosport wrote:"Mayor engine manufacturer rumoured to have uncovered "loophole" in IndyCar regulations
With this year's Indy Championship Series (Known as IndyCar from next year on) drawing to a close, the preparations for next year are already fully under way. The hottest rumour is about a yet unnamed manufacturer, which has uncovered a loophole in IndyCar's regulations. Indy's engine regulations stipulate 3-litre turbo engines. The rules also explicitly mandate a maximum of six cylinders for purpose-built racing engines. But there hasn't been any word on production-based engines, thus creating the potential for a manufacturer to enter a production-based turbo engine with more than six cylinders.
Alledgedly, one manufacturer is already working on a production-based 3.0l V8 turbo. While the V8 will indeed be production-based, it could still draw more power than the current V6 engines. It hasn't been known yet, who's going to enter the engine. The manufacturer would like to remain anonymous until the very last moment, in order to avoid any protests by others. The only thing certain, is that said manufacturer is already active in IndyCar racing.

Mastercard Lola have announced they have secured Roberto Moreno and Vincenzo Sospiri for another year, adding them to the team alongside championship leader Salvatore Miccoli. The deals confirm the team will run at least three cars again next year, however crash-happy Diego Mauricio Batistuta is still without a contract for next season, an the only ML driver outside the Top 10 in points this year. His prospects for next year look bleak in the ICS, however it is expected he will move across to Europe to race-full time there instead.

The chase for the Indy Championship goes on, and things look very good for Salvatore Miccoli. Once more noticable is the domination of the Honda-powered cars, although Ford seems to have picked up some ground towards their Japanese rivals, as Antonio Reyna-Sanchez once again parked his Lola-Ford in the top 10.

Mecha Grand Prix can celebrate another race victory, although the wrong driver might have won. Harold Watson won the race in front of Bobby Dollar, with just a couple of inches between them. Salvatore Miccoli meanwhile scored third, whereas Dave Anderson just finished in 10th position. That means that Miccoli can already clinch this year's championship at the next race in Laguna Seca. Kenan Ardaoglu can probably bury his championship hopes, as he retired early in the race, due to problems with fuel pressure.

Yes, even non-finishers within the top 20 receive points. By the way, I feel that I already have proper standings, but it can't do harm if one calculates the points again.

I mean, I'm actually growing more fond of it the more I do the standings, especially with those ridiculous 40 car grids at places like Montreal and Watkins Glen.

Because I'm lazy, and a less complicated system suits me better.Seriously, I'll implement pre-qualifying and grid limits at the road courses next year. Thus, there wouldn't be much sense for 20 points finishers in a race with 30 participants.
